For card/character synergies, I think it's worth noting Cannonball also works well with Professor X. Cards can't move into Professor X's location, whether it's full or not, so he can help set up a situation for Cannonball to destroy another card
All I need now is Karma for my full OG New Mutants deck. Something I like about Sunspot and Cannonball is how much of a bromance they have, but in my head canon , similar to Logan, Scott, & Jean, Roberto, Sam, & Izzy are in a throuple as well.
I didn't make the connection until your backstory that him leaving rocks behind harkens back to his mining background, which is cool! Really hope they go back to having him leave behind a rock after moving the opponent too, like the original data mine.
I remember reading an X-Force comic when I was a kid and being blown away by his character. I also remember being disappointed with his figure back in the day because he had no jet blast lol. He came with like a catapult 😂

Then she came back, got shunted off for 11 years finding her siblings, found them, came out, continued that tradition of being one of the girls Kitty stands up and is usually one of the cooler heads on a team. The closest she had to a commanding role would probably be in the Shadow King side of Vita Ayala’s new mutant run. That’s a great book. Her name was also changed a little to be more authentically Vietnamese; Xuan.

I really appreciate the reading recommendations. Didn’t care much for Pixie strikes back, but I loved Hawkeye and Mockingbird (was not expecting Crossfire to be treated with that much gravitas seeing as I was introduced to the character in the 2015 Ant-man book). Excited for more😊

I used to use something similar with Jean Grey & Juggernaut, play Jean first then Juggy (or Cannonball) if you like.

One of my favorite issues as a teen was uncanny x-men 341 where Sam goes toe to toe with Gladiator. Lots of great art from Joe Madureira in that one.
I feel the need to mention that Gladiator wasn't in the best headspace there and cause his confidence was lower, his power levels were weakened.
