- Went out with Ed again and we had a great day despite the big bass staying home. It was a pretty sunny day and I think the fish were pretty shut down due to high atmospheric pressure. Love those bugle mouth bass! They fight hard and you don’t have to keep them when the grand kids come with.

Good variety. Carp are fun to fight, not so much to touch....lol. I saw that new storage system at work there, looks great.
Yes sir. I’ve got to get used to the box. I told Ed that I forgot my hooks and realized later that I labeled it terminal. 😂

Thank you so much! I’ve been helping to build a house for my niece and nephew. That was keeping me busy through the summer. Seems like every time I went out the fish gave me a big skunk on some of the times I wanted to make a video. Hopefully things will pick up and we can have a good ice season this year. Thanks again for chiming in, and I’m glad to be back!
Water is starting to cool down and I'm gearing up to catch carp, white suckers, redhorse, etc.. Time to do some pressure canning of fish!!! Carp patties!!! Great seeing you and Ed get out and catch some fish!!

What is your favorite method for getting the carp? Sounds interesting.
@@prospectoroutdoors Very light line in the many rivers around me, with a #8 wire hook and.... canned corn (whole kernel, cheapest you can find) on the hook and up the line a little. Super quiet presentation because they're smart fish!!
@yamati150 I will definitely give it a shot! I know that they are a very underrated fish to target.
@@prospectoroutdoors I've noticed a LOT of big carp on the Bighorn. I've seen big groups of them just downstream from the dam at Boysen, and several milling around in Thermopolis. Something to tussle with in the future. 😅😅

Deal! I love Carp. Cousin Ryan used to have a bumper sticker that said carp unlimited. I was always envious of that one.
