Pro-tip for those of you who have scavenging stations, use this mod and the recycler machine with the workshop suck and spit machines. Scavengers have a limit to the amount of things they can add to the workshop but if you break them down and put them back, they'll work infinitely.
This looks like an awesome mod! I spent hours building a massive factory that separates components and diverts them individually into each manufacturing machine as needed, but the only problem is that you need to have the items broken down into the individual components first to put into the initial hopper. This mod is going to make the whole process infinitely more efficient, plus remove a bunch of legwork going back and forth from the workshop. Kudos to Kentington!
guys, you dont need to put the component extractor near the workbench, you can place a weapons workbench or any other workbench down and it will have the same inventory of the regular workbench
I only really see the Contraptions DLC as an aesthetics mod - I'd use the factory items to make a settlement look interesting. This mod means that I can build an infinite loop of items constructing and recycling, which only equates to more interesting aesthetics than static machinery It would be interesting to see some community quest mods that make use of the contraptions though (and wasteland workshop for that matter)
You should be able to build a core drilling machine that digs into the ground and collects resources such as Steel, gold, copper. Then sends it down the assembled line.
i'd like to see a mod for the eyebot to bring the stuff back to the statement then just showing where it is as now weight is a problem in survival mode
WHY was this not in the vanilla dlc? I realized within 5 minutes of playing with it that it didn't do any of the things I needed it to do for it to really be useful. Leave it to the modders, I guess. Mod looks great
tbh none of this really seems needed, since the way the junk works already just adds an extra step, well it is a mod so it's not like it's forced or anything. One thing that would be nice if if it could make so of my modded in weapons and armor so i could outfit my settlers quicker.
I have this mod, and seriously it's awesome I have a chain of auto butchers set up with various cages and turrets that slaughter the caged creatures when they come out on the conveyor belts that load into the auto butcher.
Would be nice if instead of all armor and weapons being open from the start, you could find holotapes with the blueprints on them around the map in different factories and such.
Love the idea of a corpse contraption especially when I get tired off disposing of bodies. I usually scrap what I can and then out with the trash they go.
There is something I've personally wanted to do, ideally not using glitches. I wanted to duplicate my upgraded weapons & armor to distribute in my settlements. I have some pretty sweet upgrades that it would be nice for my settlers; especially ones on defense to have. If there's a way to do it without a glitch in the factories, I haven't learned it yet.
I LOVE This mod! I'm kinda addicted to the Auto butcher since my settlement gets attacked every time I leave. I also make use of the Power armor forge since I created a huge Power armor museum as well. Haven't tried any from the latest update, but I'm feeling thirsty so I'm going to make some nuka cola now :-)
I find the recycler to be extremely useful for sorting components and all that, before it was FAR more trouble than it was worth to scrap all the junk since the workbenches gave all the info you needed on what components you had between all your junk and junk would be scrapped automatically as it was used. Factories however don't draw from supply lines, so keeping track of resources becomes far more important, I find recyclers to be essential for that and ever since then I've actually found myself with far more resources than I normally have, simply because I just enjoy watching the recyclers work so I'm more inclined to just gather up more junk rather than spend all those resources on building stuff. The only resource I find myself constantly hurting for anymore is rubber.
I'm really happy to see this video but speaking of the new contraptions dlc I would really like to see someone make the conduit connectors be able to be ran not only horizontal but vertical as well making it a lot easier to run conduit lines on uneven ground
Any tips on using the "inventory management brain"? I haven't seen it anywhere! Apparently you power it up and it helps group objects properly to reduce FPS issues.
I wish there was a template machine you could connect to the various manufacturers: i.e. place a customized weapon or piece of armor, the option on the terminal shows up to produce copies of that bit of kit, and the machines will make it (at the cost of the base plus what it would take to mod it). I'm guessing it is likely not be possible without some complicated script extenders.
Just a note the component extractor doesn't have to be adjacent to the workshop. And if you filter it with plastic it will break down items to output plastic so those pumpkin's are being dismantled for creating more plastic pumpkins. You will need the object extractor to do this without breaking down the items that you are manufacturing.
yea but now you can turn everything in your workshop into its raw components, so that they are easier to filter out. just dont build junk and you will be fine
I might get this mod once I figure out what sort of factories I want to make, haha. I've mostly just been using the warehouse building parts and the display cases from this dlc, cause I just don't really need to manufacture anything right now.
I think this is going to help with my OCD... I hate having junk in my Workshop, so I think I would just setup the recycler and connet it to the workshop storage. This way I would only have components in my workshop. I wonder if the recycler factors in the perk that improves what components are broken down from weapons and armor.
