just the review i needed to decide between this and the Evox 12. Im sold on these
to each their own. I've used point source speakers for a long time, all kinds, from qsc down to american audio, which is what I started out with. I have always received compliments about how good a dj I was, but never how good the music sounded until the 44g2. over the years I have learned that the audience really appreciates great sound quality over sheer loudness. I'm never going back to point source...as far as mobile dj'ing goes.
Same here column array for life, but with a pair of Turbosound IP 2000’s and a pair of IP 1000’s
Great Review! Just bought one and can't wait til it arrives. Outro was nice touch!
Hi Paul, Marc from kent (Had your focus spots) Great review mate. Better than any other one out there for these. I've been tracking them since you said you were using them as I'm going to go column next year. Keep up the great reviews.
Just ordered 2 of them in white. Cant wait get to get them 🙌🙌
Great speakers, did 1 gig with them, still I think after factoring in size, weight, look, dispersion and setup options the Bose Pro 32 inches the 44 out pound for pound. Slightly different price but not insane.
The 44 is a great unit all the same
I didn’t like the movement in the column with the Bose. It’s pretty wobbly. I like that this can take a hit from a drunken bridesmaid and still keep bouncing 🥳🥳😂😂
I know I am a year late but do you think the Bose system is still good? I currently own Also TS415 speakers for all of my gigs, without a sub, but am looking to get an easier to set up powerful array system instead and am torn between the Bose L1 Pro 16/32 and the Maui 28G3/44G2
@@DJMarcusGrant absolutely
This is fantastic, man! Thanks.
Great video, thorough and helpful 👍
great review and editing..congratulations
Well done video mate! Keep em coming!
Excellent video! Looking forward to more videos from your channel. 👊🏼
Hopefully a review on the New LD systems DAve G4X and the new Humpter DJ booth coming soon.
Saweet bruva! Nice review.
Have u had any venues with low ceilings and they have fitted ? Cause they do look tall . I Do like mauis , was considering the maui 28s but i like the fact that these have a 15 and are more powerful
Like your vibe man! Great video! I'm like you...the rig needs to have capability to handle low end.
Nice Review. Well Done. Thanks
Great video
Nice review dude. Would love to see these in white
I saw they actually made a one off pink version for a special occasion. I’ve personally moved away from the white look at weddings and am preferring the black look. But there would be a market for them in white for sure.
Where donyou set your volumes at the back of the unit. Im trying to find the sweet spot for a balanced sound.
Would I need to connect my mixer to just one of the systems and it would Bluetooth to the second unit?
hey my friend the video was good but you forgot to mentioned those sexy lighting and poles you have in the back ground where those came from.
Excellent video the fact that you spin jungle is interesting. Curious how you beat match EDM without monitors? I'm assuming you have a more extensive setup when mixing EDM? I would love to see a video on that!
Sorry for the slow reply dude. You know what. I've got so used to mixing without monitors I think I actually prefer without. I came from the vinyl days of listening to my mixes but now its so simple with visual waveforms on the decks. Its like having ears in your eyes lol.
And I love that table that stages your controller, which one is that?
I Think is a Denon Prime 4
The DJ console is from a company called Humpter. This one is the move. It’s pretty decent. I bought it for smaller outside events but it looks smart and is so simple I use it a lot. They do loads of other great ones which I plan on getting. I’ll do a short video for this one
Yes controllers a prime 4. Epic piece of equipment
I foll in love with this speakers. But the price is so high
Hi. How different are the top speakers to the top speakers of the 28 G2? Thanks
How is this compared to the jbl PRX one?
I haven’t used the JBL so can’t compare I’m afraid
Hi mate. Fantastic video. Very helpful! I’m buying two sets this week and intend to use a separate mixer. Can you advise set up/levels etc for each speaker? In your experience, what’s the best set up? Thanks again 👍👍
Great video they are awesome speakers. What else is awesome is your DJ table. Who makes the DJ table Paul?
