A lot of people don’t know about the explosive shielding for the power armor. Highly recommend using that if you plan to use power armor. It makes you basically immune to explosives. Frags, missiles, mines, and if your armor is upgraded enough, even mini nukes. Also Yao Guai roast is bugged and gives you 500% melee damage instead of 10. Elevators also kill you (collision also) 10. In survival if u take drugs you have to drink water (actual problem when u are in places where there are no clean water source) 11. Evade raiders at low level due to fear of molotovs 12. Elevators crash the game (more times than in loading screen) 13. Random encounter deathclaw, sentry bot or mr gutsy at low level 14. (In survival dogs at low level kill you or take your legs off) 15. Never go from survival to normal difficulty (normal raider becomes bullet sponge and you die even with power armor and legendary weapons) 16. Fear the mirelurk hatchling (can give infections and other illnesses) 18. Cant even play with human, humanoid or robot companions due to dependency on lone wanderer perk Edit 19. That melee vats bug is just unending frustration. I especially love it when I'm using blitz and that happens, so all it does is teleport me in front of the enemy and leave me standing there helpless and then I get obliterated. You would think with the presence of a skill specifically for melee vats, they wouldn't have left it so broken.
The absolute worst is when you are shooting from cover and your companion keeps pushing you off of your cover towards the enemies against your will, or when you are about to throw a Molotov on someone behind cover and your companion pops in front of you making you kill yourself by accident.
What I wouldn't give for a companion who doesn't run in front of the enemy despite having a ranged weapon or at least doesn't jump in front of me while I'm firing explosive bullets. That last one usually brings a rage-quit to the session.

I had a major one before. settlers stealing from workshop.... -.-
I took over covent by force, wiped them out and claimed it as my own
built the basics to get "totally new settlers in" and they started farming.
I was going around picking up all the items when a bag of fertilizer was marked as stealing.
in my haste i barely noticed i took it and the two "new" settlers whome joined here from the minutemen calling, somehow knew this was stealing.
instantly they both ran to my workshop took out a minigun and fatman launcher and before i realized what was going on one had fired the mini nuke killing us all.
over a bag of fertilizer.
the save reloaded to just before i started building....
""over a bag of fertilizer.""
All of these. Outpost Zimonja... by the time I hear the whistle, its already too late.
Is that the guaranteed quest fail for trying to remove raiders from the Outpost? I had that and it was my first and only quest failure out of hundreds of hours...
@@Koozwad Theres a raider chief in power armor with a fat man and I swear he can nail me behind cover at 1000 yards with that thing
@@3dartstudio007 you mean the first time you liberate the outpost? I don't remember having issues with that @ Zimonja, but I did much much later on get raiders attacking the(my) Outpost Zimonja and the game bugging out and being literally unable to save the settlement, resulting in a fail
when that happens, from memory there is one raider that is a raider and a settler at the same time, and either cannot be killed or gets killed and fails the quest(letting it time out also fails it)
Penny Fitzgerald was one of those moments in Fallout 4 where I couldn't tell if the game was glitching, or if the character was supposed to act that way for the sake of the narrative.
Synth behaviour
Happens when you beat the game before completing "Human Error." Covenant then opens up to anyone but everyone practically ignores you bar Deezer.
Whom I left alive and then banished to the Glowing Sea after freeing Stockton's daughter.
Sand bags popping like balloons to give you a heart attack
I think the most painful moment for me remains that time when I encountered Gunners and unbeknownst to me they have a dude with a fatman. The ungodly whistle of the incoming nuke and you know you'll have lost a good hour of play before the fact.
I encountered that in Lexington and Libertalia. The whistle of death and I’ve lost 10-20 minutes of gameplay.
@@mikoto7693 The Lexington Raider is indeed also a trickster, but he's one of very few dudes, and the only one in power armor. In my case, while he did suprirse me the first time, I did see him use the Fat Man. With the Gunners, I was already fighting several of them and then out of newhere comes that howling sound from a dude I didn't see, so thats why for me the Gunners hold the 1st spot XD.
It costs 1 Yao guai meat, 1 tato, and 1 carrot. You can do 200+ damage a strike with the ripper by doing this.
Doesn't the explosive shielding give 12% total (6 x 2%)?
@@meydintorkiapproximately 55% reduction according to somebody on Reddit.
@@creativeusername6748 wiki says 2% per piece
@@meydintorki The wiki does say that. I'm not sure if it's right or not.
