    1) redo your room, make it a safe space where you can be happy (I suggest getting rid of old clothes and things that may carry bad memories or just clutter your space.)
    2) drink lots of water. You might not take this seriously but dehydration really effects your state of mind. You could also go for some tea which can help you relax.
    3) look at nature. Sit outside and listen to the birds, watch the sunset. The beauty of nature can relax you
    4) doodle or bujo. You don't have to be a good artist or creative or organized. Just get a book where you can draw, write notes or poems or anything you might want. It can be a place for you to plan, sometimes a little bit of structure is all you need to avoid getting overwhelmed. Don't worry about doing every single thing you planned, just take it one thing at a time and don't take it super serious
    5) get in touch with your inner child. this can be super therapeutic and bring up good memories, watch an old movie from your childhood. Sometimes we need to go back before we go forward.
    6) if there's something bothering you that you can't move on from, make it a point to apologize for it
    7) help people. This can make you feel powerful and strong and good inside. You don't have to do much just do it with a smile, selflessly
Thank you! I love this channel

@@purplelover0515 Develop your mental muscles. To feel better reduce negative thoughts with a simple practice. Your breath and mind [brain] are closely related causing stress-anxiety. For a better life sit on a chair, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations. Change happens from within by itself. Day or night, when taking a walk, at office, sitting in a park, when reading, before sleep etc sit or lie down and observe your breath. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Reduce negative social media. Avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes. Senior Counsellor.

I just wanted to say I am thankful for your channel.
I have parents who are controlling, never apologise, never observe personal space, unempathetic and regularly claim they are perfect beings and infallible. They are super religious and state that they have risen to sainthood.
It wreaked havoc on my mental health as I was growing up and broke my self esteem which took me a year and a half living away from them abroad in another country to partially repair. But these mental scars never go away, not especially when the psychological injury was sustained repeatedly throughout my childhood.
But I reckon because of the stuff I went through, I have begun to understand what kindness truly is and to develop my empathy side. In addition I realise the importance of emotional awakening, emotional maturity and development of my emotional intelligence. Furthermore I have developed the insight to not let my past affect my future.
Everytime I feel down, I know I have your videos to watch. They have been inspirational and let me know I'm not alone.

For a long while, as I couldn't help myself out of the situation I was in, I decided to help others out of theirs; it helped them and made me feel better. Now I've got to help myself as the danger is almost past, and it's hard. I'm taking things to charity shops but there are a lot of bad memories with them and nightmares almost every night causing me to get up very early, say 4, and play games on my mobile to calm down; the light in the room also lets me know that the bad things won't come back. It will get better but at the moment it's a hard mountain to climb.

Hmmm. Everything doesn't have to be crammed into one video (maybe make a 2 or 3 parter???) but maybe you could touch on what is healthy crying, how to hold back tears when necessary, how to deal with needing to cry although you don't have the space or time (ie. like if you have a roomate or parent around or in the middle of work) and maybe just how to "just be sad," without feeling ashamed to be down sometimes.
I think anybody, regardless of age or gender, should properly learn how to cry...it's not always ok to entirely shove bad feelings aside, without addressing them somehow....

These tips are interesting, but for some you need the energy to do them.
I'm often very very low on energy, which makes it very difficult to even think about having the energy to go to a store or change my room... I know it's usually when i'm overstimulated by work (like today) and my energy will come back (always very slowly, but i still heal...). So its also okay to just lay in bed and wait for the energy to come... Next to movies, watching old pictures/ eating or sniffing favorite food from my childhood also helps...

I really feel sorry for you...
But some things aren't so bad and scary as it seems. For example, I have a plant which withered about a month ago. I thought it had died, but continued to water it. And this week I saw on it a little green leaf. It survived, although I had lost hope in it.
All I can draw is just a combination of squares, triangles and circles, but my pictures don't have to be perfect. You draw not for someone else, but for yourself (and not only draw, but also live). If someone doesn't like it - well, it's their problem, nobody forced them to watch your paintings. It's impossible to do something that literally everyone likes.
Fear always limits us. And usually, when you try to face it, you get some sort of reward (for instance, a plant can indeed make your room look more alive). I understand, it's hard to fight and face it, but it's usually worth it, I'm sure.

I was always seeking external validation because I had a fked up childhood. Then I found about childhood traumas and abuse and everything clicked and made sense as to why I act the way I do now. I was the people pleaser... never again. Why should I care for people that barely cared for me in the first place y’know? Sorry I vented a lil bit lol but it’s really hard trying to live rn
