She reminds me so much of my grandma who always cooked amazing food for us growing up. My grandma used to cook it completely different but same exact ingredients. I think I will take some of each style and combine them together. I think that will actually get the best result. Thanks for sharing your recipes. Love your channel.

She would would put whole garlic cloves in the butter to allow the butter to get the flavor of the garlic then she would take it off the stove and out in fresh lemon peel allowing it all to infuse over night. and then after 24 hours she would put fresh minced garlic in the clarified butter to have fresh garlic in it too. She would cook the shrimp separately in light butter to allow it to get a slightly crisper and browned outside. Then put it in the garlic butter sauce. Allowing the shrimp to have a different texture. Almost forgot she would use light white wine in her sauce and a little on the shrimp abs light the wine lol hen it was on the shrimp to take a little of the moisture out.
My darling .. you have taught me the real way to cook these wonderful basic Italian dishes.. I thought I was doing them ok .. But no Nona has simply showed us the right way.. Much love 💕 and admiration for you my dear!!! Thank you 🙏

Gina, I truly enjoy your recipes, this one in particular. Easy, quick and flavorful. You bring a comfort to me as I reminisce from my time in Italy and my beloved Nanny (Grandma) here in the United States. My family originates from the Puglia region from a town called Corato. You refresh the drying rivers of memories from my childhood.
I hadn’t made this in a long time so I needed a refresher. My Dad and Grandparents were from Italy. It’s a joy to watch and hear her speak it reminds me of them. Only my grandparents couldn’t speak English this well.
The Grandma I never had. And I'm a pretty good cook. Just ask my wife. She sips red wine at the breakfast bar and watches me do my thing in the kitchen. But there is something about hearing it from an old school perspective that makes the dish so much more delicious. Especially Italian food. I will make this exact dish when I reach my goal of losing 15lbs by the end of July. Thanks Gina.

You bring a comfort to me as I reminisce from my time in Italy and my beloved Nanny (Grandma) here in the United States. My family originates from the Puglia region from a town called Corato. You refresh the drying rivers of memories from my childhood.

I hadn’t made this in a long time so I needed a refresher. My Dad and Grandparents were from Italy. It’s a joy to watch and hear her speak it reminds me of them. Only my grandparents couldn’t speak English this well.

The Grandma I never had. And I'm a pretty good cook. Just ask my wife. She sips red wine at the breakfast bar and watches me do my thing in the kitchen. But there is something about hearing it from an old school perspective that makes the dish so much more delicious. Especially Italian food. I will make this exact dish when I reach my goal of losing 15lbs by the end of July. Thanks Gina.
