There is millions of millions of flights each day and you see like 1 video in a week so out of like 7 million flights a week it’s very rare any of them get any issues
Every time I get on a plane, I’m scared(my parents, silbings, and sometimes my niece and nephew think I’m overly dramatic, I DON’T CARE) ….every time!!!!! I think about 9/11, all the time; and hope there’s a police officer ready to protect and service at 10,000 feet. 🙏🏾
@@animemangafan1987 - The A-hole that did open the door while in flight did so during final approach. The airplane was 2000 feet above the ground at most. There was little to no pressure difference on the door. And, after over 100 skydives and hundreds of hours flying little planes, I can honestly tell you that opening the doors below 18,000 feet MSL is no big deal.
I usually find two of the most imposing looking fellow passengers while waiting on a flight and have a quick conversation about just such a situation, cant hurt to be cautious.
It is NOT possible to open an airplane door when the plane is flying at 30,000 feet due to: 1. Cabin Pressure: At cruising altitude, the pressurized cabin creates a significant pressure difference, with thousands of pounds of force pushing the door outward. Doors are designed to seal against this pressure. 2. Design and Locking Mechanisms: The door locks are controlled by the cockpit crew and are further reinforced by the air pressure differential. In summary, due to physics, engineering, and safety features, it is impossible to open an airplane door at 30,000 feet.
Is anyone studying this phenomenon? This has been happening for decades, and I have always wondered if there is an inner ear or brain problem connected with air pressure or altitude that triggers this irrational behavior in people who are not apparently murderous or suicidal. It is clearly irrational.
It’s a combination of alcohol and inclosed spaces with a couple of hundred other people. Like when locusts swarm. They don’t go crazy until they are so densely populated that they are on top of each other.
@@deanfowlkes Yes, perhaps. But I seem to recall that some of these people are regular flyers and not drinking or on drugs. In their right minds they'd be aware the door should not be opened. So I still wonder if this is a side-effect for some people--of flying at altitude.
This is one of those case where a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity is a strong defense. Doing a mental health evaluation before filing charges is a smart move. Who in their right mind wants to step off a plane at 30,000 feet??
He is an American Airlines employee. There may be a reason his name was not given. Just like the flight attendant’s name was not given. Taking a swing at an employee on a flight ratchets the charges up to a federal offense.
Obviously physics factors into it, but that’s not the point of the story. You can’t just stand back when there’s a mentally unstable person who could still hurt people on the plane that’s 30,000 feet in the air.
Salute to real men who stood up instead of crying and holding their phones.
God bless you brothers. Thank you for your quick thinking and willingness to act. You are my heros. We need more men like you!
I’m glad they were able to contain the guy and prevented others from getting hurt. 🙏🏼
People getting crazier.
It was probably a black person
I know the door cannot be opened but I applaud the men for helping. The person could still have hurt someone far more than he did.
People are loosing their minds.
Every day, a plane on the news!!!! There are no charges for an almost tragedy.
Looks like duct tape & zip ties are going in my carry on.
It is completely impossible to open a door on a plane at 30000 feet - how irresponsible of the press not to point this out.
What a cute old man
You couldn't pay me enough to fly right now. 😮
Another reason why I will not won't and refuse to fly it's becoming to dangerous and to horriffic !!!!
You can’t open the door from the inside because of the pressure

Ronald Reagan closed most mental health facilities. Great idea to save money, right?
Jails and prisons are the new mental health institutions 😏
Sure that’s it, something that happened 30 plus years ago.
It would be impossible to open the door during flight.
Most of the time. One of those assholes already did for real
Not true

@@bobcaygeon975It is true when pressurized at altitude. The doors cannot be opened against nearly 8 pounds per square inch of pressure.
@@animemangafan1987That happened on final just before landing. At that low altitude there is very little cabin pressure differential.
Anyone else just fatigued with flying, the tsa, the scummy passengers.

If you have to have a conversation about it, the conversation is useless or you are just being weird.😂
Fight or flight? Nah we flight on the flight 😂
Thank god for everyone stepping up

So you will then just sit there while he tries and tries?
Actually, flight deck crew do not "control" main cabin door latching mechanisms.
It’s kinda funny one of the heroes said “It was a fight 🥊or flight ✈️ situation.” 2:40

Excellent job guys ,
Lol why does this keep happening. Also it’s physically impossible for the guy to open the door in flight. Why not just let him wear himself out
Because maybe he decides to do something else before he wears out.

Passenger McGuyver always carries duct tape!
The black guy looks like an airplane mechanic. He might have been deadheading with just his tool kit.
Please stop these people. Why would you do this?!
How plant plane incidents are happening these days there was rarley any of these like 2 weeks ago
LUCKILY THERE s NO no way one can open that door in flight.
Good Americans!
Theres something on the wing! Some....thinnnnggg.
Sorry to inform but doors don’t open in the air. Cabin pressure won’t allow it to happen.
No video - surprised.
I don’t understand people who want to off themselves always wanna take people with them. SMH
I bet he was the first off after landing
Wow!😳 Next time I get on a plane I'm going to sleep with ine eye opened.
No charges? Could he have actually opened the door? Doesn’t the pressure make it near impossible.
Yes, nearly impossible to open the doors at high altitude. Very possible to open the doors at low altitude.
I want off this flight " while in the air" Whuutt?😅
Laughs in cabin pressure.
*Making fun of the disruptive passenger.
Wow crazy 😜
2day's flight includes Snacks & Drinks along with In Flight Entertainment..
