There is a lot of dark truth about being a UA-camr that has not been shared. I have been a UA-camr since the age of 16 years old and now I am 27. I have seen the goo, the bad and the dark side. From touring, to UA-camr / Celebrity parties to filming alone in your bedroom, I have done it all and I have a lot of insight.
This video is for those that are looking to be a creator, and for the creators that have been in it for as long as me and don't feel seen.

I've watched you for almost your entire time online. I've usually found you intriguing. But, this video gave me the more central notion: Joey, you're a truth teller. Man, you actually inspired me to start my channel, even if I'm years too late. I would want to become a creator where I make the content I enjoy and that I could be more authentic and true to self, not trying to be someone else to pleasure others. I will still be here even if you're 50 😎

I'm 18 and being a UA-camr is something I've always wanted to be
But the niche never remained constant, eventually it felt as if I'm having these "need to create" just for the sake of validation and for people to see me
And you just made me realize the reason why I honestly what to do it - to create and community and make other's feel loved
I've always cycled through a bunch of niche's
From wanting to make a generic vlog and gaming
But nothing ever stayed
But something which has been there since the day one but just slightly different everytime I cycle through
Is to spread positivity and build a like minded community
Evolving from having highly ambitious dreams of being Mr beast and helping everyone or making people's day
But what these lacked for me was - It was more materialistic and less of the message
[Not taking shots here , but that's just how I felt ]
As of now , I feel like I finally have this niche which could finally help me realize my need to create along with my new found interest for filmmaking and document my life
Can I make content and collab with you? I live in California but my family is all in Honolulu.

We enter any industry fresh and malleable, we clear the fog for ourselves making a path or a small area under our feet and around us to try to see the small picture of the much bigger one. And we slowly explore little parts of this map… navigating to scary parts, but then coming back to the first landing we made if it wasn’t comfortable for us wherever we were headed. That path looks eventually like a web, like a little spider walking our threads that builds everything in connection with each other, and the strongest of webs are the ones with most interconnectivity. And you Joey made that web circling around and always making more connections through online interactions… but remember though most webs have a you in the middle, you always come back to the centre where the web in this map is strongest … you stayed you :) and you made that your core of your web, and you made that social responsibility yours, you stood up to say you want to make people’s lives better because you saw you had the power to do so as an influencer - making other people feel loved, connected, part of your web. You didn’t venture into other places to start making webs somewhere else - you came back :) and I’m happy to see you do that so authentically.
In case y’all didn’t notice it was a spiderman reference cuz you know what everyone says joey looks like :P stay you Joey, I will stay me … keep making genuine videos so we know we can stay ourselves in this f*cked up world impervious to bad things… ☺️🤗

I started watching you because I thought you were andrew garfield from spider man 😂. Then I figgured out you are different people. And then I started to watch more video's. And you kept coming up on my youtube . I can not image starting a public channel at 16. You really seem like a nice guy and I wish you the best life.