Channel that'd be stealing wouldn't it? i don't think a game company like bethesda that supports modding of their games would simply steal a mod from someone.
as a modder you sign over all of your creative rights through there licensing agreement, So technically no Bethesda could take whatever modder's have created and do what they please with them, even remove them completely
with the component extractor: lets say I had a hammer, which has wood and steel as it's components, and I only put wood into the C.E. will it still take out the hammer and put both steel and wood on the conveyer line? Or do you lose the steel?
I would extend it a bit further and make it to where I can customize the modifications to the armor and weapons for the builders to build. This way I can mass produce uniforms for my settlers.
I have a problem when I have multiple kinds of factories on the same line and a few of the things I'm trying to build requires the same materials. The materials always go to the first factory in my line and any factory after it doesn't get the same material to build my product.
I'd suggest using a split conveyor with an alternating diverter. That should split up your materials between the machines. You can find them under the conveyor tab and use a terminal to program their timing.
Could you use a Chem table or something instead of the workshop? It is connected to the same inventory so maybe that is a work around. Could someone test it please.
I love your videos, I'm new to this stuff, but when I clicked on the link for ps4 manufacturing extened, Bethesda says url is not found, I also can't find it in the mod search on my ps4. I'm looking to take all my junk and convert it into the bare components. Yes I could if I wanted do this already via non fun way. But I want to learn the manufacturing builds and if a good mod is out there for ps4. Help. What should I use?
yeah man...couple of years late....My issue is, that the recycler tries to recycle base components....like using the normal vacuum and a recycler it only sucks up gears (have a lot of them) funneling into the workshop storage....and I don't know how to fix this....maybe I'm just stupid...is there a way to make an exception for the recycler regarding base components?
Is there any way to connect 2 builder units to a single sorter? In your example, one builder makes pumpkins the other makes lunch boxes. Connecting the two in series or with conveyors feeding them into a sorter? Thanks.
For some reason my conveyor belts don't move anything when I drop something on them, and when the builder produces items it doesn't move them on the conveyor belt. Anyone know how to fix non moving conveyor belts? I have power hooked into them so I know it's not that.
One problem I've had is if my power source is too far away, or if there's too many connection points between. Try putting another generator closer to what you're having issues with.
Mods that use DLC assets always require you to have the DLC because they can't actually package the assets with the mod itself for legal reasons. Instead they use references to point back to the DLC files.
Thanks for the vid but still trying to understand why anyone would want to mass produce anything, to sell for caps? why not just save time and sell your junk? Seems to me the only thing that would be valuable would be a machine that would break junk down to it's base components and the vanilla DLC fails to do that. The other thing is, why would I want to stand there feeding crap into it and wait for it to produce anything? Why not let the settlers do it? You have a scrounger settler, why isn't he/she feeding this thing 24/7 and gaining you new building materials? Bethesda dropped the ball with this idea.
LOL, Umm Ok, I have well over 600 hours into the Game and all it's DLC/Mods and I have a feeling there will be lots more, you needed worry about my fun factor. ;)
Hey, does the vacuum machine connected to your workshop extract junk out of it so you can recycle it.. It you have to manual extract components for each builder... what is the point.... thanks..
can we have a video on how to make an item sorter because i have like 6 builders going into a hopper it would be nice to have the machine just sort them all out for me
about time they made one that extracts raw resources automatically, do they brake guns and armor down also? I'm sitting on a pile of raider gear and low level weapons that I want to get leather and screws from but i'm sick of doing it manually.
I can't choose what power armor type I want, sure I can choose a part of it but I can't make any pieces. Did I do something wrong? Figured it out now I can't choose the pieces. I need a left arm but its trying to make a chest piece I need a left arm not a chest piece.
this mod is great but i can't move much stuff that's about as big as a brahmin, found some wild ones and i cant move them over to my production line, i hacked and wacked, and smacked the corpses with a machete but i can't break a piece off, is their a mod for fallout 4 that allows us to drag bigger corpses?
Awwww nooooo I’m too late to the party. Unfortunately it looks like this mod no longer exists on the PS4 damn. It’s such a good mod and includes machines that I’d love to use. The recycler is something I’d love because I’d prefer having my items broken down before going to be sorted and crafted.
Two problems, considering the newest update. One, the processors aren't designed to receive big creatures like brahmin. Two, if you kill a robot or animal in the wasteland you have to drag it back if you want to process it. :( So now we need a bigger auto butcher and a cart system so we can collect bodies.
OK the mod ill get at another time, but I do hope that at that time they would add some more things. Like plant -adhesive or some way to get materials form the other worksop dlc (the cages) or just a way

