Lori looks so much fresher and what I admire about this young lady is that she’s open and honest. It’s private and personal but stars who have surgery like the Kadashians and then say they have had nothing done, that’s what I personally find insulting to my intelligence.
Oh please the kardashians have built their sells on all this. Everything about them is fake. Stuffed with plastic, fillers and botox. Plus they lie about it. As Kiley did to sell her stupid lip kits. This is a family who built themselves on plastic surgery so everyone has a right to comment on them. they are truly useless to society.
Amazing! When you see the side view you can see how much it’s opened her eyes. When I first saw just the before I was wondering what she wanted to change. They’re subtle changes; like you say well rested. The difference in the neck and lower cheeks from before to after again is subtle. Not a drastic difference to where she’s unrecognizable. Thanks for sharing this Lorry and all your other videos as well❤
I had a face lift on a Tuesday, myDr used prp injections, on Friday I washed my hair and put on makeup. I was sitting outside when my boyfriend came home, he couldn’t believe it, just a little swelling and a small yellow bruise….the prp is amazing. Of course the stitches around my ear as you described was kind of ugly, and behind my ear. I had this done about 10 years ago, people guess my age anywhere from 40’s to mid 50’s…I’m 75! The prp is huge!!!!!
@Susan Nickel i’m so glad that you’re happy with your results. However, could you tell me what PRP stands for? Thank you so much and I wish you all the very very best. Take care, Susan from Canada
I appreciate that you emphasize how long recovery really takes. It seems like most doctors say2-week recovery. That’s misleading - to feel normal again takes much longer than that!
Hi Lorry.. I just wanted to say wow on your face Surgery! Anyways I’m 61 and I’m having facelift fat transfer and laser on 21 September. I’m very excited! and nervous! You showed us day by day your results I’m curious as to how you cared for your face in those days . Did you use vinegar and water peroxide? Did you ice every three hours I heard you shouldn’t ice when you have fat transfer because it diminishes the fat. Have you heard of a this? do you have a video that I missed on the care After procedures of your face surgery thanks
It absolutely does! Watching her videos is a bit distracting because I keep watching her mouth. It’s like she cannot make the “p” or “b” sounds like a normal person does by bringing the upper and lower lips together. She relies on her upper teeth to meet the lower lip to form these sounds now. It’s bizarre.
Same! I really like her videos but her face doesn’t move properly. I don’t know if this is due to the facelift or the lip lift. It’s very unnatural. Has she addressed this in any of her videos?
I’d be interested in seeing a video about how you deal with hooded eyes if a patient wishes to surgically “remove” them, especially if they also have deep set eyes?
Hi Sarah. Great question you have about hooded eyelids. Happy to make a detailed video on the topic. In the meantime I recommend watching this video on blepharoplasty surgery that should address some of questions. ua-cam.com/video/wgYcl0hcgO8/v-deo.html
I meant to mention that although I looked normal after just a few days, it was a big deal. It took a few months to feel normal, and probably several months before it all settled down.
I don’t think you’ve ever addressed a procedure called the Y lift . It was invented by NY Dr. Trokel what makes this so different even though it’s the application of fillers it’s done with a certain instrument that allows the fillers to go much deeper and to actually bring about aDifference because it does structural modification and not just soft tissue enhancement. Supposedly it is very long lasting and can actually give a major lift to the face and not make it look like a pillow face
I have a minilift and years before blepharoplasty, in Both cases the fitst week is hard. And always happy listen music waiting the final results. It’s the price but It worth. To looks like ten or 8 years younger and happy with ourselves. And ten years later planning a Facelift again. But this time the final result it’s gonna be faster. Yogur body repairs itself faster….
Thanks for sharing this, especially with your comments and additions to it. I had no idea about all of this after care and how laid up you are, the requirement of another person babysitting you. The extra person to watch over you 24/7 is prohibitive for many single people, I wonder logistically how people do it. Is it really required to have a 24/7 baby sitter for a whole week, not just 2-3 days after? How does it work if you are rural and seeing a surgeon in another state, I wonder.
Everyone's threshold to have plastic surgery is different .There is no one "perfect"age to begin it is an individual consideration based upon perceived issues , finances, pre -existing medical problems and expectations.
Apparently it’s called a maintenance and helps to hide you have had a lift going forward.I believe most stars have this early including JLo . I would if I could afford it but I think like you probably in my late 50s.
She had to go through a real nightmare with her nose. I personally think that we should not get anything done. Why is it wrong to age? Why is it seen as something is wrong with us? I'm 40 and men that are 50 or 60 tell me that my life is over. LOL IRONIC
This is precisely why. Men say women are worthless and not attractive after 30, some even say 25. It's really sad but I've caved into this societal pressure as well. I wish things were different, but I see no signs of changing. If anything, it's getting worse.
I wish I could afford your services. My eyelids have always been hooded ,and I don't want to look completely different, but my lids are starting to hang over my eyes a tiny bit and sometimes when I wake up they are so droopy looking.
This is why i would plan in advance to have a PAID caregiver who's knowledgeable and on top of things and won't get annoyed and talk about me (like a dog) in the future!😂
What do you think about Lorry’s decision to have a SMAS vs Deep plane facelift ? Was it a reasonable choice for her , specifically because of her relative youth and lack of significant sagging?
Her face looks frozen and weird to me. It doesn't look good to me. Sorry. She can judge all these celebrities so i feel free to say my opinion on her. 🤷♀️
I agree. It looks unnatural. She's a nice woman but it needs to be addressed because too many young women are being influenced and getting surgery that makes them look odd. It has all gotten out of control and few people come out looking natural anymore.
Great results... one thing though little expression on your face ... like or not, maybe too much botox??? Don't know I'm not a surgeon. One thing if you post you invite comments, all kinds, is great to accept comments ... otherwise don't post, this is life everyone thinks differently!
I really, truly, don’t understand why women do this to themselves. The surgeon has turkey neck, no facelift, is wearing glasses and is semi-bold, and he doesn’t care. He earns lots of $$$ operating on insecure women while he is comfortably and naturally aging himself. What is wrong people???
Not true. I perform facelifts on men all the time. And I agree with you, I would benefit from a few plastic surgery procedures but the problem is I trust very few people to perform my surgeries. I wish I could do my own but that is impossible.
Lory you look like someone your husband the dentist beat you down and dragged you by the hair girl 😂 I’m just teasing you know I think you’re gorgeous!Stop the Percocets they’re like sooo overrated and harmful❤we think your beautiful is what we think !You didn’t need it but I can see the difference, just 2 different looks!
Wow it’s amazing that Lorry & other have shared these videos! It helps demystify the procedures. Thanks Lorry and doctor.

