That isn't a spare flint hole by the way, I was curious about it and so wrote to zippo who informed me that it was to assist with lifting the felt, using a tool to pry it up (I usually use a small screwdriver although you can use the fuel nozzle to Pry it up).

Great vid for the beginners out there. Have you considered paint removal designs for Zippos? I wonder if it would be possible to take a matte black and remove the paint somehow, would look killer I think.

I made a mistake and put gasolin in my zippo (stupid mistake i know) and now its just smells like that despite the fact that i cleaned it , will it be ok ? Or do i need to change the whole thing ? I just bought it 🥲
Haha. I wouldn’t say it’s a mistake. Thats was the ww2 troops had to do. Take the insert out let it dry over night and just keep filling it with zippo fluid. After a couple months it will filter out. No big deals buds. Won’t ruin your zippo

Oh that’s easy. Soak a matte zippo in nail polish remover for 24 hours. Peels off like nothing.
