How do you ignore a player base concentrated on PVP and then create a game based on PVP and expect them to flock over and them not expect the same treatment?
Just wanna push a lazy game that gets them by on the bare minimum.
playing destiny is 100% an investment. what other time do investors NOT want to know. bungie is 100% NOT TO BE TRUSTED. EVER.
I think context and the way communication is handled is very important. Taking Crucible and Gambit as examples, Bungie has, for years, made multiple comments, especially through communication with Game Directors, about their desire to renew their focus on those activities, or that they are beginning to do so. To me, as a player, if you say you want to renew your focus on something, it means you're going to do so. Otherwise, you'd say "we'd like to, but...(insert reason)". And when that communication takes place pretty much yearly, I don't think it's unreasonable for the player base to think that's something you've been working on, in a fashion that would be considered meaningful to the players. I don't speak for anyone besides myself, but if you asked me if gameplay tweaks and reward economy changes to Gambit were considered a renewed focus on Gambit, I would say no. I'd consider that to be part of the normal update cycle of maintaining an existing piece of content.
Probably coming off a bit scattered, but I think it mostly comes down to poor communication on Bungie's end. For a company that communicates with it's players so much, they make some baffling choices. I do think they have been getting significantly better at communication this past year. Getting posts from Joe Blackburn saying "we know we need to make some changes, these are things you can expect in this timeline of (thing A in this season, thing B in this season, etc)" help to set realistic expectations for the players. And it's insightful to see so many update previews, the reasons behind them, and posts about under the hood work, like the work on bug fixes or server instability.
This. This this this. This comment I applaud. I agree with comment. Communication is always key. And it also means that there's a role to play as players as well. There's very bad takes from the community where people take their ignorant comments as gospel. And there's very bad opportunities that was missed by the Bungie team. So both parts needs work.
I understand their management on resources suck, they need to be a bit more creative, then doing a lot of fixes which is adding on their workloads is pretty stressful and financially destabilizing. But I hope they get the grasp of the situation and know the tasks and solutions.
As for the community, it's us as players that should stop being toxic and ignorant which solves nothing but cause more confusion and ignorance.its our job to tell Bungie what to do and what to fix and what to prioritize. Bungie admitted to being scared for taking risks, and we made them realize that taking risks is fine. Bungie wants us as players to enjoy the game, and the player community wants Bungie to enjoy their creation.
Stop with the hate and be more logical with how to give Bungie the direction they need. Because we all know damn well, no other gaming company does this.
Not listening to feedback and doing nothing in regards to feedback are consequentially the same.
D2 year 1 was the reason they cut the PvP team. They were the ones behind slower abilities, no random rolls, double primary, and almost everything that people hated about the game(the main PvE complaints were also rooted in needing to make sure these newly nerfed guarfians could actually complete the content making it too simple as a result
Im pretty sure bungie executives are getting paid more than what they deserve... they have budget. how many crazy lunatics buy sht in their silver store. .
We had lunas howl and not forgotten with rank based matchmaking in the past. Those were the glory days. 4 v 4, took skill. Noobs got mad, and also the important people in the pvp team left the game cause they didn't like that bungie started going in a more chaotic and noob direction. So, now we have this crap that we currently have. Hell, even checkmate was amazing for 2 weeks but the noobs complained and now 140 rpm hcs are useless. All ppl use now is igneous and ammit in checkmate. I'm sick of the trash players having the most say in this game
I'm in the minority and only play pvp to upgrade my gear. To many weapons get nerfed because a few content creators get out played in pvp, then they make three videos how the game is trash.
You need to get out of the mind set of blaming content creators for something getting nerfed when bungie only use their own data to make changes.
That data is influenced by streamers showcasing metas. Which in turn drives more players to opt those loadouts and hence leads to nerfs based on player engagement. So yes content creators do have some part in how guns get nerfed. Not saying that ONLY content creators are responsible for nerfs but they do hold some responsibility.
@@obnoxiouskami8692 meta is meta. You don't need to be told what's good when it kills you all the time.
@@SkinUpMonkey I wonder how word spreads about the meta 🤔
@@obnoxiouskami8692 same way we did before youtube and streaming was a thing.
