Hope you enjoyed this little journey, would love to hear what we could add in part two down below, let me know in the comments and thanks for all the support over the years as usual gang!
I would love to see a part two about insulating and cooling the loft, your AVR and projector won't be too happy up there as it is currently. Nicely done!
Totally disagree with you, first of all he moved multiple times, second if you have a hobby you try to improve it🤷 i totally relate with Alex because I struggle with this topic since I was 13-14(I’m 30 now)
Glad youre well mate, used to watch back when you were fitting internet dishes, buying your first house, gaming in the office spaces' loft, buying a BMW, back at your dads with the set up along the wall. Wow, time waits for no man.
the whole setup you've got there looks absolutely great but about the heat in your loft with the equipment surely you need some sort of ventilation so things don't overheat that you've got up there
Hey Alex. I have been watching your videos since I was preparing to become a father and now my son is 7 years old. I still glide over videos on the build up to buying your first house right up until you got the keys and you were working on your first house. I’m a week away from buying my own first house after watching all those videos for inspiration.
Been watching your videos for years and great to see the audio stuff you have shared over the years. I have a passion for high end audio and like seeing your gear but I don’t recommend people to use different cabling. Mains cable is for high voltage equipment and speaker wire connects low voltage speakers. Better for your ears and better for equipment.
Being a home theatre enthusiast myself ,I enjoyed that video ! 1st time ive seen someone use a short throw from above aswell . Couple of observations not criticism but place this atmos at the corner of your screen on the ceiling pointing down . They are much more effective. And try and timber match the front 3 left, right and centre when you get it ! Look forward to seeing more been a while since I seen one of your vids. UA-cam algorithm home cinema reminded me of you 😂
Yo Alex! I haven’t watched a video in quite some time and I’ve gotta say, I’m so happy to be back. I’ve been a subscriber for a good while now; I remember watching the videos from inside your old bed room with the slanted ceiling! Hope you’re still doing well, bro!
It looks good, but I'm concerned about how the electronics will survive the excessive heat while positioned in the loft. The hole in the ceiling for the projector needs finished edges and probably some caulking.
Great job man! Wished I was that handy haha. Maybe put some trim then paint the room black or a dark grey with some panels up there. Looking forward to the next video.
he could install a fan in the attic like a whole house fan but yeah the projector and other components will have to be replaced in the next few months due to overheating issues
I’ve got the Hisense UST and the instructions were quite adamant about ventilation etc. love the idea as it’s a bit of a nuisance having the projector away from the wall, but I’d worry the heat up there will kill it.
My AWOL sits 3 inches off the floor behind the center channel speaker, completely hidden. Nice job on the ceiling mount. I’d highly recommend moving the speakers farther off the wall behind them and install some sound panels, I hear some echo going on.
If you say your loft is so hot don’t put your AVR there as it will start to overheat and the power protection will kick in, get some cooling fans for it, also don’t use up firing for your Atmos use elevation or ceiling mounted speakers upfiring speakers don’t work.,
About that cables i agree with you you need to have best hearing to make any different by sound quality so use what you want its still your stuffs and its your ears who are the one who deside :D thanks for this video i like this alot
Could have used Klipsch Reference Premiere line of speakers, much higher quality sound than the speakers you used in this setup. Also a SVS subwoofer would've given you much higher quality bass than the Klipsch subwoofer. Klipsch does sell in-wall speakers if you truly want to achieve that hidden look.
One thing I have been curious about is the sound quality, no the audio cables does not improve the sound quality but it improves the transmission of the sound from input to output to your ears, same thing with HDMI cables that improves the quality of transmission of your video going to a screen.
this might sound like a really stupid question but how are you going to keep the project to cool as you said it was boiling in your loft surely the projector would eventually overheat
Nice set up, but I would of had 1 hole Centre under screen just above skirting, and the had the cables hidden inside some decorative trunking that way if you ever change or remove set up to something else you haven't got holes in the wall on show.
If clean installation was your goal, then dude you needed some in wall and in ceiling speakers and a bigger tv (wall mounted) with a neat clean looking cabinet for your avr/gaming consoles etc. I see youve done a 2.1.2 system.. Would have looked cleaner with 2 in wall and 2 in ceiling speakers.
Overall i say well done, very nice, however, in the world of UA-cam home cinima, its by far not the cleanest, and a sound bar with a pair of satellites does NOT basically give you the same result, also, why not install in ceiling atmos speakers? They are far superior, and you have the access, space and ability, i dont think short throw ALR screens are acoustic transparent, so did you just eliminate the center channel? Does your equipment in the attic not overheat in the summer?
please for the love of god screw that switch plate back and as to the wire you're using for the speakers it makes no difference unless your running a 10k macintosh amp
Projectors give off a ton of heat and you put it in the hot attic? Not the best place for all your electronics in the attic. Surprised you don’t have more issues with your network.
Hope you enjoyed this little journey, would love to hear what we could add in part two down below, let me know in the comments and thanks for all the support over the years as usual gang!
Yes definitely I think you should come back to do daily or weekly or even twice weekly vlogs to keep the local UA-camrs going
Ideas - making it more smart home friendly. Cinema seating.
Alex I’m an old fan I been trying to message u on snap or insta for like a couple of years but u haven’t had the chance to see my messages

