What's at 1:12 ? I think it's a clip from an old rap song. And at 1:15 , I believe it's a clip from Beasty Boy's Fight for your Right to Party. At 1:37 it's a clip from a Bugs Bunny cartoon, Beaky Buzzard the reluctant vulture that didn't want to learn to fly in "Bring home something for Diiinner". The dopey tune is him also in "The Lion's Busy".
Saw them in studio one in newark. They ran late and the club owner shut the power off because the band refused to leave the stage. With no mic or instruments the lead singer pulled his pants down and began to sing "marry had a little lamb". which of course made a packed little room with over a thousand kids start yelling and singing it. then the newark police showed up and arrested the band and threw us all out. Funny that at 47 years old I randomly came across this song and remembered this lol. I know it was stupid, but hey it gave me a memory and a laugh today :)
haha that's great Rebecca Herbert! Hey do you remember that tv show with that older guy that was a magician or some sort and he also used to review some albums and bring bands to his show? Scatterbrain was on one of his shows and they did a track live too or I think they air guitar and drummed it lol it's been a while but I believe it was either 89,90 or 91? can't remember that name of the magician and show
Living in Australia as a teen a friends parents did a student exchange with a American kid, lucky for us he was a metal head and brought this album with him, still love it till this day, great underatted band.
*lol* this song reminds me of the good ol days listening to Z-ROCK on the radio Fri. nights w/ my Sister and my friends when we were middle school. Fun times! *lol* :)
F'ing miss these guys! Ludichrist wound up becoming Scatterbrain. Followed them both through their careers. Bands like this are one in a million! Brilliant band!
Damn. I left this record in a box full of records in the garage of my old house upstate NY. Someone was supposed to grab it. We left. Lost this, Kill em all, agnostic front-live at CBGBs, MJ Thriller, Anthrax- among the living, king diamond-conspiracy, slayer- the first 4 records, some MOD, SOD, DRI, and many many more classics.
I remember this band being played in heavy rotation on a syndicated AM hard rock radio station in the late 80s. They also played new Cult & Danzig records.
Thank you for Posting and God bless the metal Kings and Queens around planet Earth that still believe in Equality Freedom and Justice. Go Space Force give em Hell! Thank you veterans of the Earth its time for peace 🕊️✌️ Yes?
Yes, much cleaner video AND audio...i must find who I loaned this album to all those years ago...I need it back now :o) cheers for the upload & reminder!!!!
Thing2> i'm already intrigued Thing1> these guys are fucking rad Thing2> okay this is like weird al meets other weird als withg uitars and they just say we don't play music right? because we hate music Thing1> the nuns doing seek and destroy Thing2> a Yes joke?!?! Thing1> this is not a song, I love it
"Stumped" no longer. This was - very "in your face", which is why I took so long getting it - the resistance's warning against the music-forgeries having already started then and havinbeen planned to be done "wholly" over the following decades.
I haven't heard this album in forever. I wonder what I'd think of it today. I was really into it back in the day and i know they did a 2nd album but I never heard it. Seemed like the 2nd album got zero promotion
If I hadn't been forewarned about the content and structure (or lack thereof) of this song, I'd swear I was having a stroke! It's a bit like The Mothers of Invention if they had been around in the 90s.
nextgenawesome3000 No, I have seen them live at Sundance in Bayshore NY back in the early 90's and they did this song exactly like you heard it, note for note. The only sampled parts were the orchestrated ones.
nextgenawesome3000 That's the point of the song, it's about the commercialization and sellout of heavy metal in the late 80's and early 90's. Not only is the music sampled from other songs, but the costumes and sets in the videos are copied from popular videos at the time.

1:58 Roadhouse Blues-Doors
...and I always thought 1:49 was the start of Sanitarium by Metallica, but you are 100% right - it is Roundabout by Yes

Rebecca Herbert now that's an awesome memory. not stupid at all. i would have loved to have been there for that.
rock on, Becky! \m/>
I can just imagine that on that little stage...

