This was really deep. You should never “give up” in life. There will probably be something that you’ll miss out on later in life. My great-grandma wanted to give up, but she didn’t. And guess what? She got to live long enough to see my birth. That’s only one example why you shouldn’t give up in life.

I was just applying for the best highschools in the state and it felt like my life was fleeting and that I didn't know what I was doing. I'm gonna be honest I cried during this. I just felt so amazed and so idk how to describe it man. I'm still in the age of "figuring things out", you know? I got a scholarship to my number 1 college, but it didn't feel as good as I thought it would. My future is right in front of me. ADULTHOOD is right in front of me and wow.

And its funny because I always viewed that with the perspective of preparing for the worst. Assuming nothing, and trusting no one. Not knowing what tomorrow will bring brought me terror, but it can also bring hope.

I'm glad I was recommended this video. This reminds me a lot of myself and my start to UA-cam and content creation. Still trying to find what sticks for me, but this really spoke to me. I'm glad I'm not the only one and I'm glad to see someone so similar to me succeed.

Woah. It's harder than it seems to actually realise that "big" youtubers start out with 0 subs, a lot of self doubt and anxiety. I've looked up to you for a long time, and I just this summer started my own animation storytime channel. It's a bummer when you work for hours and only get like 3 views or so every second day, but this video helped me feel more optimistic about it. You're awesome. Keep doing you.

This video is honestly really motivating. I've been animating for almost a year now and some had failed collabs where people just stopped responding and it just kind of destroyed my motivation and sometimes I just wanted to quit but I just hearing your journey really makes me wanna keep going so thank you for making this.

I think that the only way to gauge how good TimTom's videos are is by simply seeing the sheer number of other awesome animators (Illymation, Emirichu, ETC) that commented words of affirmation on his videos! A+ content!

Then again this is subjective but I feel like there’s no diversity from creator to creator with few exceptions.
When they are the same as someone else, inspiration sure yeah, but when you don’t stand out from all the others, you’re generic and not special. Especially with all the same personalities. Why I should I spend my time watching you when I can watch someone else with the exact same content?
I just hope to make themselves more than another James or Jaiden. Be... unique as they say.

Honestly I’ve been wanting to give up for a long time lately, I’ve been drawing since I could write but lately I’ve just been thinking I’m not good enough, I’m horrible, useless, a waste, when I clicked on this video I thought it would just be a normal one but it inspired me to keep drawing again! It made me happy, thank to you Tom this is my first time drawing/ being happy for myself in the last 7 months! Seriously, thank you.
All I can say is keep trying. Maybe a horrible example, but Ed sheeran played gigs on the streets for 6 years before he was noticed. There are clips around of him playing on the streets and getting trash talked about. People throwing stuff, ignoring, boo' ing; but look at him now. Just that story and stories like that is what keeps me going as a youtuber. Have fun, enjoy, make sure youre stable n happy and don't let anyone drag you down for what you like to do. You're you. You have one life, Rock it.

Tim….your words are so truthful. The only problem with that is, It becomes so difficult to try and be one of you guys. And by you guys, I mean. Be noticed on the Internet. There’s alot of things that I want to do on this Platform. I want to be able to show people how Entertaining that I can be. I want to make people laugh, Be supported, and just share all the love for anyone that share the same love as they gave me….But it’s so…so…hard…whenever someone else reaches a Certain Goal On UA-cam, I’m happy for them. Whenever someone gets a UA-cam Plaque, I’m happy for them. Whenever someone gets a Community Tab, I’m happy for them….The problem with me is this….I never ever see any progress….My Channel is close to 1K, but that was only because I was motivated. But no Matter how hard I I’ve worked, no Matter how Hard I’ve tried, and no matter how Positive I was, making video after video. I wasn’t gifted to be a UA-camr like you or any other UA-camr…Everyday I struggle with this train of thought…and it made me wonder….Will this Channel of mine ever be noticed…???

Your story sounds just like mine. Computer kid, making video projects in groups, but by myself, moving away from home, moving back home, hitting rock bottom, and then back to making videos. I hope I can make it as a UA-camr someday.

I really relate to this video. In High School, I was known to be the computer guy and the video guy too. I created this UA-cam channel and put a ton of work into animations and skits which never picked up traffic. Then I collabed with some UA-camrs and sure enough, I watched my sub count increase to reach 1,000 with my family. This video is just super inspirational for me because it does feel like the algorithm will never benefit you. Random strokes of good luck are hard to come upon but this video helps me keep moving toward that goal. Thanks Tim :)