wheres upload
Used to watch this channel years ago, suddenly remembered he existed and sure enough he's STILL doing fucking Cinema videos. Good lord...
Came here for the same reason when I watched him he was always making ultimate gaming setups 😂
Totally disagree with you, first of all he moved multiple times, second if you have a hobby you try to improve it🤷 i totally relate with Alex because I struggle with this topic since I was 13-14(I’m 30 now)
Same situation here😂

Could be an idea for a new video.
Been watching you for the past 8 ish years. I’m glad to see how far you’ve come bro 🙌
Hey Alex thank you for a new video !! Love the new cinema room !! 💜🔥
Nice vid see you lot in another 10 months
When you coming back to daily or weekly or twice weekly vloging , we do miss them and it keeps the local UA-camrs going
Excellent setup i like the way you think want to do this so lets get going.
Well done Alex.

That's a lot of heat for the equipment to deal with
Will the receiver not overheat because it is in the attic.
Shouting you from all the way in Barbados lol
Loved the GTA insert
Bro been watching u since the beginning man and I love your content bro. Love to see ur growth bro!
Love the transitions. Very creative

Nice setup the wall has some Kraks on it
being a long time fan, how long will this project last? ive never seen you use a project twice
looks great
1:52 that is creative! well done
Fantastic video Alex! Looking forward to the next part! 😁

Hope you’re still doing well, bro!
The amount of times alex has done a cinema tv video ive lost count now. 😅
At least paint the room dark grey or black so it looks like a real home cinema, It will make the hole in the roof invisable.
ngl should add the Wood Sound Panels behind the screen. might help with audio and gives it a clean look but makes me what to do this my self
It looks good, but I'm concerned about how the electronics will survive the excessive heat while positioned in the loft. The hole in the ceiling for the projector needs finished edges and probably some caulking.
How is projector and amp coaping with attic temp?
This looks ideal for destroying griefers on GTA 👌🏻 nice setup Alex!
The Sonance invisible speakers would fit this setup perfectly!
So clean!
Great job man! Wished I was that handy haha. Maybe put some trim then paint the room black or a dark grey with some panels up there. Looking forward to the next video.
Awesome set up but its got "overheating" written all over it, hope you can get some ventilation up there mate
Long time subscriber, still love the videos Alex, what do u have planned for the room😜 can't wait to see
your next step should be painting most of the walls black for even less light bounce
Yesss!
clicked so fast
The better way is install AV in garage as in the attic is to hot, or you can install AC in there
he could install a fan in the attic like a whole house fan but yeah the projector and other components will have to be replaced in the next few months due to overheating issues
I’ve got the Hisense UST and the instructions were quite adamant about ventilation etc.

bro, iv just realized iv been watching you since 2016

Thanks guys.
Does the heat in the loft affect the performance of the projector?
jheez this just popped up out of nowhere, last time I watched I think he was just moving out of his parents house
looks clean af! What is the input lag like when gaming?
If you say your loft is so hot don’t put your AVR there as it will start to overheat and the power protection will kick in, get some cooling fans for it, also don’t use up firing for your Atmos use elevation or ceiling mounted speakers upfiring speakers don’t work.,
Your house is mega mate fair play
About that cables i agree with you you need to have best hearing to make any different by sound quality so use what you want its still your stuffs and its your ears who are the one who deside :D
thanks for this video i like this alot
Should got the nice B&O wall speakers would all look slick
Looks good, needs some atmos ceiling speakers. The difference will blow you away
It will get very very warm in your loft buddy
buddy getting swole !!
Shout out to Barbados 🇧🇧 🇧🇧

