These could involve challenges that happen when trying to grow on youtube. Discussing some of my experiences with growing on youtube, I also talk about some youtube tips that a new youtuber can use when starting a new channel. When I started my UA-cam journey, my videos hardly passed 500 views mark. It was frustrating and I almost gave up. It was when my friend told me about using some boosting tools (I prefer using a bit of Famester), that gave my channel the traction it desperately needed. After that, I saw an explosive growth. Man, who could have said that a small boost of real views can make your channel blow up!

As someone who is starting recently, I agree with you. My problem is the fact that UA-cam counts you viewing your own video as views. I could look at my video four times, and it counts that is individual views. For me, I think it’s dumb since it feels like pity views that obscure the real info unless I check analytics.

My biggest "problem" is the sudden huge drop in views. It was going pretty well, with about 500 daily views, and then it dropped to basically 0 in one day. I don't mind the grind, I actually kind of like it, but this is just weird. So for everyone reading this: be prepared for ups and downs. Just keep going, you got this!

I started filming my daily vlogs from last October, I have ZERO experience in filming and editing, for first couple videos averagely went over 2k, made me feel maybe it is not that hard?😮 But the reality hit me hard soon, no more views over 500, every time very limited views, my views got so little so function like “ Channels your viewers watch” or “best time to post your video” became not available anymore since no ENOUGH data.😅
Even though I tried hard to be consistent, but as a silent vlog UA-camr who not even show her face, things seemed desperate.
And then one day I saw someone in the same niche, his video is nice, clear, stylish. While mine may lack the storyline, not enough quality of editing, not clear enough close shot of food etc, I made my decision to learn difficult editing tool, and how to take nice videos. It was hard, especially when you need more time to invest in learning, while posting videos and also have a full time job. But my recent videos, I would not say they are the best, but they are much better than my past series, numbers of new subs and views tell. Yes compared to big UA-camrs, they are not viral enough but totally fine.
But I am enjoying the journey, your video showed up in my screen which means it is a good start!

Besides the struggles that you mentioned, I'd also add how good it feels to receive those first comments on your vids. Even if it's just a couple of them, knowing that there's people who relate to and appreciate what you're saying is so encouraging and enough of a reason to not want to give up, despite the challenges.

It's kind of funny that we have the same 10 videos, and all of what you've said in this video is mostly the same as I'll be talking about in my first VLOG episode that I'm currently working on, where I recap all the highs and lows of my first 10 videos.
This is UA-cam raw. You do it for passion, and as long as you stick with it, the results will come.
Sometimes, I want to send it all to space, but when I see some final product done and am able to say, "I did this!" Man... that's the best feeling, even if it has only one like.
And don't worry about the gear. I've been gathering a few of them as time goes by, even before I decided to start. But in the end, it is creativity that will get you the end result you want.

With so many big channels already out there, it's tough to stand out. You really need to do your research and strategize to catch the algorithm's attention.
I’m a small-time Travel Content Creator in the Philippines, and it’s definitely not easy. I handle everything myself, from traveling as a solo traveler to writing scripts, editing videos, and creating thumbnails. There are times when you feel shy and lose confidence. So far, I have just over 500 subscribers, and it’s truly a challenge. But we won't give up because this is what makes me happy. Stay strong, keep researching, and always keep learning new things. ❤

I can relate COMPLETELY!! I’ve been creating content on UA-cam for almost 4 years now and am just starting to see growth in subscribers.
the best advice I would give to anyone starting is just to keep throwing spaghetti at the wall! please watch as many UA-cam growth videos as you can, don’t ignore your analytics, and just don’t get discouraged if your videos don’t go far. These are things I didn’t do for a very long time but once I started doing them my views started to pick up!! If you love making content please don’t let numbers get you down!!❤❤

Working hard on the video, all the editing, creating the thumbnail etc and then have less than 100 views. It's almost as if people don't want to see authentic, valuable content. Creating content for YT is a multi-faceted discipline. It is a looooong road for sure--for most of us. I remember getting so excited about getting 12 views. I ran around the house screaming at my family "I got 12 views!" It felt amazing. Then the videos that followed slowly grew into 20 views then 50 views... I have been on now for 2 years and just got monetized. It can be so discouraging at times but the one thing that keeps me going is knowing that I can't stop because I love it so much. It has become a lifestyle and passion. I would make the videos anyway whether monetized or not. I wont really make any money from my channel because I can't do sponsorships since my channel is for background videos and I don't talk. That's alright though. I wish everyone on here success but most of all, a peaceful pleasant UA-cam journey. I love this platform. It is the first time in my life I have a space to share my creativity. I believe that perseverance will pay off in the end. Creating something like this is an amazing feeling. Press on!

100% relate. Often, I also saw videos with less effort than mine but they got incredible amount of views and this ofc demotivated me.
In the end, when we make videos for the sake of views, we will mostly get disappointed. Therefore, I decided to redefine the goal of my channel from aiming views to making portofolio. I know it sounds lame but I will do whatever it takes to eliminate every excuse that pops up in my mind to procastinate and feel demotivated.
Btw, congrats. Now you begin seeing the result of your effort 🎉
