I'm a 90's kid and this is the kind of music I grew up with and I agree also if I count lol.
I was one of the only metal heads in my high school in Ireland. My friends all liked rap and electronic dance music and wore Nike and Adidas tracksuits whereas I was rocking boots, jeans and a leather jacket and vests. I was the odd one out and got so much crap from everyone including my mates 😂 but it was the pioneers of this music in the 70's and 80's that got me interested in the modern rock and metal scene rather than the reverse of discovering old music later in life. They must be appreciated.

To me, people giving you $h!t is like someone giving it to me because when I was 11 when this song came out, I loved it, BUT, in saying that, I also was checking out the Beatles, beach Boys, Danny and the juniors, Chuck berry, the untouchable BUDDY F'N HOLLY, The Who, etc... so, u guess we're in the same boat, right? I respect ya for expanding your musical library. Also, I caught alot of crap because I started to dabble into listening to Mozart, Bach, Strauss, etc. It's funny how much Mwtal and Classical have the same complexity, meaning the building of emotions throughout the song/piece, and how they do it it within the chord structure and the flow of the music. Also, there was a study at Princeton University and they discovered that the people with the highest I.Q's listened to Classical. I bet you can't guess who came in a close 2nd place? Yep, you guessed it, fans of Metal!!! With hard rock and rock coming in 3rd, then country and bubble gum pop [ Top 40 radio music] then rap bringing up the final spot respectfully. Anyways, got off track there, I just think it's kinda comical that this girl I met in high school HATED Metal because un her words it was music for satanic burnouts, who couldn't tie their shoes if you gave them 6 tries!!! Lol. So, as we became friends, we slowly got to know each others friends, and instead of being afraid of my friends, she ended up enjoying talking with them. She was shocked at most of their knowledge in books, history, and their philosophical look at music. And, soon (Though she NEVER became a fan of Metal music, she LOVED the story telling and how well versed the song writers were). She ended up looking at her friends very differently after that, and sion realized that most of them were just copying other people's thoughts, and just adding their own verbiage to them. Instead of, like my friends, having original thoughts, ideas, and takes on things, though not always correct, they learned alot by throwing their own ideas our there, and having each of us either correct them where they were wrong, or being fascinated by them and adding to them. To wrap up this story about this "high school friend" we each went and lived life on our own paths for several years, before running back into each other years later. 18 years, and a beautiful baby boy later, I can honestly say I've NEVER been with someone I've had more fun talking to, even after all these years. We still learn things from each order. We constantly ask each other if the other knows the answer to whatever problem they're having. And we enjoy bouncing things off of each other, and seeing what we can learn from the other. I'm completely and totally in love with her, and can tell just by the way she still looks at me that she loves me. With just a look, she let's me know that I'm the love of her life. Those are the times that my knees almost give out. Anyways, she's the absolute missing piece to the puzzle that is my happiness. And, I can't remember how I was ever happy without her!!! Lol. Anyways, I wanna end this novel by saying, I LOVE YA BEAUTIFUL, and thank you to all the Metal artists who gave us fodder to discuss while we was getting to know each others personal thoughts on!!!

    You gotta throw some
love and respect to Randy Rhoads, the legend, a true guitar hero who wrote this music and saved Ozzy’s ass from the out house pit. Tony Iomi is from Black Sabbath who had a missing finger, well I think half was missing. Tony is a great guitarist but Randy was something very special, trained in classical guitar 🎸. He taught music at his mom’s music school “ the musonia “ or something like that, hell idk how to spell it. Randy has been an inspiration to so many and the reason that so many have picked up the guitar 🎸. He was killed about 45 minutes from where I live because their last concert was in Knoxville, TN, they made a pit stop after that show, R goes on a joyride that he really did not want to be a part of but was talked into it, anyway the rest is nightmarish history. We lost one of the worlds greatest guitarists on that dreadful day in March 1982. Randy will always be remembered for his mad skills as a guitarist and saving Ozzy’s ass because Ozzy would not have had his”awesome” comeback if it hadn’t been for RR in my humble opinion. Mol, you should take a listen to both records blizzard of oz and diary of a madman. The guitar work drums bass, all of it was just outstanding. Ozzy’s best lineup, Tommy Aldridge on drums, Rudy Sarzo bass, and Randy on lead guitar. Incredible lineup, ozzy’s best ever . The solos are excellent, mr Crowley, I don’t know, revalalation (Mother Earth) Randy’s classical piece called Dee( named after his mom Deloris), my personal fave, flyin high which is off diary. Every song on both is incredible. You have to hear R. He’s amazing and still has awesome impact even today. Thanks Mol, you won’t be disappointed !
    🤘🏼💀🤘🏼. 🎸. 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼
He was 25 when he died. Oh Ozzy was fired from sabbath in 1979. Randy had just been presented worlds best new young guitarist award.
❤️💙💜💚❤️💙💜💚❤️💙💜 I will always love Randy. His music lives on forever and so does he right here in my broken heart 💔.RANDY WAS MAGICAL ✨💫🌟⚡️💫🌟✨💫🌟⚡️💫

