im 16 and im overweight. i havent worked out in over 6 months. this workout was a bit hard but at the end i was smiling and so so proud of myself for finishing it! ive been telling myself that im going to start working out but i havent, so it feels amazing to have accomplished this! i am going to start doing some of jos workouts daily or every second day. thank you so much for helping me start this journey jo!!
I currently at 180lbs and 5’6. I am 14, my mother says I have no need to exercise, but I struggle with body image. I sometimes think I’m just a burden since my family is below middle-class, and I feel like I’m wasting all their money and food for myself. I can’t sleep, I’m bored, and it’s currently 11:24PM. My mother is sleeping downstairs so I can’t get my medicine, and I decided I would just try and better myself with a workout until school the next morning. Thank you, I really appreciate the quiet workouts that I can do without disturbing anybody’s sleep.

I'm getting married in November and really wanted to try and lose some weight beforehand, because I have struggled with body image issues for a while. Working out has always been difficult for me because it has always left me feeling sore, sick and weak. Your workouts are the first ones where I actually have fun. I finish one workout and my first thought is "What's another one I can do? Do I have time for another one?" Jo, you have made exercising fun for me for the first time in my life. @@aniyalowery5707 For losing weight, do cardio. You can add strength training with dumbells into your workout schedule to tone up. Find a free weekly schedule to follow to help you that targets your goals. I suggest checking out Celamarr's community tab on youtube for free workout schedules. Continue with growwithjo for low impact workouts. Check out her community tab for schedules too. Growingannas is also a great influencer. She shares low impact workouts on her youtube community tab.

I started putting on weight from the first lockdown in March 2020 and went from 150lb to 210lb in 18 months. I've tried having a personal trainer, cycling and water aerobics but as a single parent and a nursing student with rheumatoid arthritis it's been a struggle! I've just starting doing your 10 minute workouts twice a day and it's really starting to help me!

I am not a teen (at the end of my 30's) but I have been struggling with depression for a long time. My therapist has been telling me to start small with workouts and walks. I am struggling to find a routine I can stick with and somehow grow some motivation. I tried out this workout today and I just want to thank you for having that big smile on your face, for making easy movements I can keep up with but also do at my own pace, for mouthing "good job" and "so proud of you". 🥺 That high five at the end made me reach out to almost touch my tv. honestly, this is what i needed to get back into working out!! i did your workouts for around a month and saw amazing results, but then gave up and fell back into old habits. i just wanted to say thank you for making such simple yet effective workouts that aren’t time consuming AT ALL!!! sincerely, a teenager :)
This is late but I'm 16 and I'm struggling with my weight. I really want to find something that can keep me motivated and also help with exercising and that's when I found this channel! I put some videos that I want to go through all together and this is the 3rd video today and I'm actually feeling pretty good. Not too tired and not too exhausted. I hope to continue following this everyday or at least on weekdays since summer break.
I think I'm gonna start doing this workout every morning to get my body ready to move during the day! It's enough to get the muscles warm and worked but not too much that I'm sweating or tired. I love this video

Jo, you are so precious, genuine and motivating. I’m an early childhood teacher and I’ve homeschooled my three children. It can be a challenge to find something fun and motivating even as adults and it was a struggle to facilitate opportunities for the youth in my care to find something that sticks. This is wonderful! In addition, I struggle finding something that’s sustainable as I navigate chronic pain and fatigue. This is the PERFECT middle ground to get me moving without crashing in the end. Thank you. I am 57 and I thought this workout was fun! At first I was disappointed at how short it was, but then I realized that’s part of its genius. You’re giving teens a taste. Making it fun so their curiosity is piqued and when you invite them to explore other routines, you’ve probably convinced them to! Fun workout, Jo!

I am 13 years old and I struggle with my weight, I recently did a surgery which prevented from doing any exercise for over a month and I gain 5 kg during that time and I am still gaining. I have hated my body ever since and wish to go back to my original weight. And because of you, Jo. Hi Rama! Thank you so much for sharing all of that with me. I understand how you feel, sometimes it is hard to recognize ourselves when our bodies change from situations beyond our control. It is really important to remember that you are more then a number on a scale! Your value comes from the incredible person you are on the inside. Our goal is always to be healthy, not skinny. Dont forget- when you dont eat you are actually making it more difficult to loose weight because your body thinks it is being starved so it starts to hoard fat. A balanced diet paired with daily movement is key to success. I am so proud of you for being committed to your health, Rama. You've got this! Please keep me updated with how things are going. I love this workout for the days I don't have much executive functioning. I have ADHD and depression, so just getting 10 minutes to move my body is all I can muster, it's better than nothing. Thank you for this and I hope to see more of these smaller bite-size workouts

Not a teen, but I like the shorter videos! I haven't been able to work-out in over 4 years, wanting to lose weight but haven't got the energy. I am able to finish these short videos (without dying too much), and I don't beat myself up for not finishing the complete workout!

