Using weight training to increase body weight helped me increase lumbar bone density by nearly 1.5 standard deviations in two years. Increasing body weight is the most effective for very skinny people.
Dr. Sung, thank you. 🙏🙏 This information is beyond helpful for me. I am 58 and recently fell and fractured my ankle and wrist. The ankle required surgery and a plate. As mentioned but not emphasized, be sure to take K2 (trans mk-7) if supplementing with calcium. Without it, calcium does not know where to go. Keep in mind that D3 increases calcium absorption, so if even if not supplementing calcium but are taking D3, you will want K2 for same purpose.

I am also in Australia. My gp wants me to get Prolia injection every 6 months. I am terrified to take drugs for osteoporosis. I am taking 5000 UI vitamin D K2 magnesium. Bone broth and trampoline exercises 10 min every day. Also walking 6-8 k every single day. I don’t want to take calcium as they say it clots arteries
@@nataliadartchia1781 will you dr prescribe Armour Thyroid? My primary care was open to that, thank goodness. I get the "terrified". I am all about 'quality of life', doing what I can to improve my health, balance, etc. Good luck to you. I was diagnosed at 49 - shook me up pretty good.
Where can a person buy this product? It’s not available on Amazon.
I can't find specific KoACT anywhere..so confusing..trying to find what dr recommends
@@jackieboyette2999I guess it didn’t take off obviously! Maybe finding out the ingredients and buying separately?

Please!!!
What about how blood thinners, statins, hyyper thyroidism affect the bones?????
I can’t find the supplement anywhere. A search on the website sends me to a link for a life extension phone builder. But I don’t know if it’s the same thing as the. KoACT
Agree!!! Need more specific info to get the right one!!
OK. I’m taking Fosamax and I’m going to stop but I have a question. I’m going to go the route of a good KoAct supplement (already purchased). However, I currently have a hydrolyzed collagen, peptide powder (high quality non vegan grass fed) every day. Since KoAct has collagen peptides in it, should I discontinue taking my collagen powder every day?
@Maryrinkevich9274 hi where did you purchased KoAct? Thanks

@@jackieboyette2999 I just googled it and life extension brand has a supplement that includes this in it
