The door wont open anyway.. the way the door is designed to open it makes it virtually impossible for any human to open it with the air pressure outside at that altitude
@@lizsays3324 It wasn't mid flight. The man succeeded in opening the door likely because the plane was flying at a low altitude while preparing to land and there wasn’t much difference in pressure, according to Asiana Airlines officials
Realistically, he wouldn't have been able to open it if they were at altitude anyways. The immense pressure difference between the pressurized cabin and the outside air makes it impossible to open; essentially, the air pressure holds the door shut, making it extremely difficult to open even with significant force.
You putting a lot of trust in other people when you're traveling in general. Even more so in air travel. Why would you begin to violate that trust, Don't be surprised when other people become hostile
Why? Seems like it has been used quite a bit lately in these situations. Perhaps it's a newer add on in the crew's arsenal because most everyone is a psycho a-hole these days. That or it was a Boeing plane, and the duct tape may come in handy.
@sjohnson65456 it just seems like the making of a stewardess hostage situation that could escalate somehow if they manage to get through the pilot's cabin door.
Yes, I am very surprised. In many cases lately, a person who behaves in a way that is deemed dangerous on a plane WAS arrested upon landing. This person NOT being arrested is out of the ordinary. I suspect that the individual exibited signs of servere mental issues. I have family members that have severe mental issues (Schizophrenia), and that are certainly not responsible for their actions if their medication stops working. They have no control. Your implication that a person who is disruptive is not usually arrested in inaccurate. They almost always are arrested and charged. Mental illness IS a valid excuse for inappropriate behavior. These poor tortured people need help, not incarceration. That is not to say that a person who's mental illness poses a threat to society should not be commited to a mental facility until they are deemed safe, thorough medications.
Duct tape works for everything.
No kidding
just ask MacGyver
Absolutely! 😂
I pulled the string and the pilot missed my stop. What else was I supposed to do?
Should of yelled back door 😂😂
@@Drakes_transitOmg that brings me back to my college days. 😂😂😂

Really? Then how did a passenger on a flight over South Korean open a door mid flight earlier this year? Because that did happen.

That reality doesn't provide as scandalous of a story though.
FYI it's impossible to open a plane door at higher altitudes
you do what you need to do to save people's lifes ❤

... you would have thought they would have fixed that door issue by now 👍
Stay safe in the skies everyone.
The door cannot be opened in flight no matter what he did. They duct taped properly by not taping him to a seat which is a safety violation.
Must have been the 200 mile type used for sealing doors.
Good job guys!
I'm really surprised they were allowed to have duct tape on a plane.

Frontier Airlines: Welcome to the club
This is the type of person that needs a calming travel companion to keep him sane as a prerequisite for him flying.
He needs an Rx for Xanax. Why should a grown adult need another adult implemented as a flight babysitter?
I think all airlines need to start requiring people pass a mental health checkup before purchasing boarding tickets!
Ahh Duct tape the Macgyver of all tapes.
Do what you must to keep others safe
Anyone surprised he wasn’t arrested? Just another mental health “victim” 🙄

Yes, they should be arrested and his mental health issues dealt with through the court system.
