So happy that they caught on with millions of people who enabled them a career; so that I am able to rediscover them at 53. I finally met Mike - completely on accident about 3 years ago. I was walking to grab another beer and bumped into him. Before I even knew it a crowd already formed around us and people were already asking for photo's and shit and I just shook my head like "hey man, I'm old school - I'm good. He grinned for a sec, walked over to me and threw his arm around my shoulder like we'd been buds for life - My buddy couldn't believe it and grabbed a pic of the incident. Let me tell you, he's as genuine a person as you'll ever meet.
I've seen Mike after a infectious grooves and suicidal show come out to the parking lot and meet and greet fans for an hour after both shows.I cant say nutn bad about the man!...Robby.
How TF did this gem slip by me for all these years?!?! I LOVE this solo. Their lead guitarist is an animal. I’ve literally had this song on loop for entire 8 hours shift! Officially STUCK in my head! 😂
everything in this video blew my mind when i saw it first time...metal drums, flipped hats, bandanas, high socks, metal guitars, thrash metal and punk/hardcore with melodic and shreded solos.... SxTx one of my favourite bands ever...
This is, in my opinion one of, if not the best heavy metal songs I've ever heard. I post it on my Facebook page repeatedly as the Best Hard Rock and Heavy Metal song ever. Suicidal!
"You wouldn't know what crazy was if Charles Manson was eating Fruit Loops on your front porch." ST's poetry always adds a little comic relief while tackling serious subjects, but this one evokes THE best imagery. I chuckle at it every single time I hear it, and I've been listening to it for decades.🤘
Suicidal, DRI, Prong, there was some great heavy stuff from that era right around 90, give or take a year or 2. I also seem to remember damn near wearing out 'Reign In Blood', 'South of Heaven', and 'Seasons In The Abyss' (on cassette 🤣). Death Metal was also just starting to crank out some really good stuff (Death, Pestilence, Obituary, Morbid Angel, so many).
They convinced me that suicide was not my only option and I could make it. I emailed them and ended up seeing them in the late 90's with Infectious Grooves in Tempe, AZ. I was privileged enough to even get to meet them afterwards and it's amazing to be called "Cyco" by Mike Muir
I just listened to this again and being part of this was and is undoubtedly one of my proudest moments. I thankk you all for a truly magical moment ...never to be forgotten x
As a teenager I remember watching this video clip on Rage, late on Friday and Saturday nights, along with Alice in Chains, Metallica (One), Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Jane’s Addiction, Kreator… and so on. This kind of quality music was hard to find those days as I could only afford to buy the occasional cassette/ cd (although JJJ helped), so really looked forward to it every weekend.
Best song always done against depression and bad feelings , like suicide, during 90's for childs and teenagers and nowadays. Historical and timeless. Thank you Suicidal .
Been listening to ST since 1986, got me through depression and suicidal thoughts.. saw them live last year. My bucket list was complete. Mike thank you.
not even that, back on 09' when the video was uploaded Vevo would censor it themselves. not so much the age of the song but the year it was uploaded to YT

+Sophie Kernachan hey, I was on a Slipknot concert just yesterday. It was in Leipzig. Suicidal Tendencies played for over an hour and Slipknot for about 2 hours. Was fucking awesome. I drove from Berlin to Leipzig just to see this awesome concert!