I am 17 going to 18 until my birthday in march i atleast want to lose some weight. I found you awhile ago and it changed my body until i fell into deep depression and didnt have the strength to do so. Now its a new year and i just started today again. I am way past being a teen but I enjoyed this new workout. I added it to the end of another of your walking workouts. I love sharing your workouts and I particularly like this one. Not only is it great for teens but I think it is a great way for anyone to just get started. The exercises are easy, it's only ten minutes and your constant encouragement can really help someone get started on a healthy path. As a 16 yo girl who work out almost every day, i can say that this routine is actually very complete & easy, you can do it, if you are struggling it’s only a little part of the process, don’t give up!
I just did this workout after recommending it to my 16 year old sister. I definitely underestimated the intensity + burn, but this a great workout! I absolutely loved it! It's perfect for all age groups & fitness levels. I'll for sure be doing this workout again even though I'm 26! 😅 💪🏾🔥

I’m 15 and joined marching band this past year (drumline). Now, I haven’t done a real P.E class since I was about 10-11, so summer wasn’t exactly my best moment. I’ve been informed that our school’s band will be marching in a big (culturally important) parade that our city’s holding which is really exciting. It’s also really hot (As this will be in April) and I haven’t had my drum on my body for around 3 months now, so all of whatever muscle I built in the summer has probably gone by now. I have 2 months to be able to build enough strength to play and march for around 3 miles and overall gain back what I lost in the winter
I always love your videos!! The vibe is so wholesome and personally you seem like a kind and funny friend who everyone loves to hang around with (including me of course!). I personally found most of the fitness youtuber/influencers very intimidating because of how hard their workouts are and how they seem to do it so effortlessly (not their faults btw!) so I can never finish their longer workout as I always give up. But after I found your channel, I never give up (ok maybe once or twice after half way through) but most of the time I don't! I don't see much result on my body yet but I see how my mental health has improved and I am actually excited to exercise with you now! Thank you so much for changing this for me. As much as I want to change my body and be fit, I also want to build a healthy relationship with exercise for my own health as well. So thank you so much for giving me motivation and change my life completely!

Find a free weekly schedule to follow to help you that targets your goals. I suggest checking out Celamarr's community tab on youtube for free workout schedules. Continue with growwithjo for low impact workouts. Check out her community tab for schedules too. Growingannas is also a great influencer. She shares low impact workouts on her youtube community tab.

I started putting on weight from the first lockdown in March 2020 and went from 150lb to 210lb in 18 months. I've tried having a personal trainer, cycling and water aerobics but as a single parent and a nursing student with rheumatoid arthritis it's been a struggle! I've just starting doing your 10 minute workouts twice a day and it's really starting to help me!

I am not a teen (at the end of my 30's) but I have been struggling with depression for a long time. My therapist has been telling me to start small with workouts and walks. I am struggling to find a routine I can stick with and somehow grow some motivation.
I tried out this workout today and I just want to thank you for having that big smile on your face, for making easy movements I can keep up with but also do at my own pace, for mouthing "good job" and "so proud of you". 🥺 That high five at the end made me reach out to almost touch my tv. This is late but I'm 16 and I'm struggling with my weight. I really want to find something that can keep me motivated and also help with exercising and that's when I found this channel! I put some videos that I want to go through all together and this is the 3rd video today and I'm actually feeling pretty good. Not too tired and not too exhausted. Jo, you are so precious, genuine and motivating. I’m an early childhood teacher and I’ve homeschooled my three children. It can be a challenge to find something fun and motivating even as adults and it was a struggle to facilitate opportunities for the youth in my care to find something that sticks. This is wonderful!

I am 57 and I thought this workout was fun! At first I was disappointed at how short it was, but then I realized that’s part of its genius. You’re giving teens a taste. It is really important to remember that you are more then a number on a scale! Your value comes from the incredible person you are on the inside. Our goal is always to be healthy, not skinny. Dont forget- when you dont eat you are actually making it more difficult to loose weight because your body thinks it is being starved so it starts to hoard fat. I love this workout for the days I don't have much executive functioning. I have ADHD and depression, so just getting 10 minutes to move my body is all I can muster, it's better than nothing. Thank you for this and I hope to see more of these smaller bite-size workouts

Not a teen, but I like the shorter videos! I haven't been able to work-out in over 4 years, wanting to lose weight but haven't got the energy. I am able to finish these short videos (without dying too much), and I don't beat myself up for not finishing the complete workout!

I am way past being a teen but I enjoyed this new workout. I added it to the end of another of your walking workouts. I love sharing your workouts and I particularly like this one. Not only is it great for teens but I think it is a great way for anyone to just get started. The exercises are easy, it's only ten minutes and your constant encouragement can really help someone get started on a healthy path. As a 16 yo girl who work out almost every day, i can say that this routine is actually very complete & easy, you can do it, if you are struggling it’s only a little part of the process, don’t give up!
I just did this workout after recommending it to my 16 year old sister. I definitely underestimated the intensity + burn, but this a great workout! I absolutely loved it! It's perfect for all age groups & fitness levels. I'll for sure be doing this workout again even though I'm 26! 😅 💪🏾🔥

I’m 15 and joined marching band this past year (drumline). Now, I haven’t done a real P.E class since I was about 10-11, so summer wasn’t exactly my best moment. I’ve been informed that our school’s band will be marching in a big (culturally important) parade that our city’s holding which is really exciting. It’s also really hot (As this will be in April) and I haven’t had my drum on my body for around 3 months now, so all of whatever muscle I built in the summer has probably gone by now. I have 2 months to be able to build enough strength to play and march for around 3 miles and overall gain back what I lost in the winter
I always love your videos!! The vibe is so wholesome and personally you seem like a kind and funny friend who everyone loves to hang around with (including me of course!). I personally found most of the fitness youtuber/influencers very intimidating because of how hard their workouts are and how they seem to do it so effortlessly (not their faults btw!) so I can never finish their longer workout as I always give up. But after I found your channel, I never give up (ok maybe once or twice after half way through) but most of the time I don't! I don't see much result on my body yet but I see how my mental health has improved and I am actually excited to exercise with you now! Thank you so much for changing this for me. As much as I want to change my body and be fit, I also want to build a healthy relationship with exercise for my own health as well.
