  • Are you dealing with symptoms of estrogen dominance such as bloating, breast tenderness, irregular cycles or moodiness? Wonder if your hormones are to blame for headaches, anxiety, increased belly fat or even hair loss? We'll review what exactly estrogen dominance is, common symptoms, and 6 ways to reduce estrogen dominance.
    Estrogen dominance is either the excess of estrogen circulating in the body or the dominance of estrogen due to insufficient countering hormones including progesterone for women and testosterone for men. This hormonal imbalance is especially common when dealing with rapid weight gain or weight loss, hormonal birth control use and exposure to toxins and endocrine disruptors and can impact women at any stage from cycling to menopausal as well as men. Learn about the symptoms and causes of estrogen dominance and how to reduce exposures in your day-to-day life. Plus we walk you through foods, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations.

    We all have to remember that doctors are not nutritionists. They are not trained on over all health. There are soooo many professions in the health world and unfortunately as children, we are not taught much about how to manage and take care of our bodies uniquely. It's up to us to seek and educate ourselves and listen to our bodies and utilize tools like the internet to figure out what resources we should be seeking help for. A professional is always the best option, but if you're on a budget, trying to learn some things yourself is better than not making changes at all! Be kind to yourself! And PLEASE just realize that there are many levels to health. Stress management, eating healthy for your own unique needs, being social and part of your community, exercising and learning how to weight train, getting your sleep and drinking your water and managing bad habits like alchohol or smoking! xoxoxox I hope you all find the help you need!

    Wish you ladies mentioned how hormones fluctuate during peri-menopause. I always had normal to lower levels of estrogen. I had my hormones checked in January and my progesterone 11.9, estradiol 20.6 and FSH 23.3 and DHEA was 175 and in March progesterone dropped to 1.4, estradiol jumped to 360, FSH dropped to 2.3 and DHEA dropped to 135 (because she tested on the second day of my cycle vs day 21 like she did last time. My doctor suggested taking DIM, vitex and maca. In the morning, I always have warm lemon water with ACV. I also make a turmeric drink. I eat mainly plants, organic and exercise. Limit plastic. So, I was very surprised when she mentioned dominance.

    Had a complete hysterectomy 30 years ago. Taking Premarin for 29 years. Breast cancer diagnosis; estrogen and progesterone receptive. Stopping Premarin Hormones.
    But they want me to do Hormone Blockers Arimidex
    So many awful side affects.
    I just can’t take that.
    Will the protocol you suggest in this wonderfully informative video be the answer to my prayers. 🙏 and at least lower my estrogen production. I also am losing weight to help lower estrogen production.

    I was on hormonal Birth control for 17 years... I am off now..But having major issues with stubborn belly fat and just gaining and gaining weight and not being able to loose it no matter what I do..It was the same while I was on the IUD....I feel really discouraged because I have tried EVERYTHING. I have done big detoxes..I take liver support. I have done the reset shakes...I cut out dairy and gluten I eat healthy... what I usually eat in a day is a super low acid decaf coffee to start my day, using only creamer like a natural coconut milk,,and I sometimes combine it with protein powder...I have a orgain dairy free organic protein shake later in the day as breakfast..I have only a small salad at work and I eat a home cooked gluten free dinner..wich is literally my only meal of the day. I have gone long stretches without sugar carbs and alcohol...Only to maybe loose 2 pounds that I gain right back... I take Cytozyme F. (this actually helps me alot around my period, as it reduces alot of those uncomfortable symptoms like sore breast, acne etc) other than that I have found very very little success in anything.

    Great informative video! My question is how does maca work? Does it increase estrogen levels or does it lower? I tried maca for a month and got really bad cystic acne on the jaw area from it. Was it because it additionally increased my estrogen levels?

    • @naturallynourishedRD
      @naturallynourishedRD  3 роки тому +4

      Maca stimulates the pituitary gland and aids in progesterone predominantly, however in estrogen dominant individuals I have seen it drive symptoms like you are describing. You might want to consider our 10 Day Detox to help to reset hormone levels and even stick with 1 detox pack daily ongoing and/or the Broccodetox that we discuss in this video.

