- This exercise tutorial will guide you through a series of exercises that focus on strengthening the core but also strengthen and tone arms, chest, glutes, and legs using core sliders.
Core sliders are a simple, convenient, and effective way to build core strength. This exercise prop is user-friendly and great for all-levels. Core sliders strengthen all parts of the abdominal region and can also increase the intensity of your workout.
For this tutorial, we are using the Slider X Gliding Discs from Epitomie Fitness.

@@bobsacramento7043 Well my comment was two years ago but the fact was that my family had arranged a surprise birthday party for me that day. Plus I train hard at the gym 5-6 days a week so have a rest day. Btw the sliders were crap.

Hello, I've been trying to use the sliders for abs workout. I have been using a mirror to make sure my back is flat and I still don't feel like I'm working my abs at all. I just feel my shoulders and arms working and they eventually give out. What am I doing wrong?

They do have two sides, so depending on how grippy the gym floors are, they could work but again I'm not entirely sure. For legs I used to do that with 4 in-line skates, it's a killing exercise! Wheels offer NO friction so you have to put more strength as you'll feel like sliding on ice! My abs were on fire !

No worries I will take it easy with my RA I can´t run or jump, but I really love Thai-Chi or Pilates and this looked really nice and dynamic workout. It takes three weeks to change ones routine and I am autistic so it´ll really hard 3 weeks. I wish for round butt and firm core.

@yogiapproved In the first exercise lowering into a chaturanga pushup, I get a sharp pain in the front of my right shoulder joint 1) when I push my left arm forward and put more weight on the supporting right arm, and 2) continuation of that pain when I push up again. What am I doing wrong? I don't normally notice this when I do 2-armed chaturangas in my daily mysore practice.
Really hard to say, Stefanie, but maybe for the time being just feel free to cut out chaturanga altogether from your practice - better than risking an injury! Good luck, and namaste

May I suggest some weighted squatting exercises and deadlifts?
These plank / core exercises are great but I think squats and deadlifts will benefit your body type much more than planks.
Start with whatever super light weight you are comfortable with and increase gradually overtime. 👍❤