The Reddit thread I mentioned is called: "[PSA] Explosive Shielding paint is AMAZING" (I don't want to link it b/c it might get flagged as spam).
I looked around more and saw someone on the steam forums claiming that it says 2% in the creation kit. Thread name: "Explosives in Survival mode"
Overall I'm not super satisfied with either answer. I'd like to test it myself if I can find the time.
I survived a suicider on very hard with about 2/3rds my health left once, being in t60e with explosive shielding.
You know what's painful? Getting killed by a static car when walking into it.
Lost 2 hours of survival run.
Picking a small item that is on top of another item and you pick that item instead of the small one
Super mutant suicider. The beeping puts me into a panic every time 😭
The fall damage is real lmao. I gave Piper the free fall legs so she wouldn't keep dying of fall damage... they apparently don't work on companions. Survival mode is so buggy compared to normal Fallout 4, it seems like. I wonder if the lack of fast travel has something to do with it.
I would say that but the amount of loading screening we get without fast traveling resets most environments
Doubt it, I never use fast travel in any Bethesda games unless I get stuck and don't usually have too many issues. Though, I never play with companions either. So I can't speak for bugs on that.
Yeah, Survival mode crashes so often that it's unbearable because you can't save.
Yeah, for me I get x3 more crashes in survival compared to normal fallout 4
It's buggier than the vanilla because Survival Mode has more scripts running at all times (Hunger, disease, etc) which bug out eventually
You missed the crashing every 45 minutes and then realizing all of your saves have corrupted and the game won't start.
disable cloud saves?
Yes, and might I add "Fast Travelling into the welcoming arms of a Mutant Behemoth". But I agree, worst of all is hearing that horrific whistle of a Mini Nuke coming your way...
yoooo i love to play survival in fallout 4 so here are some i love:
1. Vehicles kill you if you are toching them (collision)
2. Constant crashes in downtown boston (only in xbox one, so i recommend you play in xbox one x)
3. Survival corrupt saves
4, Having a companion increases the chances of crashes
5. Never use companions on stealth walkthroughs
6. settlers use your power armor (if u by any chance have a fusion core on your workshop they will use it on the power armor if it doesnt have fusion core)
7. settlers use your guns and ammo that you have stored in workshop
8. god pebble makes you trip you die or if you have high health it only takes some health
9. Elevators also kill you (collision also)
10. In survival if u take drugs you have to drink water (actual problem when u are in places where there are no clean water source)
11. Evade raiders at low level due to fear of molotovs
12. Elevators crash the game (more times than in loading screen)
13. Random encounter deathclaw, sentry bot or mr gutsy at low level
14. (In survival dogs at low level kill you or take your legs off)
15. Never go from survival to normal difficulty (normal raider becomes bullet sponge and you die even with power armor and legendary weapons)
16. Fear the mirelurk hatchling (can give infections and other illnesses)
18. Cant even play with human, humanoid or robot companions due to dependency on lone wanderer perk
Edit
19. I hate preston garvey and i hate tinker tom mila missions actually i hate more tinker tom
20. Another settlement need your help: the settlement is on the other side of the map
Some might say well stop playing in survival, sadly after my first run in survival i could never go back to normal or higher difficulty due to some perks (adrenaline) and also the game is "fun" (i became a masochist)
🔥
I like the combat difficulty and even the lack of fast travel but being forced to eat/sleep/drink, etc is just such a boring gameplay mechanic
Those extra long loadscreens are stressful. Never know if it's just taking an extra minute or if it got stuck in a loading loop.
4:35 dude that metalic bump killed me! so good!
One thing I didn’t see in this video is losing companions like telling them to stay and forgetting where you left them
I love how absolutely 0% commentary is necessary. 100% pure pain and horror.
Accidentally picking up something heavy and having to search through your inventory to drop it.
@7:30 2 power armored freaks getting dominated by rad roaches is peak comedy.
BOS cosplayers over here lmao
at the end, when the loading screen popped up, I instinctually got up to go to the bathroom and on my walk back it finished loading. 10/10 the most relatable one mentioned and solid choice for last pick.
