I’m currently doing both! I work at a plastic surgeon office and a high end spa. I lean towards general esthetician. The medical atmosphere isn’t me but I do enjoy it. I love the spa atmosphere
So cool!!! Do you feel the plastic surgeon office is face paced? And i agree i actually love both. I want to integrate both the relaxing wellness homey feel with the advanced medical treatments. 🤎
@@ShavonMichelle yes i love the chill vibes of the spa life and the plastic surgeon is more fast pace and not as zen! But I’m so thankful that I have both because sometimes my clients need advanced treatments like micro needling and laser’s. Next year I will be be starting my solo esthetician business and keeping the plastic surgeon job🤗the dream is to integrate both and give the client the relaxing atmosphere too! 🙌 love your videos ❤️
Ive been strongly considering the medical esthi route (although I still need to get my basic license first 😅😂) I can’t wait until I move on to the next level bc I’m kinda over school lmao if I didn’t like my teacher so much I probably would’ve opted for the full time schedule just to get it over with. I’m trying my best to stay upbeat and optimistic about it. I like my classmates and it’s usually fun for the most part, I just wanna start the real work 😭😭

So what school you recommended beside aveda
I am a boy mom as well. I am also a realtor and I am thinking about making the career change to become a license esthetician. I just was curious as to do you still practice real estate? Do you have any advise for someone thinking about transitioning ?
It can be a bit much but you just have to put yourself out there and do it, transition and have a plan! Real estate should always be a hustle because its great money so dont drop it ever however my only interest in it now is being an investor and not on the realtor side. (More flexible, more money)
So if I start out in a med spa and am trained in those medical atmospheres and I able to go solo and still do the more upscale facials and skincare services?
Yes correct!! Depending on your state🤎
My only option is Aveda lol

LOVE this breakdown!!! Going to esthecian school in Jan and now thinking about either medical or nurse aesthetician. I think you can do nurse with an associates in nursing.