Lou
Hi Lou. It’s by a polish brand called Humpter. This model is the MOVE BL
It’s awesome
This or the RFC EVOX 12?
Can you link the your DJ Table/Booth?
Can I have some info in your dj booth, I like the look of it.
Review coming soon
Great video!!! looking forward for more content! quick qustion...are you happy with denon ...no crashes and etc?
Thanks man.
The prime 4 has been a game changer for me doing mostly weddings. I’m a 1210 guy but moved to controllers for weddings. Started pioneer RX1 then RX2 then to the prime 4. I hate having a laptop for DJing so wanted full laptop free.
It’s amazing and always being upgraded. It’s made my mixing and DJing more creative and I wouldn’t look back to pioneer ever again.
I’ve had a couple of glitches over the three years I’ve had it but all minor. Regularly has to handle 6-7 hour DJ sets, whilst recording, and streaming from Tidal. I actually use the Evermix box for recording my sets as the internal record won’t allow you to record whilst streaming.
I’ll probably do a review on that as well.
I’ve got a list 😂😂😂
@@theweddingspinner7340 perfect. Thanks for this reply. I’m going for rx3….still afraid of denon somehow….anyway I’m glad as you get back to me…and sorry for few months delay ;)
I use 2 x JBL 310 Partybox. Easy to move around and have a clear sound with deep bass. Might ugrade now to JBL 1000 Partybox. Thoughts ?
the wireless feature only works with bluetooth. not with xlr connection sadly lol
That is very interesting. I never actually use it as I’m always just plugging into my controller or a single Bluetooth output. I’m gonna check that out.. cheers
Great Video presentation. I use the EV Evolve 50s for small to what I call medium size gigs under 150 or maybe 200. I have 2 18 inch subs and 2 12 tops for larger events over 200. I find myself considering trading the larger set up for the Bose F1 set up. Mainly due to not needing nor wanting to haul the 18s around. How would you compare this to the Bose F1 and 812 setup.
The bose systems clip very easy. Better than maui you have HK
@@pedrocarlossilva I have never experienced my 16s clipping too early. You must not be adjusting them, right.
Can one do a job as believe it can take L & R inputs surely one be powerful for 150 max
I used one side through my booth and use as a monitor and for a bit of bass reinforcement when I’m playing at a venue that has an in house system I can plug into. So yes. It has a left and a right input so you can plug straight into a single unit.
Going to depend on the room size and shape if one would cover 150 people. But I’d say yes. Easily
Great video, Table is too short though. 41" is the ideal height for most people.
Tbh it’s pretty good. Personally yes I would take it a bit higher if I could as I’m 2m tall. My custom build deck station height at home is much higher.
But I do regularly play 6 hours straight on this table and it works great.
What table is that btw?
I live in Cambodia country I every love speaker LD but how I want to buy
So how would these hold up for a high school prom?
That would depend on how many people were at that prom and the type of room and conditions.
We don’t really do so many proms over here. In fact I pretty much only do weddings these days
What table is that?
Humpter move DJ booth. Polish company. Review coming soon
Would you please share where I can buy the cover of speakers. I bought the same model two months ago without covers and I wouldn’t want them to scratch or destroy fast as I move from place to place often. Thanks
Hi. I would probably try and contact your local ld supplier in your area and see what the delivery times are. The covers are a must
Can this unit be used with just one of the columns as I am aware of countless venues where the ceiling would be too low to accommodate this. If not, that's a huge drawback of this system.
You know what. I have no idea. I’m going to guess at no as the speakers are different angles in different sections for dispersion. I’ve had marquee tent hanging on it but I’d be struggling to fit myself in a venue if I couldn’t get these in 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Nick, it is possible to use the subs alone, without column. But it is not possible to use the column without placing it on a subwoofer.
@@karldouap6482 That's not what I asked
@@njdenney69 ok, sorry i tried to help 😂 What is your question then?
@@karldouap6482 He's asking if you can use one instead of two columns per speaker to keep the height lower🙂
Could you share the type of Table you have?
