This great show is from 1971, complete with commercials. Vonnie King Burch and her daughter Tina Cole are, to me, the standouts in this show. Lots of talent in the King family! And whoever did the live sound recording parts was an expert. In the wind, no less. Thanks for posting this show.
To videotape this stuff 'on location' was not as easy as it looked in this production. The 'fake-singing to playback' is pulled off exceptionally well in this show. Can't imagine how long those guys had to stay on those ropes on that 'ship' to do that performance a few times... "Uncle" Alvino Rey is gettin' a bit ragged here and noted his Alvino Rey Orchestra is not credited so these are studio 'cats' doing the impressive arrangements.
He was sick in December, but he's doing better. Not awful...not great. He's hanging in there. Thank you for asking. We really appreciate all the love and support.
A nice sweet wholesome family show from the City :)