It'll do.. I'd still prefer separate machines for energy ammo and weapons, that you only unlock upon entering the institute, after which point you can build them in settlements.
does anyone know if the extractor extracts from all workshops if you have them linked. like in build mode. also is there a mod where i can place a container or something so that i can auto sell stuff id like to auto sell purified waters from purifiers since purified water doesnt stack after a certain point and its a hassle to travel around and gather all the purified water and sell them. also is there a way to have all the caps from different settlements sent to one settlement making it a lot easier to collect? i would love to be able to auto sell purified waters from all the settlements collecting the caps in the workshop and then send all those caps to the workshop in sanctuary for easy pickup
spels47 no to the purified water auto sell thing. Yes it will drain resources from linked settlements lol. Avoid that all together by crafting any old container like a footlocker or something ( anything you can transfer stuff from your inventory into) and store the required materials into that. Then you could setup different raw material boxes and simply move said box to its respective vacuum. You be more organized and transfer stuff from work bench to the belts
Pro-tip for those of you who have scavenging stations, use this mod and the recycler machine with the workshop suck and spit machines. Scavengers have a limit to the amount of things they can add to the workshop but if you break them down and put them back, they'll work infinitely.
I bet that the White Glove Society wish they could have the auto-butcher.
Hahah

Just the information that I was searching for. Thanks!
Michael in fact you can place any container like a bookcase or foot locker (anything that you can transfer stuff into) and still get the same result
Red Merlin you could, but it would be impractical as supply lines dont fill containers thwy only fill workbenches.
Its refusing to work

That is so awesome. I have been building huge belt system and hated that I had to break everything down and then send it over
I worked in a factory that made alot of different things, metal, plastic, ceramics, so a setup with this mod will be like cake for me!
Only thing missing that I noticed was missing is the Marine armor from Far Harbor. Sure hope it's added!
that armor is supposed to be hard to get, if youre gonna cheese it by "manufacturing" it you might as well just cheat it in with commands

You don't need to hook up the extractor to the workshop physically. It will pull from the workshop inventory no matter where you place it.
I've been building a chop shop. Harvesting corpses has just become a regular occurrence for me. That Soylent Green isn't gonna make itself.
Hi JV
What about the clothing builder? Did that get some love in this mod?
Don't try to put robots into the auto-butcher. I did that, and it gave me bloatfly parts. You need the robot disassembler, included with the same mod.

does anyone know if the extractor extracts from all workshops if you have them linked. like in build mode. also is there a mod where i can place a container or something so that i can auto sell stuff id like to auto sell purified waters from purifiers since purified water doesnt stack after a certain point and its a hassle to travel around and gather all the purified water and sell them. also is there a way to have all the caps from different settlements sent to one settlement making it a lot easier to collect?
i would love to be able to auto sell purified waters from all the settlements collecting the caps in the workshop and then send all those caps to the workshop in sanctuary for easy pickup
spels47 no to the purified water auto sell thing.
