Completely overhaul everything.
Make it PAID, so they can’t use f2p as an excuse for subpar & overpriced content. Focus on making the game FUN and not like another day job. Stop sunsetting campaigns, activities, etc. create a better system where you don’t have to. Matchmaking needs to be pushed, it’s a bloody co-op game ffs. Bring back stuff like SRL!
Edit: I agree with Byf, it would add so much to the experience being able to fight side by side with beloved characters.
and even doing endgame activities with them would be so cool and a good solution for people who cant find people too play with monster hunter rise sunbreak has a system like this where you can go on hunts with npc hunters but in sunbreak its a bit too restricted where you can only go with the npcs on certain hunt quests not all of them but that restriction can be bypassed with a mod
The guardian needs to talk. The Ghost shouldn’t be talking for us
We also need to start utilizing our powers in cutscenes more instead of just pointing a gun at it
I know that fire team chat spoke about this on IGN but I agree with what they said.
Destiny 3 needs to be built from the ground up to run on PC and PS6/next gen Xbox. If the game comes out in 2027 or 2028, the PS5 and XSX will be about in the same spot that the PS4 is in right now.
I want the game to be way more open world, before Destiny 1 came out they talked about "If you can see it you can go there". And I'd want them to build the destiny that they've always wanted to build but were held back by technical constraints
I want D3 to be a proper MMO with a massive open world and free travel. Make jumping between activities seemless. Make it more focused on individual stories and quests across the universe. Build the main story up slowly across few years of content and then drop first major campaign.
That is what I would love for D3 instead of matchmade activities. Destiny's world does not feel like a world when most of it is happening in enclosed and repeated instances.
I also agree with ME narrative, but there I would prefer juat having emotional story my character can really feel and experience rather than being a pawn to other characters.
I want to see game modes like *The Coil* & *Onslaught* make a return.
I think they could remove gambit and make onslaught take its primal place. But further explore other activities which has made Destiny 2 shine like The Menegrie, The Coil, Escalation Protocal would be great to see on Public Destinations like EDZ, Cosmo in mothyards, Europa. New public activities like Strongholds like Lost Sectors but when you run into the stronghold you are met with other guardians roaming and you fight off hordes of enemies and boss. The Forges, The Reckoning, Gambit could use a rework and bring back Gambit Prime but in all fairness I hope it doesn’t tbh. But Bungie should really explore activities which made us love the game and enjoy it endlessly and build on those activities with new locations, rewards new and reprised from past seasons, sunsetted or D1, Unique Emblems and more!
onslaught for sure they can really build on that game mode an it’s a good challenging repetitive gameplay loop that throws a lot at you
The leaks talking about the removal of the class system are interesting. It seems like the devs are leaning that way with the blending of subclass in prismatic and the mixing of exotic perks with class items. I think in d3 no classes would means a new way to build a character. not just a hunter titan or warlock but being able to build your own guardian with their own role. The idea of a final shape could also mean the final shape of what it means to be a gaurdian.
They better bring back Taniks for D3

Yes Destiny 3 Should start by in the Character Creation you have the option to create your new character from Humans, Exos, Awoken, Fallen, Cabal, and maybe another new Allied Alien Race that we just got. This is just the beginning, introduction of D3.
Make Destiny the MMORPG game it deserves to be!

I think we need to leave our Guardian behind and lean into rpg elements with a new character. Have quests to unlock elements, aspects, and fragments, etc.

Should just do warframe formula in D3 skin. No more time wasting. No more fomo. Just lay everything out there, price point or not cause I don't have time to grind all these damn games in this Battle Pass Era.
Overhaul on gameplay loop. Massive gunplay overhaul for destiny 3 to even be considered a thought!
Please don't do the mass effect stuff. Just make the ghost less childish and let it be like a Cortana and allow our characters to speak much more often. Tell cohesive stories that are not fragmented six ways from Sunday after two years into D3.

That’s not the developers fault though that’s just players not doing it me is because I’m socially anxious of lfg, but that’s not on them
We don’t need Destiny 3 in the first place
Even if you gotta chase the trend of Helldivers, do just that.
And a PVE overhaul, in tired of "aimbot wall hack unstunable enemy shooting DOT AOE tracking rockets as your endgame PVE is just stand behind cover, never leave cover, plink enemies, if the AOE DOT rockets kill you from behind cover you did something wrong (or perhaps nothing wrong)".
People say Destiny is a "movement shooter" but it hates when you move in PVE unless you use movement tech to go ZOOMIN.
That's why I stay in Rumble PVP where I rise and fall by my skill and mistakes. I barely engage in PVE, never do GMs or Master raids, or any endgame let alone endgame, it's a slog, it's sleep inducing, it's boring (if you enjoy PVE more power to you, I'm the loser, I'm the moron, I'm the blueberry, I'm the zoomer with 5' attention span that doomscrolls Tiktok and all that, I still I don't like it, and if there is a wishlist, I want it changed to something more active than "find the boxes in the corner of the boss room and plink at Valus Ta'aruc)
im hoping that 3 is what destiny 2 was supposed to be and is just a complete overhaul to the game. im fine with buying a whole new game but i hope atleast my seals and emblems i earned from the destiny 2 carries over and i can use them without having to grind for them again
What Destiny 3 needs to do is a reset where we take all our most prominent characters and send them permanently to the past, like Avengers Endgame, to win the fight.
From there, it could be like Byfe is suggesting with Mass Effect storytelling and companion interaction. New enemies, better use of the Factions of the last city, etc. It could be a hard reset to everything we know Destiny to be so far.
Maybe they go back in time to the golden age in a time of peace, and have the opportunity to prevent the last city from ever needing to exist.
Bungie doesn't have the imagination to do this. They never will.