The only update needed is to put all exotics in the engram pool and rotate seasons I want the real prison of elders bk
bro wtf everything i do is for crucible all the pve farming i do is for PVP ONLY DID RON FOR EXOTIC SHOTGUN ... FOR PVP
look I’d rather have all story mission all dialogue day 1 in a new season then that way makes it feels like a mini expansion plus you can actually keep track on the story. Yes I’m aware you can just not play one of your characters and play it all when all the story comes out but I do think that seasonal model would thrive more if it was day 1 6-8 missions of story all cutscenes instead of this constant drip feed of story I think this would be healthy change to the game. Crucible getting some maps ain’t gonna do nothing-plus let’s be honest last two new maps they added vex map and disjunction are unplayable in competitive setting or even in casual quick play
Counterpoint, just wait 7 weeks before you start a season. That way everything or almost everything will be available with no timegate. You then have 5-7 weeks to complete it. And a further 7 weeks to do other things like other games. I won't say it's the best method. But I actually like the weekly resets. I have something to do each weekend(I work full time) and get something new each and every week, be that seasonal updates, raid/master/GM nightfall, holiday events, etc.
@@billykann7725 I work full time aswell I’d rather have all of it than forget the story I don’t want to play 8 weeks later all my mates will spoil it 😂😂
@@polosolo3040however if everything was available day 1 the spoiler issue would be worse. As anyone who cannot complete everything day 1 will be spoiled

Please if you truly care about not just destiny but the gaming landscape as a whole we need to stand together and demand more from these lazy developers they are ruining this art form and hobby for millions of people..
Halo shows you can do both pve and pvp
Destiny pvp’ers are like wives that get beaten and won’t leave 😂
kinda late on the topic fam, not to mention that this just looks cut off from a live stream
All of these are - that’s how all of his clips are. You’re a bit late to the party, buddy.
lolz nah its lazy content imo@@nicholascazmay2126
Literally has clip in the channel name and even has comment linking the full video. Amazing how you missed both.
lazy content my guy
Don't forget that Bungie had Halo pvp and pve and they made it work really well so saying that is hard to make pvp and pve with the advanced technology I call it BS....
So the original Bungie studio was able to put a great product with pvp and pve says alot about the BUNGIE of today which this BUNGIE can't accomplish the same... give me a break brother, BS..... Is all about the money 💰 and that's it..... where the old BUNGIE was all about the player experience. ......
I think people misunderstood joe. There is a pvp team. Not the main team that had been working d2 crucible but a team. The strike teams are extra hands with extra green light privilege's. They are not a "replacement team" this is evident cause he explained they made a strike team for post curse of osiris for loot
Daily reminder...Warframe is a year older than Destiny is, but sure, no other live service something something. 🙄
Also, I'm real tired of this attitude that just because Destiny does FPS PvE/PvP hybrid...that's somehow that's a GOOD thing. It's not. Other daily reminder...you can't have a loot based progression game AND fair & balanced PvP, without a massive ton of conflicting differences between the two. Bungie is determined to cram a square peg in a round hole, and even after 10 years, they have made barely a dent in truly balancing anything.
I respect Destiny's PvP community, but that said...the fact it's both PvE and PvP has done more to hurt this game than help it.
Warframe is never trending cope harder kid lol
@@lazyvoid7107 It does sometimes, actually. If Destiny hadn't reissued OP weapons with shiny extra-perk FOMO editions, which is a wildly hollow reason to come back, their steam count would be half of Warframe's, which it had been for months following their last few updates.
Players will spike again for Pantheon. And again for TFS. And again for the raid. And drop like a rock.
You cope, bud.
@@lazyvoid7107 Also, I can only imagine how old you are if you're calling people you don't know on social media "kid." You apparently see my posts on Twitter, yet haven't visited my bio to see how actually old I am. Rookie mistake.
inb4 "ha loooooooool old man getting mad at vidya gaemz, loooooool." I'll be waiting, Guardian. Eyes up.
Sorry you can't compair pvp to BR games. The closest game I can think of is halo oh wait who made that again.
