    Those IMRC are a pain in my ass. I keep getting the code even when I work on it

    I have this problem. I did all I could to fix this issue, it went away and now I have an engine check light again and its the IMRC again. I have the 2015 ford F-150 8 cylinder 5.0 cayote. If you delete the IMRC, what tune kit can I use?

    Do you have a part number please for that lock-out device you speak of? 2015, F-150, 5.0. Mine must be locked open because there is absolutely no loss of engine power. I'd like to get that engine light off though so that I can use my remote start. Thanks so much for your help! Most appreciated! John

      @@johnlewy755 here is a link my friend. However the engine light and fact you feel they are locked open tells me you might just need our IMRC lockout tune.

    Does this bypass the cam phasers delete for the 07 mustang gt's also?

      @@BrianOsley-lj8ed so that’s slight different. The cam phasers have a lock out option or a limiter option. I can custom tune for either if/when you do it.

    Hi How are you , hope all is well ,I have a quick question. Can I just use the lockout tabs so they stay open an modify the rod that it’s connected to and reconnect all the wiring harnesses from the back of the manifold that way I don’t throw a code I don’t want it delete it at this moment Iam not ready for boss intake or a tune to delete them yet .. Thanks …

    Mine broke down, both sides are stuck open and i think its leaking vacuum, so I will replace them, the thing is i dont want to modify a lot of the car, what could be a direct replacement for that? im a little bit worried to get the same manifold since a lot of people says it fails kinda often

    Man can you help me out? I am getting a p0300 and p0308 code every 2-3 days or more i drive 60 miles almost every day, i do not feel any nissfires or anytbinf i changed coils plugs but keep getting the code, shouldi. Change the manifold

    Honestly it would help tremendously if you could help me know what to plug or route,.. on those leftover Vacuum hose ports after installing IMRC Lockouts. Cannot find one video. Thanks.

    Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people changing the IM to the ‘18 (on 15-17 cars). Are the ‘18 IMRC’s made better or fail less? I think if I had an IMRC problem, might be time to supercharge this beast.

      I agree, a lot of 18 mani swaps going on for sure. I like your style. Just throw a positive displacement blower on at this point and be done with it lol.

    It should be a factory recall and they should be removed from the engine and replaced with the boss 350 intake and reprogramed by Ford

    Mine is code p2006, I guess is closed.. how important or urgent is it to replace it. I have been seen a lot entire intake manifold replacement…
    (For a 2017 F150)

      How many miles do you currently have? I’ve replaced mine personally only to have the problem happen again fairly early then just deleted them. I can tune you if/when you lock them out

    I put boss manifold on my 13 gt automatic and having all kinds of issues right now.people say you have to tee vaccumm lines i cant find one video some say you dont have to tee in a vaccum any advise?

      Who’s tuning it Bobby? The only things I’ve seen on the boss is people missing an open vac port. However the tune is pretty involved as well so could be either issues. I’d be happy to help on the tune.

    Can I plug my “heater outlet hose” that I broke off while taking off the intake😢 and still drive by Mustang until I get the New hose????

    The IMRCs give you the benefit of having a short and long runner manifold in one combo. The reason for that is that the flats will open making the intake manifold runner longer which is better for low end torque and fuel economy. It does improve drivability significantly. I’ve worked at a dealer for 3 years I’ve only seen one fail. And it was on gen3 car and it was the vacuum actuator that failed it had a small leak. Still locking them out you’re just locking them in one position so you just remove the benefits this manifold offers.

      @@Sleeper_Solutions I custom tune these and install aftermarket mods such as supercharges, turbos etc. I’ve seen 9 of them fail with miles from as low as 20k to 115k. The power gains through the curve and from a dig locking them out is unmatched.

    Currently dealing with code p2005 should I just keep the 17 manifold and do the delete and tune? Or should I go with the 18 Manifold and tune? Trying to figure out what way to go. I don’t plan on adding any boost.

    Please someone answer me this. I have a 2006 F150 with intake manifold runner stuck closed bank 1. If I lock out the runners and disconnect the arms and just connect the motor will this trick the computer and be able to work properly?

      @@CFlo93 it won’t unfortunately. The ECU uses a unique strategy coinciding with airflow, load, rpm to move through the different VCT schedules related to the IMRC mapped points. You either have to leave them in functional or delete them and tune for it

      @@CFlo93 you might find it running ok but it won’t be in the right mapped points at the right times. Just ran into this on the Dyno with mine. Lost 40 wheel due to it wanting to use fuel economy mode at wot

      @@mustangdoctor3834 well I tried it because it’s an old dirt cheap f150 and its been working fine for me so far. I can tell a little difference in the amount of power from a stand still. I would assume a newer car just has a lot more brains and sensor functions in the ecm than mine does.

    Does the boss 302 intake manifold fit with a stock 80mm throttle body or did you need to get a bigger size?

      There’s an adaptor plate for it. Def stay stock or go with the GT350 TB! I can tune you for both if you need help.

    How do they give you low end??? By starving the engine of air and making it run harder???

      No, at low rpm there's less air needed, and if you have a long intake runner you're able to give the air more momentum which makes your engine more efficient. However at high engine rpm you need more air, so these flaps open which reduces the "velocity pressure" losses associated with the long runners

    Всех приветствую! У меня мустанг 5.0 2017 год, пробег 51000 миль, ошибки Р2006 - Р0300, скорей всего что то связано с вихревыми заслонками, так как датчики IMRC исправны и вакумный привод заслонок тоже в порядке!

    I have a 2017 Manual with 9,300 miles on her. Love the manual to death makes me feel like a kid again. But anyway she's Been garage kept and only taken out on weekends.. I am starting to want Mods.. Short throw, Tune with Intake or super charger, Don't know if I want to spend that kind of money yet on an SC... I hear with the right intake and Tuner 500 wheel is attainable without Induction?? Oh and I hear people saying Boss 302 or GT 350 Intake.. But IDK...

      That’s a sick ride! I like your thought process too. Boost is expensive but you can add 200 wheel with boost very easily. Then to add another 150 all you need to do is pulley down. We’re making 822 wheel on my 17 Gt350 with just a Vortech. However you can make some serious power as is or with a few mods. We’re a JLT dealer so I recommend that intake and custom tune and you’ll be flying! If you want to go FBO throw in a GT350 mani or even a 18+ (both make about the same power and a GT350 throttle body. We can dial it right up for you. The coyotes have a ton of torque management and clutch protection that by just removing it will shave a half a second off your 1/4 mile.

    The Boss manifold is not better. There have been tests done that found the only thing better than the 18+ manifold is a ported 18+ manifold. Everything else actually flows less.

    What tune supports imrc delete? I’ve got BAMA Rev-X and their shit. They don’t have support to removing this. I need a new tuner 🥲
