      Yeah. I like this. I did find another guy who did the clones with Contrast paints, and I'll be trying his method when I can finally get around to painting my remaining Imperial units. I look forward to Sorastro's clone video, too. I always pick up a ton of hints from his stuff.

    Sorastro you are a genius. You have solved the tidemark issue with contrast paints on flat surfaces using the contrast medium. There’s a chance now I might actually finish painting models. As always your videos are very informative and brilliantly produced. I think this will be a great way to introduce my daughter into the hobby, yet still produce amazing results.

      Would painting clones video be necessary? Between the stormtroopers' white armour and the Battle Droids' colour insignia he has pretty much already shown us how to paint the clones. Maybe if wants to show off the contrast paints he can do Obi-Wan's armour differently or maybe do them last.

    I primed with spray cans black and then white for the zenithal...this left a lot of really dark areas where I can hardly tell that the contrast paint is even there...any recommendations?

    As always they look great. Thanks for the tip for tidying up the flat surfaces with medium. I am also curious how come the contrast paints actually made the droids look metallic, even though you didn't use any metallic paint.

    • @Sorastro
      @Sorastro  5 років тому

      Thanks a lot! I think the zenithal highlights help with that to an extent by simply boosting the contrast, plus the metallic chips/edge highlights.. :)

    How to make the second most hated new characters look good! Do you think they will realise a Jar Jar Binks commander booster pack? Lol Roger, Roger. Really impressed with your use of the contrast paints. I’ve had nothing but fails with them. What paints would you use if you weren’t using contrast paints! Brilliant paint job sir. Wonderful channel.

    Hi just wanted to ask if I can use any white basecoat? Wraithbone is very hard to find in my country so I'm thinking about using Vallejo BASIC PRIMER SPRAY but I'm worried that color is not gonna look nice. :