Crazy Train is pretty good, but there’s better! I’d recommend “Diary of a Madman” if you want to hear Randy Rhoads at his peak, before he tragically died. His next guitarist (Jake E. Lee) was excellent- check out “Shot In the Dark” or “Ultimate Sin”. An added bonus- he also played in the band Badlands, and “Winter’s Call” is outstanding. His NEXT guitarist was crazy good (Zakk Wylde), and I hold the entire album “No Rest For The Wicked” in very high regard. “Miracle Man”, “Devil’s Daughter”, which has a ridiculous guitar solo, and “Crazy Babies” are just a few highlights.

I grew up in California, but maybe because I'm Latino, I didn't even hear this one until I was like 19 or 20, and I am sure I was wearing that same stank face during that entire solo as well. But honestly, it feels kind of disrespectful to just call it a "solo"! Glad you are on the crazy train now.

While we all tend to lean on the guitarists, drums, and vocals... the lyrics are also incredible.
One of my favorites from Ozzy is actually a slow and beautiful song. For dinner history: "Goodbye to Romance" was the first track written for Blizzard of Ozz, and the first song that Osbourne and guitarist Randy Rhoads completed together.

I'm so happy that you have discovered Ozzy Osbourne (he's awesome with both Black Sabbath and solo too). I'm happy that young folks are giving older music from all genres a try. I'm one of the "old folks" and there are alot more of us without the courage to try the music styles of the younger generations. I admit that I'm a slacker when it comes to the "music appreciation exchange". I'm a 60yr old woman from Maine. Music is Universal and speaks to everyone no matter their age, gender, race, language, life experiences, etc.Keep up the awesome job you're doing my young friend . There is a music based organization that promotes world peace, education in music and the other arts and help/assistance to those in need. The organization is called Playing For Change. Sometimes famous people as well as street performers contribute their time and talents to the music/dance projects,as well as help feed the hungry, house the homeless, etc. I absolutely love PFC and the preservation of music and traditional cultures. ❤❤❤Brightest Blessings from Maine,USA.💕💕💕💕👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Glad you've discovered Ozzy and Randy! I hear you on how people sometimes give reactors crap about listening to the "wrong" version of a song, but the live material is great! There are two main sources for live material from this time: 1) Ozzy's album "Tribute" from 1987. The album was released a few years after Randy died, but (almost) all of the music was from a live concert in 1981 (iirc, two tracks were from a live concert in 1980). The official video for "Crazy Train" does not use the studio version from the "Blizzard of Ozz" album but the live performance from the "Tribute" album (although, to your point, it did get edited down!)! If someone told me they wanted to listen to Ozzy for the first time, I'd tell them to listen to the "Tribute" album.
    2) The video from the 1981 "After Hours" TV show. When Ozzy was on tour in 1981, they did a short performance (4 songs) in upstate New York at a local TV studio. Besides the awesome live footage of the band, the sound is also great because they brought the sound guys from their tour instead of relying on whoever was at the studio. You can find the videos on UA-cam if you do a search like < Ozzy live after hours 1981 >. See Randy play live! (except when the director cuts to shots of other people during the guitar solos!)