This is hilarious. I have felt every single one of these pains. lololol
This is legitimately the pain that I felt when I played Fallout 4… and someways who reminded me of playing, fallout one and having a companion blocking the friggin doorway… LOL
4:29... that look when he can hear the nuke coming, and that thump when his corpse hits its head, on the tree, funny stuff
I swear Dogmeat is a Stimpack junkie 😂
"no dogs allowed" on the elevator I guess
Spawning into an impossible-to-survive situation while generating an autosave, dying, then reloading straight back into it. Your last save point was two hours ago. Just outside Cabot House is a great place for this!
Tripwire traps seem to spawn the second you don't think about them
Dogmeat running away from me when I'm over encumbered
The absolute worst is when you are shooting from cover and your companion keeps pushing you off of your cover towards the enemies against your will, or when you are about to throw a Molotov on someone behind cover and your companion pops in front of you making you kill yourself by accident.
My biggest pain in Fallout 4 is finding important NPCs killed.
the amount of pain bro endured to make this ...
Getting stuck in random spots has given me ptsd now I save every 10 minutes.
I swear some of these are actual footage from my hard drive
That these weird insects can even hurt you in power armor is still beyond me
The Reloading in VATS thing is hell lol
Master lock safes: every single time there's a freaking pipegun thrash inside
The lockpicking one just feels so bad when it happens
"It just works"

What I wouldn't give for a companion who doesn't run in front of the enemy despite having a ranged weapon or at least doesn't jump in front of me while I'm firing explosive bullets. That last one usually brings a rage-quit to the session.
did i just waited for that bloody loading screen?!
Picking up an item from the desk where there are two or more items next to each other. Whatever item you pick up, the rest will fall under the floor
That is why! I get used to pressing F5 so often while playing, that I even try to do a quick save IRL after I'm done with the game
”Is now a better time for that talk?”
The biggest pain is seeing you using a power armor...
About the last one, it helps it load faster if you look into the sky right before entering a building.
Hitting the head on the tree stump. Funniest shit ever 4:38
i agree ^^
That sound of metal, like it's completely empty

@@itdobelikedattho8112 made me spit my coffee.
@@Monsters_Dollhouse43 I'm sorry I didn't mean it
Legend has it he's still trying to place a water purifier.
As someone who plays 76 too. some of these issues are still somethin I experience lol Especially the building part. I laughed so hard at the floating flag because in one second I just KNEW
Seeing a settler walking around in MY POWER ARMOR!!
Dogmeat falling and getting hurt constantly is why I always install the 'immortal dogmeat' mod or whatever it is, because he is usually hurt falling off of something wasting my precious early game stimpacks
The worst thing in this game is the damn construction mode. Man, how that thing is annoying. You can place an object in thin air but you can't place it on the damn wall. So many problems when you try to place an item in the position you want. Makes you burn inside out of anger.
MOST painful is the damn game freezing on me on survival mode anytime I enter Boston. I love spending a 1/2 hour trying to figure out a route that wont lose my progress.
The one where he's cornered by the ghoul and beaten to death is too relatable. Especially in the early game where your running backward from a pack of dogs/molerats/radscorpion and you get wedged in between two trees juuuuust right. Then they bodyblock you and just beat you to death.
Thank God, I'm not the only one who has experienced all of this!
My favorite is the random mini nukes and Dogmeat running up and aggro-ing a random encounter that is a Deathclaw
Or he happily struts through the Jamaica plain laser grid and all turrets shoot at you.
I shook my head, threw up my hands, and even said “what the fuck” out loud like I was playing the game myself. This was awful, great job 😂
4:24 bro got so pissed from that rocket miss he pulled out a got damn fat man
We've all been there
4:30
That head slam though
Had a firing gun bugged sound during an Endless Raid with super mutants. Endless pain instead.
Yeah, that's pretty much why I don't like using the gatling laser, but my heavy weapons character found one with a mutant slayer legendary effect so I simply have no choice.
“Stealing” and getting mobbed by an entire town over it.
The hang on load brings back memories. Even the Unofficial Patch never managed to sort that out.
Running in full screen and alt-tabbing sometimes fixes it.
And that's why I never bring companions with me 😁
Also, it's surprising for me to see power armor being always on, I almost never use it.
No power armor, no companions = no half of these problems 😊
Me rereading the title-“…well when you’re right you’re right!
Early on in my first playthrough, I took cover behind a car not knowing they could explode.
Still better than Starfield. ;)
Just Knight Rhys. Totally valid.
There’s two things you forgot, dying by tripping on a car, and getting the rapid explosion glitch.
I know ALL of these... Omg. Most relateable video on the internet.
