This all happened when I was in high school, and it's hard to describe the mixed feelings of being sad about him leaving Black Sabbath, but then suddenly there's this huge hit on the radio, and as a young musician, I just loved that guitar riff so much, and of course I love his voice on it, and I generally like the overall structure of it. Ozzie's solo years brings back memories...yaw have to remember these guys are old enough to have lived through the reconstruction of England during/after WW2. so, they know war firsthand.
Watched this live back in the early 80’s at the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles. The line up was Ozzy, Randy Rhoads, Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge. Ozzy is a legend. RIP Randy🙏🏻
Ozzy's solo stuff, especially the first 2 albums (Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman) are loaded with amazing songs. You should check out as many as you can.
The songs on the first 2 Ozzy albums were written by Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley, and Ozzy. People that work with Ozzy say he is good at lyric ideas and melody, so he obviously participated in songwriting. Lee Kerslake was brought onboard before recording the albums. Don Airey played and wrote some keyboard parts in the studio. That version of the band (except with Lindsay Bridgwater on the keyboards) did a European tour between the first 2 albums. After the second album was recorded, Daisley and Kerslake were fired. Ozzy was fortunate enough to surround himself with talented musicians. The touring band was Randy, Tommy Aldridge, Rudy Sarzo, and Lindsay Bridgwater. All very good musicians. The concerts were next-level because of the talent on the stage. Before he died, Randy told Ozzy and Sharon that he would be leaving the band to pursue a masters degree in classical music. He agreed to stay longer than he wanted to help them fulfill an album obligation of live Black Sabbath songs to Don Arden. Randy was not happy about playing that concert and recording the album, and it created a rift. Ozzy and Sharon unfortunately have a reputation, especially in the earlier Ozzy solo days, of using musicians, breaking promises, not paying them, and being ....... well ...... pirates. When Ozzy started his solo career, the financials were in shambles, and he still owed Don Arden money / albums / whatever. So, ya do what you gotta do. But when the money is coming in and the business side is stable, then take care of the people that took care of you. Unfortunately, the chaos, drama, antics, and selfish business decisions have, at times, overshadowed the fact that this is some of the best music to come out of the 80s. Ozzy is an icon, as are many of the musicians that played with him. We went to an Alice In Chains concert last year. Zakk Wylde joined them on stage for the song Would. Dude got a huge response and almost everybody stood up. Why? Because he played with Ozzy.
Most of his songs have a positive message. That’s why as a teen I did not trust anyone who said he worships the Devil. There were always Church groups outside protesting against the evils of an Ozzy concert. . It’s a much safer place for a young boy than being alone with a priest. Start with any song on the first 2 albums and we will watch. Then some of the following… - Fire in the Sky - Bark at the Moon - Moma I’m Coming Home - Shot in the Dark - Perry Mason - The Ultimate Sin - Close my eyes Forever - duet 🤘🇨🇦🤘
Ozzy has several great songs as a solo artist. Here's a few Ozzy songs I would like to see you react to, Perry Mason, Over the Moutain, No More Tears, Flying High Again, Bark at the Moon, Gets Me Through, Mr. Crawley, The Ultimate Sin, I Don't Kow.
A few months ago I found an old video of some school kids playing Crazy Train live and it was awesome; the best part was a couple years later they got to play it live for Ozzy and meet him afterwards. Also please check out the live concert in Russia from, I think 1996, of Metallica playing Enter Sandman. It is tied for the 5th largest rock concerts in history.
Awesome reaction guys! Randy only did 2 albums with Oz before his death, but they are staples in the metal community. Randy will always be one of the best ever!!! Many don't remember that before Quiet Riot made it, Randy was their guitar player before joining Ozzy. Try the song Over The Mountain, or Flying High Again. 🍻🤟👏
Bob Daisley is the bassist and lyricist for most songs on Ozzy first 2 albums.. Ozzy and Sharon Screwed Bob and Lee Kerslake (drummer) over.. They eventually won in court.
Had the honour to meet Lee Kerslake in 2019 at my mates birthday gig. Got to witness him play live even as he battled Prostate Cancer. He unfortunately passed away in 2020 but during his illness he wrote to Ozzy and recieved his platinum plaques for Diary of A Madman and Blizzard of Oz. But he had another band called Uriah Heep where you can hear his Drummer fingerprints.
Love Ozzy! Seen him 22 times including 4 times with Black Sabbath. Got to meet and work with him once. You really wanna have an awesome “Diary of a Madman.” Randy Rhodes kills it on guitar!

Then some
of the following…
- Fire in the Sky
- Bark at the Moon
- Moma I’m Coming Home
- Shot in the Dark
- Perry Mason
- The Ultimate Sin
- Close my eyes Forever - duet

Sophomore year of high school....what a wonderful time to be alive! ❤
About time you guys listened to Ozzy! Mr. Crowley, Over the Mountain, Flying High Again, and Diary of a Madman are must listens!
I have heard this song a million times but never listened to the words. Really cool.
The lyrics to this song are really good.
Over the Mountain!! Total Banger!!
The vibe of this MUST HEAR classic is so loved/valued that people have made 6-12 hour loop recordings of it..Black Sabbath "Planet Caravan" 🚀🌜🪐☀️
More Ozzy reactions please! “No More Tears”, “Bark at the Moon”, Centre of Eternity”…
Center of Eternity! Awesome song. 🎸
Ozzy bit the head off a bat (a winged bat, not a baseball bat) back in the day in concert!!! Crazeee stuff!!!
Ozzy has several great songs as a solo artist. Here's a few Ozzy songs I would like to see you react to, Perry Mason, Over the Moutain, No More Tears, Flying High Again, Bark at the Moon, Gets Me Through, Mr. Crawley, The Ultimate Sin, I Don't Kow.
she looking at him when he said " I had no idea this was Ozzy" as she then hits her "Gotta lose this balding dude" today expression
She got my respect bc not alot of people knew about let's go
Such a banger as Phil would say 😂..love the lyrics in this one...Dreamer is great too. Great reaction and Peace out ✌️ ☮️ 🙏
Awesome reaction guys! 🍻🤟👏
The masterful Randy Rhoades!!
The Blue Man Group doing this song is super special too.
Also the Randy Rhoads Tragedy
@@darrylreformina1438 yeah very true
@@darrylreformina1438What a guitarist.Tragic death.
They both seem(ed) like decent guys. Ironically, this sounds like a remix w/o either of them.
Shot In the Dark, Bark at the Moon, Mr. Tinkertrain or just a few of the other songs you need to listen to by Ozzy
Love Ozzy! Seen him 22 times including 4 times with Black Sabbath. Got to meet and work with him once. You really wanna have an awesome “Diary of a Madman.” Randy Rhodes kills it on guitar!
Yes! This whole album is a must have in your collection. An unknown guitarist named Randy Rhoads was stolen away from Quiet Riot by Ozzy and became a LEGEND! Check out a video simply titled: Randy Rhoads Solos. RIP Randy Rhoads.
I recommend "Bark at the Moon" and "Shot in the Dark".
Sam, when Let's Go came out I immediately knew where the intro came from. Good ear girl!
