    Hello Dr. P..Thank you so much for talking about Fasting For Women...
    Most of what we hear on UA-cam is men talking about fasting that is mostly geared towards men.
    My husband and I started Intermittent Fasting since last year and he lost 45 pounds so far and I only lost 7-8. He is able to OMED and I continue to go up and down. Most of the days I have two meals and of course cravings for certain food on certain days.
    Anyways, Last year age 55 I started to have heavy bleeding(Menometorrhagia) and my Gyn told me that my Endometrium Lining has thickened by 6cm. This was discovered after they had ordered a Vaginal Ultrasound. And now they are recommending getting DNC with Hysteroscopy done. Along with these my blood work shows that my Cholesterol is elevated, I am pre-diabetic and hypothyroidism. I guess the lining has thickened dur to too much Progesterone??? Am I right? They put me on the Hormone for one month but that didn't solve the issue.........I am constantly going up and down with fasting like roller coaster.... Fasting could be the solution to my problem...

    Hi mindy !
    My endometrial lining is too thick I think it might be easteogen dominance …. I now also have body odour which I havnt had before … I have been stressed for quite a while and I’ve also lost half my hair if not more than half …. I used to be a regular faster and I never had BO and my heart was beautiful…
    I was 8kg lighther then

    Hi Mindy! I'm starting my 4th week of intermittent fasting and have lost almost 10 lbs, with a few more to go. My energy is good, and I'm enjoying the process, can easily do 15-18 hour fasts so far. My concern is this seems to be triggering my hormones, and my body is trying to have a period. I'm a 60-year old post-menopausal woman. Should I be concerned about this?

    Dr. Mindy i started again my fasting on my 1st day of period then after my flow i had a bright yellow discharge in 2 days then gone what was it? Is there a connection on my fasting? I do omad that time then switch again to 16:8 after seeing that discharge then it was clear..

    You mentioned in your previous video, 7 days prior to our cycle, increase your carbs rich foods. Do we need to increase estrogen's foods or progestin as welll. Also I'm hypo thyroidism .TIA

    If I order the Dutch test will it tell me if I am estrogen dominate? In other words will i be able to read the report myself? Unfortunately I can not afford the test and to have a functional medicine dr interpret it. I'm hoping if I order the test if the report will be easy for me to read.

    I am 55 and in menopause, I do IF for 17-18 hour but I can’t seem the lose any weight. I recently diagnosed with apnea and my doctor tells me every night my body go in stress mode because of the breathing stops and release cortisol.
    What can I do??

    I have an issue that’s completely the opposite of 99% of people out there !! I am 49 and all my life I struggled with actually keeping weight on !! I am 5’4 and 112lb ( I do eat quite healthy although cheating on food doesn’t affect my weight at all ) . I do have hormones imbalances and would love to start the fasting protocols but I am concern about losing more weight . Any advice please , greatly appreciate it . 🙏🏻

      Dr. Mindy Pelz i actually took the Duch urine test twice . Once 5 years ago and my last one was I February this year . My Estrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone are much lower then 5 years ago . I do have lots of symptoms that correlate with the low levels of hormones.
      My adrenals look much better then 5 years ago . The liver is clearing the harmful estrogen pretty good but it slowed down some since 5 years ago , so I am doing coffee enemas and start taking DIM 200 mg .
      The test is indeed very accurate but quite pricy.
      I am still not understanding how the DUTCH results has anything to do with my concern of losing more weight while fasting.

    Thank You !! Ive just started fasting this month and beginning to get the detox symtoms like spots etc! Im on a weak eastogen patch as Ive got mild menopausal symtoms .. im seeing Gynaecologist tomorrow .. should I stop wearing patch and just trust the body to level out oestrogen I wonder? ❤️🇸🇪

    I had a total andominal hysterectomy on 9-16-20 and my GFR is 28 and I am struggling. My OBGYN placed me on Estradial 5 mg daily and now I have insomnia bad! Any thoughts would be welcomed. Carniviore #12 weeks

      Jackie S 5mg sounds like a lot! If you check out her pinned post she says too much estrogen will cause insomnia. Also, low progesterone will keep one awake at night.

      You are less than a month out from major surgery. Give yourself some time.
      As a fellow carnivore I know it does help with wound healing. Keep eating your meat and be patient. Once things even out you may find you don't need the Estradial.

    i have been fasting like a girl and worked my way up to 16-18 hour fasts and it worked bringing my numbers down and i was thrilled, then bam…they went back up towards 200. its like my body just said screw you and adapted to my new ways. i have been IF for 3 months and using ac and i am less than 20 or zero carbs. no sugar, no alcohol, no pasta, no rice, no processed food…i have been diabetic for 24 years and wondering if i should just keep on doing what i am doing…i am a skinny diabetic at 135, 5’6 and I had a hysterectomy 38 years ago

    I suffered from hypothyroidism and been doing keto but even though I do everything right and fast every day I'm still dealing with weight gain, hair loss and bloating. I have 51 years old and I think I'm perimenopause.

    I feel extremely better with two meals with no snacking and I can do one meal when my stomach is sore or has inflammation or when I eat
    too much nuts or healthy foods that Cause me to bloat.Especially when I eat walnuts, I can eat a whole bag.😄

    Dr Mindy, I am a 58 yr old post menapause (brought on at 35 after hysterectomy) I have autoimmune disease and I have been fasting for 3 years and have never lost weight! I have tried the carnivore diet as well and that made me loss a small amount of weight (7 lbs) I started taking sea moss, that had helped with inflammation and gut issues but I am at a loss, I continue to gain weight, I eat health little to no sugar, mostly meat and meat byproduct. Does any of this sound familiar?

    Is the autophagy fasting based on human studies? I'm wondering if it's enough. A mouse fasting for 17 hours is very different from a human fasting 17 hours. We can go weeks without food. A mouse cannot. How do we know that we get repair and apoptosis effects from daily fasting in humans?

    hi can you help me. i don't have my period for 2 years. i got it the first time in november 2020, it disappeared again in january 2021. can i do the autophagy fast for 6x days a week and 1x day a week the 24 hour water fast with 1-2 days hormon building foods? thank you!