Very nicely explained, I'm glad you had the idea to make this video, Lorry is brave, honest and open
It was a fun one to make and a great way for people to understand the facelift recovery process from a patient and my own perspective.

Why on earth would a woman at her age want a face-lift? I am 56 and had a face-lift and it was very painful behind my ears. Don't downplay the pain.
I meant to mention that although I looked normal after just a few days, it was a big deal. It took a few months to feel normal, and probably several months before it all settled down.
I'm getting a face lift, cheek implants (my face has flattened out), upper and lower eyes. Thanks for the video, I found it very helpful.
I’m glad to hear it was!

Dr. Joel, my question, I am a hairdresser. Do you think 30 days to recover is enough time before going back to work?
You will certainly be able to return to work and possibly sooner but just don’t expect a full full recovery after a month.
@@drkopelmanThank you! I am aware full recovery takes many months, I was just concerned because my work is physical. :)

Doc did you get a facelift? looking fresh :)
great informative videos!
I personally couldn’t do it. I’m 57 and am embracing my age. I wear makeup and do facial massage, but that’s as far as I’ll go.
Wow! She looks fabulous now
We can see before surgery
Nice improvements
Is it typical to need a caretaker for as long as this , many of us don’t have that option ? Would hiring a day nurse for the first 2-3 days be enough?
I think 2-3 days is all you need. Even just for the first night would be sufficient if you have no one else around to help you.