Also a SVS subwoofer would've given you much higher quality bass than the Klipsch subwoofer. Klipsch does sell in-wall speakers if you truly want to achieve that hidden look.
RIP expensive projector. You said it yourself. Its insanely hot up in the attic. Projectors run hot. Not gonna work Alex.
Everytime you do something, its a setup upgrade :D You should rename your channel to Setup update only :D
One thing I have been curious about is the sound quality, no the audio cables does not improve the sound quality but it improves the transmission of the sound from input to output to your ears, same thing with HDMI cables that improves the quality of transmission of your video going to a screen.
The gta sound system CLEANNNN
Painting the ceiling black would definitely hide that hole better.
Hi Alex, can you tell me please, what speakers and subwoofer you got? Wich Atmos?
this might sound like a really stupid question but how are you going to keep the project to cool as you said it was boiling in your loft surely the projector would eventually overheat
Cleanest on UA-cam is a bit of a stretch 😅. Invisible or flush mount speakers, flush mount drop down screen, could be better 7/10 😜
Get the atmos speakers installed up close to the ceiling, you will get a much better experience than if you have them upfiring
Are all the consoles stored in the loft next to the amp now ?
You need acoustic treatment in that theater asap !! That’s my biggest suggestion for you the echos are horrible
Genuine joy whenever Alex uploads a video, ABSOLUTE GOAT 🐐
I’m considering a screen build soon, Is this pre bought or self built and can you provide info/URL so I can research please?
Nice set up, but I would of had 1 hole Centre under screen just above skirting, and the had the cables hidden inside some decorative trunking that way if you ever change or remove set up to something else you haven't got holes in the wall on show.
Ambient Light Rejection (not reduction)

love the vids
Put some white plastic angle around the hole you cut to neaten the edges up.
Am curious but is your home theater sound system calibrated with dirac live and are you doing anything about the sound reflections in the room ??
Tell us more about the projector and how it stands against other projectors
Good to see another upload from you
Thank you!
Cool build but guys choose Kef or Monitor Audio
Ambient Light Rejection*
Unless they changed it, but I guess it means the same thing. ;)
Hi Alex, what are the thin KEF wall speakers you have?
Cleanest 4k home cinema before GTA IV
Mor3 expensive equipment in loft spaces .... Not ideal putting it in the garage would have been safer temp wise
It will not overheat overthere?
Mount a white motorised shutter over it and you'll never know the projector was there
6:44 nightmare fuel
Where did you get the t shirt from ?
i use speakercable that are from silver not normal speaker cables that are from copper
as slap dash as ever
It's ok.. not the cleanest on youtube by any measure.
Should Install Control4 for Control of the Cinema and use one of the sleek halo remote with it 😉
Overall i say well done, very nice, however, in the world of UA-cam home cinima, its by far not the cleanest, and a sound bar with a pair of satellites does NOT basically give you the same result, also, why not install in ceiling atmos speakers? ok
Really hope you haven’t cut your trussed rafter out.
please for the love of god screw that switch plate back and as to the wire you're using for the speakers it makes no difference unless your running a 10k macintosh amp
Get a microphone please
while it is neat, need to figure out a way to seal the projector around it so it doesnt let the attic heat in.
why not just get a big tv? i dont see the point in the projector
Nobody wants a tv all of the time
Projectors provide a more cinematic feel, and can be cheaper per inch.
@@ChrisHVACguy makes sense thanks
you should add leds around the tv and that connect to the tv
Looking skinny af man, well done with the weight loss journey!
Projectors give off a ton of heat and you put it in the hot attic? Not the best place for all your electronics in the attic. Surprised you don’t have more issues with your network.
yea the heat will eat the projector and amp real fast
he lives in the UK is always cold there HAHAHA
@@TyphoonTime Not always... my loft is always swelteringly hot all year round 😂
@@TyphoonTimehe literally was in his attic dripping sweat in this video.
@@TyphoonTime you didnt watch the video🙄
@10:55 drilling in a zone. Need to go careful.
Whats a zone?
@@MisterWealth Google electrical safe zones for a good explanation. Basically Alex ran the risk of hitting the ring main where he drilled that hole
0:35 wow I genuinely thought you were in Barbados
