Another thing to add to this- Every character has the unsummon skill. You can hotkey it and use it to namelock someone. if you're holding the button and hit a hotkey for tele or whatever, it'll target them. This lets you keep a namelock but be stealthy when doing it, as unsummon won't cast. Has some uses.
I remember back in the early 2000’s? As a hardcore, lld 18 zealer? The best compliment a gamer could get is being called a hacker, when in actuality? You were 100% legit! ❤️
Not that I have looked, but I am surprised it took 19 years to see a video explaining this. There are a couple other tricks that people probably don't know about... 1. How to make guided arrows, bone spirits, and fireballs invisible (really any attack) 2. Becoming immune to ranged attacks and how to stop someone that does it (not the teleporting with minion stack bug) 3. Legit Javazon CS far cast (maybe it got patched in the past 7 years) 4. Using the unsummon skill to name / chain lock as any class (amazing on a BvC)
there are another kind of bug that people will obviously not tell you , that highly increase the range of missile based skills such as guided arrow and fireball . Since bone spirit covers the whole map if there's no wall/sprite to stop it . A good practiced bowzon that knows to properly aim GA is overkill with 60% RNG to dodge every skill and like 7-8k damage with guide arrow + OW . As soon as you enter their range in the map you get guided arrow up your ass no matter what you do
Literally remembered that this morning and said, "Shit! I gotta go link Joby's channel" haha. Link AND clickable card in the video now. :) I'm saving the "easssy" for when Rick-Grimes dethrones you :P
I always played as a bone necro for pvp so I never knew this technique existed; I would name lock the hell out of people though, which is what I thought you were referring to in your pvp commentary videos. Now I know there are a few more steps after that that turns your character into a magnet, very cool. Also one of the funnest and bm things to do with a bone necro in pvp is to name lock a noob without an enigma and then spam 20 bone spirits on them as they run around, then you throw up a bone prison causing all your spirits to crash into them at once :D.
I loved TeleStomping with Necros. Big army... Tele... Lag... Opponent dead. (using the lag to one's advantage wasn't a "Nice" tactic, but it was kinda fun/funny to watch).
This is one of the reasons why D2 rocks. It's basically a point-n-click game with room for an insane technique learning curve! This is also the reason why Hdins MUST be nerfed! 10k+ magic dmg is op enough lol
That's awesome! My last PvP experiences were pre-Enigma, so that was only a thing with Sorc's (for the most part), particularly Nova Sorc's. Very cool stuff!
I haven't played a video game in like 10 days, but I'm dying to try this stuff against monsters while questing first. I hope I can do some D2 PvPing also. I want to do some PvP dueling with the girl I'm engaged to and maybe some of my friends and family members.
Is clagging still a thing? In non expansion with hammer din could disappear running with vigor and switch to concentration an hammers beside your opponent. Been 15 years since I've played haha.
Lets say we are on smiter, and you tele on a guy and start shift smiting him, all you have to to to conver that into a new stomp is hold the lock while swapping from smite to "Throw" and clicking your right click (ofc on teleport by this point) and voila! Thank me later lads, also the term chainlocking is actually when you are just holding your right click on tele port with mouse on feet (you got that part) if this is done correct and timed right you will keep on stomping a teleporting oponent without you haveing to do anything but hold teleport
This was called Name-Locking long before i knew what it was. Idk anyone who ever called it 'chain locking' /e okay 1:48 i see your explanation on the different terms.
I tried it to lock with smite (on the left) and after that let go shit and tp (on the right), but it doesn't work. I tried the same situation with throw (on the left) and it succeded, but with smite it doesn't work. Someone pls help.
is not dirty and most pvp characters going for 174+ FCR to reach max potencial to frame break , can easily chain lock till 5 or 6 times . Plus namelocking will not always work because most pvpers get closer in range in order to get namelocked , since the character will fall on top of you if you using skills thats break FHR you spam upwards and WSG a little and the character that named locked you fall into the trap and is an insta GG . Namelock Is mostly used against necromancers or MB based sorceress or hammerdins that mostly play camping or deshynching, so if they start running away you can chase them quickly and hunt them down . Now if you try that vs for example enigwinds druid , BvC , Trap syn , smiters , bowzon you get yourself fucked quite fast

When ppl say you're a hacking, it's a compliment
Always has been! Even in the old days! 😘

Nice vid. It’s so hard to try and explain this to people in public duel games. Hope this helps some people :)
I appreciate this channel.
good breakdown of a technique every pvp player should know.
Haha, cool video :P (Forgot to link my YT in the description)
Was waiting for a random kill at the end with you saying < MTL eassssssy>

@@lopatarlopatarov5803 I wasn't a noob though I had played the game for a while
Not sure if it had a name but this was done back in like 2003. It was basically the skillcap for pvp once enigma became a thing.

Very cool stuff!
Great video! What are some techniques to counter chain locking? Any movement or timing to throw things off? Thanks!
Good question! You can c/t teleport away or wsg to throw them off.
Ive never been able to do this but def gonna try it tonight lol
Nice videos can you please make a tier list for pvp ? I tried to find one but all are pvm
damn, youtube algorithm tryna call me trash lowkey, by suggesting me this video

Wonder if it works on d2r
I tried it to lock with smite (on the left) and after that let go shit and tp (on the right), but it doesn't work. I tried the same situation with throw (on the left) and it succeded, but with smite it doesn't work. Someone pls help.
sooooo only way to be free is to move far enough to break the namelock?
Yeah. A lot of people do this with C/T teleporting to increase the range quickly and then re-engage.
Don’t get it. Doesn’t teleport bring u to the point where ur cursor is? So u namelock with the right Klick or how?
wrg, no such thign as new or practicx or etc, doens tmatter, do, can do any nmw s perfx
hacks engaged LOL - file corrupt on my end.. gotta break this losing streak!!!

I dont think he meant dirty as in unfair, I think he meant dirty as in "sick" or "awesome"