a memory like that is priceless!!!
This world is in dire need of a Scatterbrain reunion tour.
Wanna bet
Suicidal Tendencies meets Steel Panther.. this entire album is Amazing
Had the pleasure to see them live.... lots of booze, drugs, head banging, the 80s ROCKED!!!
These guys are better than Steel Panther
Steel Panther did not exist yet...perhaps you are thinking of Spinal Tap?
Deadpool of 80 s music. Hell yeah. Loved these guys
This is one of the coolest ideas for a song. Wish more bands did stuff like this.
They were a little ahead of their time and had a crappy video producer. Amongst other issues.
fuck you this video is great
Can't be done anymore with everyone trying to sue about music royalties for every little imitated bit.
Deana Rupe Hang out at guitar center
@@LibrenoDMCA Crappy? This and Don't Call Me Dude were awesome videos, that really captured the comedic vibe of the band.
such an underrated band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are SO talented!
Living in Australia as a teen a friends parents did a student exchange with a American kid, lucky for us he was a metal head and brought this album with him, still love it till this day, great underatted band.
I forgot about these guys till today.a friend reminded me of without reminding me 👍
*lol* this song reminds me of the good ol days listening to Z-ROCK on the radio Fri. nights w/ my Sister and my friends when we were middle school. Fun times! *lol* :)
Effen ZRock. So glorious back in the day. I started listening in 89 or 90
F'ing miss these guys! Ludichrist wound up becoming Scatterbrain. Followed them both through their careers.
Bands like this are one in a million! Brilliant band!
This song skirts the edges of the biggest copyright violation in history! I love it!
LOVED IT, used to play LOUD while street racing in late 80s
Lies, this song came out in the 90s
Absolutely underrated! Nein! Nyet! I love em
Stunning! I got this album from a friend so long ago and remember being blown away by the skill of the band- and their awesome sense of humor.
ABSOLUTELY
Still a catchy tune in 2023 as it was in the early 90’s?? Perhaps late 80’s
2024

Loved this song
I remember seeing this on Head Bangers ball back in the day. Fucking loved it!
I remember this band being played in heavy rotation on a syndicated AM hard rock radio station in the late 80s. They also played new Cult & Danzig records.
I was the Metal Director for a college station from 91-94 (and after, on/off), and these guys were rotated often-- they rock.
Z-Rock? AM stereo. I forget the frequency number.
Yo , I never heard of these cats but I got a track titled scatterbrain and another called down with the ship that's crazy
Roundabout-Yes
Tocava muito na 89FM, início dos anos 90!
Reminds me of Baltimore After Dark with Cruzer on 98 Rock!
Bend over and smile like a shark!
Shout out to my pal Roger for recommending this to me 😂
How many others had heated arguments with their mates naming all the cover samples ? Fucking plenty is the answer of course. Cheers
Love!
xoxo The Clarences
This is actually brilliant and the lyrics have never been so relevant than they are in 2022.
This song was ahead of time.
I believe I discovered them listening to Z-Rock... national radio station out of texas.
"who cares z-rock rules"

Pure genius
Really Really wish you had a 1080p high rez verson of this epic song from a great band !
Okay … this has me stumped. But I added it to my favorites …
"Stumped" no longer. This was - very "in your face", which is why I took so long getting it - the resistance's warning against the music-forgeries having already started then and havinbeen planned to be done "wholly" over the following decades.
Huh. A few years ago I listed all the song samples in these comments. My update for Roundabout is still here, but my original list is gone.
Underrated !
remember one show when they came on,played 1 or 2 notes, smashed all their instruments, thanked the crowd, and left the stage....
This brings back a lot of memoires. To bad they always wanted to b funny. U can tell they where great musicians . Still have the c.d \m/
Cool
I swear the drummer looks like Bobby Blotzer! This group could do anything!
The drummer of this band is my husband Mike boyko.
03/10/2021 Thank You Rock On Patriots

Scatterbrain was awesome, maybe I should listen to their but that one is cool
I meant to say I should have listened to their album
whaddaya mean? He tripped, and fell into a lifeboat that had a mind of its own. *rolls eyes*
Rock!🎗🎀🛶🗽
The song at 2'00 was "Ain't Talkin Bout Love" Van Halen
No I ain't going! Lmao
If I hadn't been forewarned about the content and structure (or lack thereof) of this song, I'd swear I was having a stroke! It's a bit like The Mothers of Invention if they had been around in the 90s.
Now it would take a blend of death metal and pop oh wait they already do that
Is that a PRS guitar I spied in there?
Holy crap I saw this guys in a N.J. underground club called Miracles where the lead singer was dressed lime a doctor and had a rubber chicken 😁😁😁😁
Ludichrist was an amazing band!!!
G E N I U S
Van Halen's Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
Nope. I ain’t goin’.
Overdoing it a little, maybe ??? I love them anyway.
02/01/2021 Rock On Patriots
My first car ate this tape :(
Just like the toilet ate the paper ship
Billy Squier
I love how they're basically just trolling other bands here. Intentional or not
that was cool huh.
Did they just take bits of other songs, seek and destroy, ozzy, etc and put them into one song
nextgenawesome3000 No, I have seen them live at Sundance in Bayshore NY back in the early 90's and they did this song exactly like you heard it, note for note. The only sampled parts were the orchestrated ones.
i dont hate it just seems like they took from other bands a little bit
