i never knew that tip about blocking... unbelievable ... this would surely be helpful in regular gameplay as well.. for 20 years ive basically been using 25% block chance when I thought it was 75% lol.
Might consider adding name locking to the list or making a video on how to do it. I havnt pvp'd in so many years I don't even totally remember how its done lol. Great video!
I haven't played in years but when I use to duel I used a "tele lock" technique. When I had their name highlighted or "locked on" I would spam bone spear with right click, I would switch to teleport while still keeping right click held down and I would teleport directly on top of them and finish them off. It was such a fun technique I would get a lot of salty people saying I was using a hack afterwards.

The 2nd tip makes so much sense now. I remember watching some dueling videos and I was wondering why they were constantly opening the character/skill tree window.
Leap will resync people Telekinesis can resync people Amazons can desync by spamming w with titans (frw on weapon) You can stealth namelock people with the unsummon skill. Very important trick. Assassins have 2 shadows. Master does what it wants, warrior only uses the skills you have on left/right click. You can force warrior to auto mindblast people if you equip a skill it cannot use with mindblast.(unsummon, Tele, etc) Poison damage is weird. Set your weapon swap up to be used offensively. You can town pk with rogue mercs. If a swirl animation is above your head, any amount of damage will put you into FHR animation. (Smite and mindblast apply this) Deadly strike, crushing blow, and open wounds are 1/3 on ranged attacks. Hdins are stooooopid. Putting points into the paladins resist fire/cold/lightning auras will passively raise your maximum resist cap. If you're in a public BM lobby, open a tp inside the den of evil for a backdoor. Hdins have a blind spot to their bottom left. Make friends with the town pk bear druid.
Really enjoying the videos and streams man, taking me back to the good old days for sure... Would love to come back and deck out a barb but that 220ms from Australia makes it so hard to compete. So where’s the Barb love man? Would love to see you running some barb builds soon

Really awesome video - one important thing you missed though is tele-locking which not only lets you teleport a lot further than CT teleport, but also lands you right on top of your target which is amazing for a lot of builds - Windy druid, FB sorc and more. Anyone interested can look it up!
I'm liking your content, Cool. Great tricks right here! Also, if you have multiple auras and BO you'll sometimes notice an aura or two not activating properly. Make sure to wep-swap and/or unequip items with auras till you see buff/aura animations overlapping, which should mean they're all active
Not sure if this still works but there's also the auralock teleport as a pala, which lets you teleport on top of anyone as long as they're on your mini map to do this you need to: 1. Have aura equipped 2. Right click and hold the aura key like your casting a skill 3. You should notice that you're still targeting them wherever they go as long as they stay on your minimap 4. Change aura to teleport using hotkey 5. Teleport right on top of them Other characters can do this too with the unsummon skill
I was also thinking a fun gimmick might be removing some gear before duels.. kind of like how Mrllama does man vs stream where he is forced to remove some gear eg remove a shield before a fight and try not to get smacked. Maybe not viable with pvp gear dependencies.. thought it might be fun tho :)
I think I last played during 1.11, and CT was also possible by right clicking the target with something passive like an aura, and then hitting the tele hotkey while still holding right mouse. that way you could be able to just "aim" and then let them walk off screen to tele right on them and make them scream HACKXXSS!!

I am 30 years old and in my Prime I had 4 or 5 totally maxed chars for duels with rare 2os skill circs, bloodrings, 45 lifers, some bmanas, legit set of 3/20/20s and Max/ar/43-44-45 lifers, perm, btal, etc,etc,etc. I was on D2jsp, were you? It brings me so much good memeries, id come back but it would be so hard to climb my way back up, im sure you cant do games Soj 4 HR, Bring Ebotd, ISO Enigma Dusk Shroud etc.... Just the elite must be left on the servers? I lost all of the chars because my names are now used, I tried to re-activate the characters few years back even if they are expired, if the name isnt taken you could reactivate them but I couldnt. So much good items goodbye :( Keep it up sir!
Sorry to hear about your loss with those items. That's the blessing and curse to having awesome, sought-after names... People try 'em all the time and if your char expired, you lose your stuff. :( A lot of people are on JSP these days, for sure, but there is quite a bit of in-game trading going on, as well. I'm learning that dueling isn't always about having the most godly items, but instead it's more about how good you are with your build. In one way or another, a REMASTER of D2 will be out within a year. At that point, many will be starting from scratch. Might be a good time to get back into it if you're still feelin' the itch!

I wish d2 had made it into d3... they scrapped their 10-15years worth of work on the newer version for one that had a 3d engine and the benefits were so BLAND... then the franchise changed into something completely different................... I was a pro dueler, but wouldnt invest any time to get beyond 95. Ideally I wanted a 97 cuzz it looks amazing in my eyes, but yea... never made it. Im sure you used d2jsp... I know the glitches. There are some bm glitches to. There is a way to glitch far cast ingame but vs pro players it dont helps realy. And 100% es sorc with gerkes and gladiators bane is interessting to. Or make hydras from town. And to make the amas ias to fcr. So u can very fast teleport. This are the glitches i know :P but well. Very bm and i rarely use them. Just vs bm players.
Now I have to link probably the best desync I ever saw, which was made by my friend while dueling with me on low lvls: ua-cam.com/video/qJQ7BUDYzFY/v-deo.html As many people from our PvP league stated, strong desync was able to achieve only by charging into obstacles like swamps, rocks or walls. I don't remember the insights because I wasn't PVPing as a hammer (and my d2 times were ages ago), but maybe you got any explanation why charging in that way would cause stronger desyncs = )

I have heard about this IAS to FCR glitch on a zon and I'm very intrigued. Will look into this for sure!