Company is Humpter model is BL but it's short at 36" height
WELL PLAYED ...NEXT TIME USE THE AUDIO FROM THE SPEAKERS FOR THE TEST...CANT TELL HOW THEY SOUND CAUSE YOU USED INTEGRATED SOUND FROM YOUR LAPTOP
Yeh we kinda did that on purpose as you are never gonna hear the sound quality of the speakers when it’s being played out of an iPhone speaker. It just doesn’t work.
SORRY .NICE Systems but not worth the price, , the small speaker are Car speaker they have FOAM around the cone. The FOAM will deterioate in 4 to 5 year may be early then you spend money to replace them or get repaired. LD should look at their competitors drivers.
Absolutely pointless speaker ...the idea of a colum array is that is portable and easy to set up for small to mid sized venues like the Evolve or the better maui g2 28 and i get it ....these are portable systems and easy to transport and set up systems yours is the big brother to the 28 g2 but yet its not as portable or easy to transport ...so must be compared to tops n bottoms and i have tried and tested and these do not sound as good or as loud as say a old QSC k12 or a yhamaha Dsr 12 with small sub and its 4x the price so its just a over hyped system by you tubers.... My system blows it away for a fraction of the price
Hi Byrom. You can’t compare the setup time and portability of the 44 g2 to a standard sub and top combo.
That is two big speakers you can’t move in one go. Poles, cables, cable ties to tidy the cables, more cable.
This is one power and one xlr at floor level so no having to tidy cables. I hated that. A column array looks better in my opinion so why the hell not beef one up so it’s capable of more depth.
For me this is a perfect system.
Column arrays shouldn’t just be small tinny sounding things that old men can lift. There should be ones that deliver something more and do have some weight to them. Half of the other column speakers on the market have the column blowing in the wind they are so flimsy
Totally wrong. These are loud, punchy, great bass. I use with full on rock band for easily 500 people in clubs with all instruments going through these. The sound is crisp, clear and before with regular speakers sound was too loud for front and not loud in back...now it is even and zero complaints and 100s of compliments on our sound. Yes these are amazing speakers and highly recommended 👌 for any band and dj looking for hi fi sound and a best in class for these arrays period!
@@fullcircle6029 They aint an array speaker - that is something different and they are not a potable colum speaker either because they aint that potable and it is many times more times as expensive as my PA system and does not sound as loud or as good ....you wannna bet me? I will take your money man. They might be ok sounding and may do 500 but they are better systems out there for a lot less money and these dont seem that roadworthy to me for a band they would be ok - providing you dont gig anywhere with a low roof on stage ....Its a flawed product in my mind for that reason also .
@@byromtaylor6482 ok...hmm.. you must work for another organization to hate these speakers so much. I love mine and have friends that bought and love theirs and the advantages of how they work better over our old speakers ( probably same as one you are pushing) is worth every penny and love these speakers. Thanks for.your info but agree to disagree
@@fullcircle6029 No I am a pro singer and DJ and am not sold out like these online You tubers that get them free for marketing I say it as it is - I have nothing against the company and get the concept of column speakers like the smaller G2 ones they do and I like the more stylish curved ones for the home - but I wont blow smoke up anyones arse because the companies dont get it right next time they make a product - eg evolve 50M which is not a upgrade. I told you why they are flawed and everything I said is my honest unbiased opinion. I think they are too big not roadworthy they are too tall too expensive the warrenty is not long enough they are too expensive and they are not as loud and do not sound as good as what I already have. I already offered to bet you which was a bit silly - I am glad you like them and hopfully you never get on a stage with a low ceiling but these are not really portable enough to be a column speaker and not really good enough to replace a good set of tops n bottoms and - They are flawed for the reasons I mentioned (too tall n not roadworthy enough for bands) ...there size makes them not really portable enough to be classed a 'portable' colum speaker too sadly. So for me they have not got this product right yet. I would improve them in various ways. Not that companies or product developers listen to people who actually use them.
