Some people would personally prefer seasons, some dlcs like d1 but I personally would prefer these acts as it allows new players and casual players to catch up and not get overwhelmed, it gives bungie more time for development and more money/resources per act and will mean the servers will be better as overall the content will be lesser (weapons, armor, perks, activities, missions, quests, etc) it also allows people to do what they want and play other games
I'm personally using final shape as a jumping off point. I'm tired of Bungies ever growing avarice with MTX, and addiction treadmill to make junkies out of us all. Plus that GDC talk made me realize Management is suffocating the artistry of the dev to throw out minimum viable product.
The vast majority people who are quitting aren't "new light"s buddy. As someone who's been here since launch D1, I can speak for most when I say we're quitting because this is the end of the story we care about, and we have in fact been looking for a good time to jump off for a very long time. I don't blame you for not knowing that though, you're probably the new light. ;)@@harrymoss4702
If episodes can be returned to; like say I miss episodes 2&3 and come in on episode 3. If I can still play through 1&2 then the model fits. If episodes disappear before the new expansion, then it’s essentially the same as seasons.
So you want them to immediately start with another “witness” type story line already? Why not just start small like D1 did, at least for a while, but I looks like these are all things that tie up loose ends, like what happened to Fikrul,Xivu?
Bungie half asses their current seasons and DLCs. Lazy story writing with explanations written in BS lore, trash cut scenes, repetitive content grinding, and lack of content for DLC expansion (compared to previous DLCs). Plus, I guarantee they’re gunna content vault more content (which is a crime against gaming). I’m not excited for these episodes. They should allocate their efforts towards Destiny 3 and start new.
@@donnyquick180 that’s a really fair point! In my opinion, it’ll allow them to have a fresh start and utilize a new engine. At this time, Destiny 2 is struggling with an old engine and split between old & next gen consoles. Destiny 3 would enable them to strictly focus on making a game for next gen. Plus, they can use the lessons learned from D2 to make a better game. Just my thoughts.
I question warmind and curse of osiris being compared to "what we get now" because along with them year one was the entire base game, so which is more likely what players want lightfall and it's 4 (so far imo boring) seasons OR the base game and warmind and curse of osiris, no doubt in my mind year one gave us so much more than the current expansion, I think there are things to be learned from seasons don't get me wrong, consistent schedules is good, returning raids were good and more returning content would be better, but also seasons have ugly sides, seasons on average only give like 3 "new" activities being generous and all of those are just strikes and will be made later into literal strikes, seasons give no new landing zones usually, seasons get removed unnecessarily each year, mini-expansions like year 1 had more intricate true story missions unlike the "quests" we get now which is to do a strike then talk to an npc in the helm I don't think we should go all the way back to year one but I think people overplay it's downsides

I'd love to see the numbers for destiny post the final shape.
I'm gonna be done final shape. I stand by my word
Nobody asked new light
99% of the people who say this is the last expansion they buy, always buy the next expansion when Bungie drops a "hype" new trailer.

Next year is legit going to be a year of filler arcs.
To be honest, I think Destiny ended with The Witch Queen. The Final Shape...may not be all that

No, its a year of epilogues.
Do a halo with the bp u buy it then u keep till its done not till the seasons over
I thought I heard DanTDM for a moment
Honestly same sh*t different day these epilogues will have its own problems to face just like what we had in the past.
Everything has its own problems and issues, nothings perfect, what a useless comment 😂

If they can’t do well with all you just said, what is a D3 gonna change, huh?
