I agree about all your point . I food that fell on the floor send it the pegs or add it saying we cleaned the floor with chemicals the last day.

Oh, how did our ancestors ever survive without vitamin and mineral supplements. How do animals in the wild ever survive without adding those supplements. I've fed my dogs "human" food for years without any supplements, and they've lived long, healthy, disease free lives.

Another great video! Actually I’ve ordered their fresh food a couple times in the past because my dog really liked it. I didn’t feed it on its own though, just in place of her canned food to mix things up. I never tried their “unkibble” stuff. Given that my dog has just reached senior age I probably won’t order it again since I’m sure the mineral content is completely off.

I believe AAFCO should drop the all life stage thing since it makes no sense.

Enjoyed the comments about your family. Iowa produces more corn than any other State. Much of it is used to feed Iowa's #1 product, pigs and pork products. After what happened with Amber's video yesterday, I am not going to say any more about pet food. LOL

@@PetFoodPuzzleGuy A couple of people got way off topic. Going after Amber about foods with feeding trials not being better than those without. Wound up about 40 comments. She finally deleted the entire thing. It was crazy. A couple of replies to my comment on marketing are still there. And they are the nicest ones.

@@PetFoodPuzzleGuy I was hoping you would join in. One person obviously had an agenda. A couple of comments were deleted by the viewer, but my responses are still there. I was trying to deflect some of the really negative comments, but they were not having it. I don't know Amber except for her videos. But I can't imagine a nicer person.

I tried. But you lost me with the take on feed vs food grade. Your example of walking out of the store and it becoming feed is correct
    But that is your actions
You can audit your own actions and know that you did not unintentionally or intentionally alter the food in some way that would effect its quality.
Having the FDA Food quality stamped on your food allows you to then know this is safe for you and your dog
If its FDA FEED labeled you cannot audit the actions of the company to ensure the quality of the ingredients or the actions taken will be the best possible option for your pet. The FEED food option is simply a short cut that the FDA allows for barn animals or animals meant for slaughter.
The idea that this is same food is ok for our pets that we pay thousands foe their vet bills and their housing and food is silly and a disservice.
These companies look at these shortcuts and loop holes as a way to maximize profits
This is why we have seen such a huge buy out by all these investment firms
You think these companies all of the sudden decided they loved animals and want the best for them?
It really turns into the question of
How much do you care for your dog?
Mine is my child and I would never feed my kid chicken meal or chicken By-product Meal

Companies don’t suddenly do anything. Most companies can be tracked to be able to tell what kj d if companies they are. I can look at their nutrient levels thru the years and know. Purina can and does make some really healthy diets. They also make some very unhealthy diets. And the gave the ability to know the difference. Same is true for Mars with Royal Canin. Some really good, some awful. Hills makes really great diets and no awful ones. They started owned and operated by vets so their origins are different than RC and Purina. The whole human grade/ feed grade is irrelevant. Simply show me the nutrient profile of a diet. Though I will consider their experience and expertise to a point. Sadly the mass industry protects itself talking about ingredients and such, anything but the nutrients delivered.
I agree our dogs are like our children. When my wife and I first married we got a Husky puppy, Cody. She was our first together so line our child. She was stolen from our yard and we did everything we could to find her. It’s been over 49 years and I can’t look at a husky without feeling the pain. I watch videos of pets United with their owners, how happy they are, and I am certain that’s what Cody wanted too. So no problem disagreeing with anything I say. I appreciate the input. But we can agree how special these creatures are to us.

@@PetFoodPuzzleGuy aww very well said man. I agree. I am just very passionate about canine health because we almost lost my boy and part of the issue was my laziness with my own knowledge and my “trust the profession” approach
Resulted in a very binary, linear approach with very little care or understanding of canine health.
So i dug my feet in, refused to give up on my boy
And figured out that he had a compromised immune system due to a protein allergy to chicken and legumes.
So most kibble grain free diets would basically put him on deaths door and the vet(s) basically told me that there was not much we could do
Without even considering his diet as being a possible contributor.
Or even the quality of said diet.
I learned that day and Veterinarian does not mean canine nutritionist.
To your comment, regarding these box store formulas.
They may have a couple good recipes, bur when you are processing kibble at such high temperatures how much of that recipe keeps its nutrients analysis?
      Or through the oxidation process
How are those nutrients holding up sitting in a bag on a shelf for 6 months.
The problem is the lack of care from the companies to deliver a quality over profit product.
I understand that if you are desperate
These foods are better than nothing, but to actively say this diet is better then a well balanced fresh food diet is not only wrong but misleading to people who take these options to heart.
Not trying to be a butt head, but i took these opinions to heart years ago and through that my 4 year old dog almost got put down simply because of a undiagnosed chicken allergy.
Now I am very cognitive on what he heats and what goes into his body
And we are doing 10+ miles a day and he has never been healthier.
I do appreciate your positive response and i hope i wasn’t too sassy, this is just something that is close to home!
Have a good day friend 😊

@@AmericanHuskyCash nothing makes a just happier than running. Cody used to run beside our car in the desert!
I think you need to realize vets are like human doctors. Some pop pills and push surgery. Others are more integrated and consider nutrition too. As I said to Jennifer on here, if fresh food is your approach and you commit yourself to it and finding a truly credentialed nutritionist, so for it. But Cans statements about one of the most effective, most proven, most researched therapeutic diet was absolutely wrong and disgusting. I am only thinking if the people he will mislead and most aren’t going to use his recipes. I can understand your doubting the vet profession with almost losing your dog to an allergy but another vet may have diagnosed that quickly, put your pup on a hydrolyzed diet, and your dog would have been fine. Your pup is blessed to have you! Obviously keep doing what your doing! If blood work gets elevated when he’s old and gray, consider nutrition science again!
