Wow, this certainly has that element of satisfaction to it. I got my first ever Zippo from my mom for Christmas, last year, 2021. And today, March ‘22, whilst sitting outside in the fading last days of Summer Sun, I really marveled at it. The craftsmanship surrounding your work is impeccable. Timeless. Magnificent. I never want to let it go. Thank you, Zippo! Thank you for becoming my finest attribute to come forth as a human being with a sense of authenticity. It won’t be the same without you.
This video is awesome! I always loved my dads zippos. When I was 10 years old, my parents got me a zippo slim to match my dads full size. I wasn’t allowed to leave the house with it. I am now 33 and have purchased a new zippo every year since. Great products that I’ll always hold near and dear to me.
Zippo is my favorite non-butane lighter. I sealed the fuel tank and fill mine with Everclear 190 Proof alcohol. The sealed fuel tank slows down the rate of evaporation. Using Everclear alcohol in my Zippo makes my cigars taste better🔥
The rhythmic metallic chiming of nerve-soothing medicinal bliss as only Zippo could produce. Still, Zippos greatest and the somewhat addicting lighter fluid smell is one of the products earliest memories for those of us who had zippo lighters long before the age and insult of disposable plastic lighters.
Wonderful sounds! The best lighters are, without a doubt, Zippo Lighters. I have this thing where I buy/collect atleast 1 new Zippo any new country and/or state I go to! I am currently stocking 23 Zippo lighters, and not one has dissapointed! :D I've had 3 stolen from me tho, but that just means that somebody else also got to enjoy them I guess... Almost all my Zippos are from Hard Rock Café/Casinos, so I can see where they are from individually :) Thank you for creating a world-class luxury lighter, @Zippo !

I WISH Zippo would do the Swap Meets again. No fancy side events needed, just a few tents! "Build it and they will come." I will gladly make the 500 mile drive.
My favorite from my collection is a sterling silver Zippo with the Masonic emblem found at an estate sale years ago. Only one I'll use to light up my cigars.
Ive lost my old zippo from my old ship more than several times since i joined the USN back in 85, but i never fail to find it again every time. Its dented, scratched, etc. Ive had the hinge fixed and the interior replaced both twice now, and it works better every time. Love zippos.
They do make a superb product & many of them are works of art. I should keep one for emergencies...power failures. Otherwise, I think they are pretty, but not for their intended purpose.
Have you been in touch with our Consumer Relations team about this? If not, we’d recommend giving them a call at 888-442-1932 or emailing them at cr@zippo.com.
I like the Zippo lighters and have one or two which need a pin put back on to keep it/them closed. I got them while in the Air Force and would love to get them sent back to the factory where they can be repaired. How can I go about getting them shipped to the company where the pins can be installed?
Sounds great Sidney. If you follow this link, you'll find all the information on getting your lighter repaired: www.zippo.com/pages/repairs-windproof-lighter
Why do modern Zippos dry out after 7 days? Used or not. I can fill a new one set it on a kitchen shelf. Come back 6 days later its dry. Not just mine. Seems to be product wide. Fixes? Suggestions for long term storage? { store fuel & lighter seperate i guess.] I heard of people saying coat the to halt in petroleum jelly to keep the base from evaporating or store it in a air tight zip lock bag. ®Hmm Maybe Zippo Should Make a Zip up Bag to airless storage like a space bag :)®
Zippo lighter fluid is a petroleum distillate, which means it will eventually evaporate even when not in use. There are a few things you can do to limit the evaporation, though. Make sure you keep the lid closed when you're not using the lighter, and keep it upright and away from heat or direct sunlight. Hope that helps!
@@zippo Thanks the description of the fluid helps. I bought the zippo. Filled it full, then put it back in its box and then on my shelf. 7 days later I pulled it out to show some friends and poof. Bone dry. So I won't be adding this to my back up fire starting and home preps.
If you're keeping your lighter on the shelf and not using it often, our best suggestion is to keep a little can of fluid with it. If you don't want a whole can, this should do the trick: www.zippo.com/products/fuel-canister
My opas 67 zippo serviced multiple combat tours in nam. He kept pictures from all the dead guys with aks and holes in their heads. They did village cleaning he has three bronze stars wish I could add photo but he was an officer during war n the government pushed him back to enlisted after nam. If you saw these pictures you’d understand why he became religious
Dear Zippo, Please don't tighten the flint screw too much. Just tight enough it's firmly locked in place but loose enough to be unscrewed with bare hands. PS: Sounds from the Zippo Clinic please ...
Okay Karin, you go ahead and tell ‘em how to do their job, yeah! Oh, yes, of course you’re entitled to it. I mean you practically have the majority of shares with your Zippo’s ownership, am I right?! Don’t answer that!! It’ll make you look stupid…
Sorry we took so long to reply. We asked our engineers and fell asleep while they were explaining the answer. Then we asked them to explain it as if they were explaining it to a five year old. This is what they said, "Since the insert contains moving parts and does most of the work of the lighter, it needs to be made of a durable material. Brass would be too soft an option for the insert. Instead, we use stainless steel, which is much more durable."

Still too expensive for me.
Huh???
Dave is right. We carry a lifetime guarantee, which means you only need one lighter.
everyone can afford a zippo! they start at around $10 depending where you are living
It's $10 and lasts forever. How many chinese lighters have you bought/thrown away ?
If the owner makes just 5 cents off each lighter he makes over 600000.00 a year you know he probably makes 10 times that wow

Ayeeeeee first
Why don't you use REAL brass inserts instead of brass colored steel inserts?
Cause stainless steel is better.
The inserts aren't brass coloured. Only some. And it's to stop them fusing together from corrosion.