I played this at work a few years back in the warehouse I was at, and one of my Mexican co-workers came up to me and said "What's up with this white-boy music?" I told him "Suicidal Tendencies are mostly Hispanic and I think I've seen black guys in the line-up through the years." He said "Oh..." and drove off on his forklift. PRICELESS
Shit growing up in the mexican hood everybody used to ask me why i listened to white boy music and sometimes got made fun of because of it lol.
Great story
I've seen Mike after a infectious grooves and suicidal show come out to the parking lot and meet and greet fans for an hour after both shows.I cant say nutn bad about the man!...Robby.
That’s so kewl bro,how fukn kewl is sat!
So kewl
Awesome Man
How TF did this gem slip by me for all these years?!?! I LOVE this solo. Their lead guitarist is an animal. I’ve literally had this song on loop for entire 8 hours shift! Officially STUCK in my head! 😂
Better late than never! 🤘
Bassist is currently playing with Metallica.
Imo the most underrated guitarist in rock history.
You'll never hear such emotional shredding, from anyone else.
ROCKY ❤
For shit years
everything in this video blew my mind when i saw it first time...metal drums, flipped hats, bandanas, high socks, metal guitars, thrash metal and punk/hardcore with melodic and shreded solos.... SxTx one of my favourite bands ever...
not only one of the greatest hardcore bands of all time, but also one of the greatest thrash bands of all time.
This song helps kids to follow their own path and definitely not let them break them but still be with respect and responsability.
Well said 💯
I am a black African American woman and I use to watch the box back in the day. This is one of my favorite songs that use to play.
why tf are you people always wanting brownie points?
@@Costa_del_ArtlepoolEEEEEW go back to ur basement confederate flag waver
Yeah, African-Americans tend to be black.
idk@@Costa_del_Artlepool
You don't have to bring your race... It's like you're saying I'm human and love music.
That sweet spot at the end of the 80s and before Grunge. So many good bands.
30 years later this song is still strong as Hell! (Even more in these times we are living.)
Shitty times LOL but we’ll survive
Legend has it Mike was born with a bandana.
i can see that
Mike can’t.
No that's a lie, he only has half of his 2 eyes, which he covers to perfection.
even stranger is the fact there's another bandana under that bandana
and pepsi
This song ,this band got me thru some really dark times. .May actually have saved my life. Respect
Glad to hear this.
The power of the jams
They convinced me that suicide was not my only option and I could make it. I emailed them and ended up seeing them in the late 90's with Infectious Grooves in Tempe, AZ.
I was privileged enough to even get to meet them afterwards and it's amazing to be called "Cyco" by Mike Muir
Hola
Cómo. Te. llama😮
Cholo-Core! FTW!
Criminally underrated band. probably the best punk/metal crossover band of their era.
Pride of Venice. My Hood!
Also, Voivod.
Kirk Slater, not best of their era, best band ever dude👌
Kirk Slater What Bands are Punk/Metal Crossover Now?
I'm sure!
In my opinion, Suicidal Tendencies is one of the best bands to ever do it.
Proof that metal and hardcore hip-hop have always been homies.
Is this song punk metal or hard-core
@@space_skeloton1862 I would have to say both. Good question for sure.
I call this Gangster Metal.
@@space_skeloton1862 ST was skater punk before entering metal.
@@anthonypalermo8816 well then your lost.
I saw these guys the first time back in the 90's on Camp Pendleton, that's how cool the USMC is.
Thank you for your service!
2:53 TELL EM WHAT'S UP ROCKY!!!!!
Let's do dis brudis!
I grew up with this masterpiece. 49 already and still coming back for a dose of adrenaline.
This song carried me through a really dark time in my life. God bless you Mike Muir....
"OH IM SORRY IF I OFENDED YOU BUT MAYBE YOU NEED TO BE OFFENDED."
ALL of us Need to recognize these are the most powerful lyrics of our generation.
So here's my apology and one more thing......
Fucking classic.
listened to this 30 years ago.. still sounds good
cant bring me down !
This ain't no Mr Rogers Neighborhood!
Before you take a look at my world, you need to take a look at the real world!
I just listened to this again and being part of this was and is undoubtedly one of my proudest moments. I thankk you all for a truly magical moment ...never to be forgotten x
Amazing song. Excellent solo. That intro part from 2:53-3:03 still sends a chill down my spine after all these years.
this band cured my depression and stage 4 cancer and aids etc
Hahaha. I see what you mean.
One of the most underrated multi racial greatest bands in the world..... SUICIDAL!!!!!!
I dunno why race matters but ok 😂
They all look human to me. Are there extraterrestrials in the band?
When ever I'm down I can listen to this and get back in the game.
Just saw these guys at the metallica concert in Phoenix... made me a fan again !
I’m an Aussie. Saw these guys live in the early 90’s and fell in love with them. This song I always played before I went to work. Still do!
I saw the speed and precision at the Hordern Pavilion (RIP) 1993, and at Selina's Coogee Bay Hotel 1995, raw power, raw intensity, lifelong fan.
Hahahahahaha,I'm 60 and I grew old with them. Thank you.
Same here!
Best song always done against depression and bad feelings , like suicide, during 90's for childs and teenagers and nowadays. Historical and timeless. Thank you Suicidal .
After 20 years, I still get goosebumps when I hear it.
Yup
FUCKING AWESOME , STILL !!!!!
I just heard it for the first time! It's amazing!
Me too
Monster of an album and only gets better with age. 30 years on and still sounds great. Lost again is truly brutal.
Lost again was the first Suicidal song I heard.. went and brought the cassette the next day 👍🏻
we should be putting Tendencies as one of the greatest bands of all time, easy. so underappreciated.
Listened to them as a kid...never thought they are still touring...
still going!
Been listening to ST since 1986, got me through depression and suicidal thoughts.. saw them live last year. My bucket list was complete.
Mike thank you.
probably one of the most underrated bands EVER!
The Descendents/all bands are way more underrated
not even that, back on 09' when the video was uploaded Vevo would censor it themselves. not so much the age of the song but the year it was uploaded to YT
They are one of the most influential bands from the 80's/90's.
+Brett R (DaygloAbortion247) Lol and then rocky George left to join an even more underrated band, Fishbone.
Every metal band gives these guys mad props.....they are truly great.
I'm sure not alone when I'm listening to this band!
Im 44 and this just brings back hella memories lol
43 bro. I hear ya!
41 and same bro.
We may grow old.... But we'll always have our music. 👍
Ya, same here, 44.
yeah, me too I remember...back in the day ;)
44/45, saying hella😄. Rock on brother🤘.
48, and still rocking
Imagine kids , these songs were played in mtv .
pues para los chavos de hoy se vuelven más locos de lo que están, no aguantarian tanta chingoneria de música se derriten en pocas palabras..
It's been years since I heard this. It's still as strong, intense and badass as I remember.
Rocky is my ultimate guitar hero because his style is drenched with emotion and exotic notes. Truly original 🤟 This song set the bar high for future bands. Metal greets from Belgium
That change in tempo, right in the middle. I love it.
The censoring of this song offends me!
Go-go Akins maybe you need to be offended...

