My bet is that voice is the traveler. We know the traveler has a "mind" or will, and has made contact with us most notably in the red war visions, but also the traveler SPOKE to Rhulk in a lore tab.
And when we got our new supers in forsaken.

I think I am still the only person who has said the unknown voice in the traveler sounds like a version of Sagira, a Sagira without her wit/peppiness. If the inside of the traveler is supposed to be some sort of guardian graveyard/afterlife, then it absolutely makes sense and gives credence to the idea that Sagira would be there and sound a little more sullen or defeated since she's been away from the people she knew for a while now and probably thinking the worst since she isn't able to see outside or know what is actually going on in realspace.
(I know its just a shot in the dark, excited to see the actual reveal!)
I predict that after we whoop the witness. The gardener/traveler "rewards"us by re- resurrecting any and all the guardians. Maybe even the the bad guys.
About the mysterious woman's voice: the speech came to us over our ghost comm. So either it's an entity to possess enough paracausal power to control our ghost, or its simply a new character talking to us over ghost radio
The witness is notorious for communicating through our ghost. No doubt it’s a precursor exclusive ability
@@ikumquats6579 that's true. Though in the recently released collectors lore, the precursor factions that joined into the Witness described the being itself as a "foreign thought entity" almost as though it's something from the Gardener or Winnower themselves.
@@jacobo.6744 Makes sense. I think it’s either the gardener (traveler) or RS. I’m partial to believing most of the unveiling lore book, especially the first section about the “game”. I have a feeling it’s the traveler but I would love for it to be RS. Would be an insane story if true

I think it would be a cool twist if we found out that last precursor was the speaker, hence the masked appearance
I don’t think that voice is the traveler. In Mexico and latin America Bungie has always address the traveler as EL VIAJERO. a male character
That’s just how Spanish grammar is. Spanish articles vary, depending on the word. “traveler” just so happens to use “el” which is a masculine definite article.
That Voice already spoke to Us back in Beyond Light DLC during the fight with Eramis. When Eramis froze our Character there was a voice that said "look within focus your power".
Pretty sure that was just us remembering something Elsie told us about how to use Stasis.

the story is seriously laughable at this point. lightfall and putting the game on pc were some of the worst decisions ever made by anyone in history. they’ve made everything so tiny and ridiculous.
