Dr Kopelman - how do you manage the small white cysts (millia) that sometimes form after a blepharoplasty? I have developed 3 along suture line after U and L blepharoplasty 3 weeks ago.
I’ve had upper & lower blephorplasty about 2.5months ago which sadly have so many issues due to botched up work by plastic surgeon. In the process of upper eyelid surgery now I’ve still excessive skin, acute ptosis which I’ve never had before, one eye stitching done badly which still cause puckering and sausage style eyelid 😅. Whereas lower blephoraplasty I’ve still one eye very baggy as if never done any surgery & the other eye is hallow & sunken look but left inner corner median fat left which aesthetically looks weird. So now I end up having 3 types of revision needs to be done. Can I have a revision done after waiting 6-7 months? I had hoped only one time I’d need this surgery but never expected to go through such invasive ordeal so soon. Your advise is much appreciated, thank you 🙏🏻
You should wait at least 3 to 6 months before you consider revision surgery unless there are functional eyelid problems that need to be addressed sooner
Having dry eyes does not mean you can't have a blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty is cosmetic eyelid surgery with the external eyelid skin that is excised and removed, does not impact your cornea (surface of your eyeball) at all.
I had upper blepharoplastry a month ago. My eyelids are still swollen and droopy. Is it because I did not do cold compress after leaving the clinic? What should be done to help?
Dr. Kopelman I had up and lower eyelid surgery on January 26. Before I agreed to have the surgery I was told the healing would been only a month or 2, After I had the surgery and it affected my vision (blur/double vision) I was told the healing could take One to two years. 😧I am having nerve problems dry eyes, in my eye and around my eyebrows nerve pain and crawling, etc. My lower eyes lid by the cheeks are puffy and not smooth. A nightmare! The doctors is aware of the problems but scheduling follow up appointments 2 and 3 months apart. On my own I am seeing a specialist to get my sight corrected. This is not normal. Can you give me some advice??
Same situation. I have quad bleph its been two eeks now but my tear ducts is sunken or hallowed makes my eyes dark circles, and sometimes in my above eyebrow i felt that there is crawling inside or something
@@Rawwwrrr124 thank you for your response. You are healing really good. 😁 what kind of treatment if you don’t mind me asking, did you receive after the surgery? The Doctor/surgeon that did the surgery… he schedules my appointment between 3 and 4 months and when I see he just talks and he sees and knows he affected my eye sight during the surgery. I am seeing a specialist. To me I have dry eye disease from the surgery. When I close my eyes for more than 5 minutes, I am seeing double for 15 to 20 minutes.
I have chronic dry eye. I want to do an upper as I look awful now and the loose skin makes me feel tired and I have to wise my eyebrows too much. I am 61. Ages me badly.
Yes eyelids can definitely be revised. I happen to be an expert in eyelid revisions from mistakes done by other surgeons. If you want to do a consultation with me you can book a virtual or in person appointment through my website. Drkopelman.com
I have an enzyme disorder and am an extremely high risk for anesthesia problems, but after consulting with the anesthesiologists, propofol was recommended and I have zero anesthesia problems. Ask with everything weigh out benefits vs risks.
As an oculoplastic surgeon, I’ve worked with many patients who have dry eyes and have undergone both upper and lower eyelid surgeries without any worsening of their condition. In my experience, proper surgical technique ensures that dry eyes are not negatively impacted. I've never seen eyelid surgery make dry eyes worse.
I’m getting ready to have this done and I’m scared to death and the more video as I watched the more afraid I become ……not of the procedure at all. It’s the results. I’ve had a lot of bad results in the past and I’m afraid that it’s not gonna be noticeable enough and I’m terrified……. my surgeon is excellent. I’m just terrified. I
@@drkopelman I had upper and lower blep done on 12/6. Today is 12/15. Yesterday evening 12/14, I noticed little tiny bubbles above my upper incision line. It isn’t all the way across. Should I be concerned? My follow up appointment is on 12/19.
Your channel is the best btw. You are clearly a nice human as well as a great surgeon.
Thank you! 😊
Thanks, Dr Kopelman, your videos are so informative!

I’m having a blocked tear duct surgery in addition to the eyelid lift , I’m taking 14 days off of work, do you think that is enough time?
If ever i undergo bleph, when is the best time of doing botox, before or aftet?
Botox before your surgery will allow you to heal with fewer scars
Do you have a surgeon in Maryland/DC area that you higly recommend?
Do you recommand resorbale stitches or non resorbable one and why ?

They can be simply opened with a needle

Very informative❗️
Glad it was!
Also if I cannot do the bleph due to my eyes being dry will eyebrow lift be worth it at all?

Find somewhere that does HBOT (pressurised oxygen therapy) you might only need 3-5 hour sessions but it is fantastic for healing after surgery 😊

another important question is what's the cost please?
Rule # 1 in selecting doctors - pick the older ones - they have a lifetime of medical knowledge. Don't go for the ones right out of medical school.

Well I hope this gives you more clarity and confidence to have this procedure
Don’t be scarred. I’m sure it will come out fine and you will look great. You’re just being nervous that’s normal.
Doctor, for God's sake, charge $400 for a video consultation !
Any questions I can help answer for you about eyelid surgery?
