Just bought 2 used Maui 5 Go original versions. Just did a wedding ceremony with them...Absolutely fabulous. Reception was outdoors with a bigger system, got rained out so quickly moved inside the wedding barn, finished the reception with the 2 Mauis on battery. Love them.

I have some Maui 5 Gos and I am amazed at the sound for how light they are! If you’re a mobile, I recommend getting a few sandbags to steady them for when you set up on grass on windy day or if you’re afraid they’ll get bumped into by someone so they don’t fall over.

I've just done a bit of a stress test on one of my Maui 5 GOs and gosh does it pack a punch for its compact size and weight! Two of these as a stereo pair is fantastic. It does indeed lack some high end sparkle but there's still plenty of high end and an external mixer with improved preamps and eq will really make these shine.

I've had many boom boxes, partybox, tested the mackie thump go and... This speaker is my favorite because no need to have stands and it is loud enough, It do its job!
Only one regret, it drivers roll of around 12khz so I added a 1 inch tweeter with a 3.3 uF 100v cap under the first driver, drastically improved the clarity!!!
It cost me 20 dollars for the tweeter and it's a freaking simple to do. 20 minutes for the whole process.
For the size weight price it is a really good product.
Adding a Subwoofer I play outdoor pretty loud for 20-30 people

I've got 2 of the Maui 5 GO speakers (a regular Maui 5 GO and a Maui 5 GO 100.) I really love that you can daisy chain 2 of them together for stereo operation or even more speakers for when a bigger sound and more volume is needed. I do wish that there was at least one extra mic input and a basic built in reverb/delay/echo for the mic, instrument and line inputs. Other than that, they sound fabulous for their ultra compact size and I got a lot of compliments just using one of these speakers at a party of about 80 people.

Owning both a regular Maui 5 GO and Maui 5 GO 100, I can now confirm that they're both identical to each other with the exception that the regular GO has a larger 5200 capacity battery and the GO 100 has a smaller 3200 capacity battery. All other specifications and dimensions are identical. The 2 different batteries are fully interchangeable and I've charged my larger 5200 battery on the GO 100. Interestingly enough, the regular Maui 5 GO is now very scarce in Australia whilst the Maui 5 GO 100 is easily accessible. The larger battery is also impossible to come by and they're even regarded as a dangerous good for postage, unlike the smaller battery!

I just got one of these. Gotta get you, I’m a bit underwhelmed. The sound seems flat and it’s hard to achieve decent gains. I’m running my sound through a Yamaha MG7X mixer and have to turn up all the gains past 3:00 just to get decent sound.

We are all entitled to our opinions right? Problem is, there are so many variables here that are unknown and we’re talking about a battery powered Column array system that’s under $1000 - not sure what your expectations were but from our experience it was not underwhelming by any means. We have to respectfully disagree w u.

@@JoeS795 if you're comparing this ultra compact line array PA system with something like a JBL Eon One Mark 2 or an EV Evolve 30M, then of course you'll be underwhelmed. It's certainly not in the same league but then again, it's not supposed to be with its ultra light and compact dimensions. I have an Evolve 30M that leaves the Maui 5 GO for dead, but it's twice as heavy and a much larger more capable system that isn't battery powered.