How am I just discovering this band????? They are INCREDIBLE!
This is the supporting band on the 12th of February for slipknot...I'm so buzzed for this concert!
+Drizzle Effect I'm going to that concert too! I'm so excited for it as well.
+Sophie Kernachan Haha might see you there! ik it's gonna be awesome!!!
Maybe! It's going to be great!
Cool! Hoping they'll do Metabolic at this concert.
+Sophie Kernachan hey, I was on a Slipknot concert just yesterday. It was in Leipzig. Suicidal Tendencies played for over an hour and Slipknot for about 2 hours. Was fucking awesome. I drove from Berlin to Leipzig just to see this awesome concert!
my shattered head met this band at just the right time, back in the late '80s when I was in school.
I found a soundtrack and support to my constant self hate and depression.
One of the greatest intros to any rock song it’s so smooth and it takes the turn in your know it’s on this doesn’t age this would be great today
Rocky George never got his due as an awesome guitarist! Great gnarly riffs and very aggro melodic solos! Rock on Rocky!

What the hell's going on around here?
First off-let's take it from the start
Straight out-can't change what's in my heart
No one-can tear my beliefs apart, you can't bring me
You ain't-never seen no one like me
Prevail-regardless what the cost might be
Power-flows inside of me, you can't bring me
Never-fall as long as I try
Refuse-to be a part of your lie
Even-if it means I die, you can't bring me
You...can't...bring...me...down!
Who the hell you calling crazy? You wouldn't know what crazy was
If Charles Manson was eating fruit loops on your front porch....
Time out-let's get something clear
I speak-more truth than you want to hear
Scapegoat-to cover up your fear, you can't bring me
You ain't-never seen so much might
Fight for-what I know is right
What up-you got yourself a fight, you can't bring me
Stand up-we'll all sing along
Together-ain't nothin' as strong
Won't quit-we ain't in the wrong, you can't bring me
You...can't...bring...me...down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, no!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, you can't bring me down!
Tell them what's up Rocky!
You...can't...bring...me...down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, no!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, you can't bring me down!
So why you trying to bring me?
Well you can't bring me down...No, no, no, no
Can't bring me down....No, no, no, no, no, no
Can't bring me down....No, no, no, no, no, no
Can't bring me down....No, no, no, no, no, no
So why you trying to bring?
Well you can't bring me down
Just cause you don't understand what's going on don't mean it don't make no sense
And just cause you don't like it, don't mean it ain't no good
And let me tell you something;
Before you go taking a walk in my world
You better take a look at the real world
Cause this ain't no Mister Roger's Neighborhood
Can you say feel like shit?
Yea maybe sometimes I do feel like shit
I ain't happy 'bout it, but I'd rather feel like shit than be full of shit!
And if I offended you, oh I'm sorry...
But maybe you need to be offended
But here's my apology and one more thing...fuck you!
Cos you...can't...bring...me...down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, no!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, no!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, no!
Bring me down-you can't bring me down, you can't bring me down!
Can't bring me down!
Can't bring me down!
Can't bring me down!

Damn I listened this in 1991 for the first time time. Now I’m 46 & still rock me like the first time. Awesome.
I've listened to this song 100 times if I've listened to it once, and the begining instrumental still brings me chills!!! It's so beautiful, and the song's freaking awesome, amazing artist's ❣️
DAMN THE ENERGY OF THESE GUYS
I like when dude snaps the pencil in half, shit just got real.
You just know that splintery piece of wood is going to end up in somebody's ass.

What an absolute masterpiece
ST was so badass back in the day. I listened to their cassette tape every day.
They still are !
Sept 2024 and that run at 3:46 needs to be played multiple times... so damn good! The whole song is pure🔥 !!!!

Hey pretty girl!
One of the best core/metal/punk/whatever song ever made!
This is statement!
This is legacy!
PRICELESS
+Danny Jingu thanks for the cuckle
+Danny Jingu Right on white boy!
;)
Shit growing up in the mexican hood everybody used to ask me why i listened to white boy music and sometimes got made fun of because of it lol. I would tell them about different mexicans and hispanics who played metal, punk, and hardcore. It's all love tho and now im older and appreciate different kinds of music.
My dad calls it the kill your gramma music!
Ironic, ST is the chicanos rock band
My searches for Voivod brought me here, from the feed. Refreshing to hear. The song is timeless!
This song becomes so absurdly ironic with the censorship in.