    Super curious if estrogen dominance is behind cervical polyps (benign), and curious if these can shrink naturally by balancing estrogen? Currently transitioning from paleo to more plant based. Would I need to get rid of meat and eggs entirely? Even organic?

    • @naturallynourishedRD
      @naturallynourishedRD  Рік тому +4

      Yes estrogen dominance can drive polyps, cysts and fibroids. Check out our Inflammazyme product to help to reduce size. To be clear, we would not recommend a plant based diet in this case as the high soy and plant compounds can be unfavorable for estrogen dominance. Paleo is a great choice.

    I’ve tested nutritional allergies twice and did microbiome testing and broccoli showed up as NO. Is the broccoli detox different than eating broccoli? Sounds odd but sometimes the process of drying and processing changes things. I wondered this about micro greens. Can you eat things in that form that you wouldn’t eat in “grown up” veggies? I’ll research on myself but thought I’d ask. 😊

    Hi, what do you recommend for shrinking fibroids? And what kind of meals/ diets/ supplements? I have 3, one about 2.5cm, one about 4.6cm, and one about 8.3cm. I'm on birthcontrol pills because the fibroids causes debilitating cramps during my time of month. I think I was able to shrink them about 6 years ago but about 2 years ago between getting the covid shot, starting a new job, was diagnosed with hypothyroidism so I was put on that medication, and my sleep schedule is out of whack (I get less than 7hrs of sleep, mainly my fault 75% of the time), idk if it was any of those but I gained 10pounds, looks bloated, and my fibroids grew and my periods went from 3-5 days to 7 days. I was thinking of going back on Intermittent Fasting because that might've helped me lose weight and shrink the fibroids. Not really concerned about the weight part, but more concerned about shrinking my fibroids, gain more energy because I always feel drained, and get rid of bloating, and regulate my gut health

    How can you get your protein if you have estrogen dominance?

    • @naturallynourishedRD
      @naturallynourishedRD  3 роки тому +3

      We still highly recommend animal protein as the amino acids support detox of estrogen and would have less estrogenic influence vs. plant based proteins like soy, etc. You might hold off on dairy but otherwise protein is a go as long as well sourced (no growth hormone!)

    Can you please answer me something? I really need an answer and need to know... Which is the following doubt: how long should i be taking these supplements to see results? (in my case to reduce estrogen because of cysts on breasts? Does someone knows and can respond, please? I really need to know...) And can I take all of these supplements or just one to see results?

    • @naturallynourishedRD
      @naturallynourishedRD  2 роки тому

      It would be relative based on the level of estrogen dominance or severity of cysts. Generally at least 6-12 months of consistency and I’d start with 2-4 focused formulas.

    • @andreias5564
      @andreias5564 2 роки тому

      @@naturallynourishedRD is this because of high estrogen? Could a person take 2 formulas together at the same time? for example one pill at 8 am / 8pm and another different brand and product at 11 am and 11 pm? Is DIM indicated for this? And Estrogen reducers? Do I need estrogen blood test? I am making liver detox already. Have 3 breast cysts. I got them while taking Nystatin. Do you think if I stop Nystatin, they will go away slowly? Is damage to liver this permanent? I do not have any more symptoms besides 3 cyst breast lumps. I do not have more problems else where in my body. Doctors here do not tell me how to resolve this issue. I really need your response.

    My dr is doing nothing, he wont even check my hormones or basic panels for liver...
    Even though I have very clear elevated eateogen...instead he wants to put me on a progesterone implant.
    My menses is completely normal, used to be very heavy and clotty but not any longer ...HOWEVER
    I have an estrogen migraine two days before my menses, and its truly the worst migraine type ive ever experienced. Completely debilitating, not reaponsive to oharmaceutical or natural therapies... up to 60 hrs of high elevated pain with vomiting and no ability to drink water /eat
    I dont have bowel issues but i do have chronic bloating and I know my microbiome is messed, been working on it.
    Outside of that, rapid weight gain even with no change in exercise or diet ...its just a crap shoot and I know im not supposed to feel this way.
    So im going to follow your detox and likely check out your products... But do you have any other insights

    Wrong about soy! The latest research shows soy is actually good to control healthy levels of estrogen. Plenty of nutritional doctors talk about it now. Soy has been demonstrated because of a study done on mice, but later, it showed it does NOT have the same effect on humans.
