My research led me to the NGK iridium plug to avoid doing 16 plugs anytime soon.

Before you take out the coils and plugs, vacuum the area inside the wells, around the coil tips and plugs. 1/2 inch flex tubing taped to the vacuum hose end works good. Maybe need to scrape off some gunk and vacuum again. There could be debris around the plugs that falls in the hole if you just take them out. Like rodent excrement or foliage for example. I get a strong light and mirror and check all the wells first. Even if nothing falls in the hole it could still block the coil tube from completely covering the plugs. Don't force anything. Hope that helps!

Yep, I do this on every plug, but I often use my long reach compressed air wand. I want nothing dropping into the cylinder.

All my boots ripped inside the wells...was a pain in the ass on some. Last plug of the night ( luckily the easiest to get to, rear bottom passenger side) broke left the threads in the hole..but got it out with an extractor. Cost like $1000 bucks in parts. Motorcraft plugs and wires..got the coilpacks from autozone. Cause it ripped when i took it out. Was just gonna do plugs and wires first cause of the cost. Then needed them asap!

And just like that it’s done! “Just like what….” You’ll have to find out on your own because it’s not in the video

I probably didn’t film it. But they were extremely straight forward

But what about the “special procedures” that the shop manual calls out for or “severe engine damage can occur!” 😂😂😂

@@ridingwithkev5560 just started my 17 6.2 tune up… because of cyl 8 misfire. Started on cyl 5 (the easiest one) and it took me 1.5 hrs, because of the fn corrosion i found. Well I ordered all new OE coils and wires. 41K on the clock and a basic tune up cost me $1K! FML. Im fn sendin it tho!

Great job Kevin. So I know you're probably gonna get asked this question. Are you still driving? Just curious. Still a great video I enjoyed it.

I am working the process so it will be a few months, but I will be driving something.
That's why I am filming these videos. I know they won't pertain to my normal audience but hey if someone gets something out of it I have to do the work anyway lol.
