    Just subscribed. Great Vid brother. Just got my 22 G70 3.3 last week and it’s still stock. Really wanted to add the cold air intake. Now my question is, does installing a cold air intake void my warranty? If not, I’m going to do exactly this setup. Very nice sounding car.

    • @BoostedWhipz

      Any aftermarket parts could potentially void any warranty claim but not void the warranty automatically. I sell Ark Performance Exhaust, Secondary Catless Downpipes, Wheels, Suspension, and AERO. Let me know when ready for those.

    Great vid! I got a ‘22 g70 and did some quick exhaust mods to make it sound nice. I took out the mufflers and resonators and it sounded great but not loud at all. It was perfect to hear while not waking up your neighbors, especially with the crackles and subtle pops. I just took out the secondary cats and it sounds amazing and loud with crazy pops. I’ll get an actual exhaust system soon but these temporary changes make the car sound like a hypercar.

    • @BoostedWhipz
      @BoostedWhipz  3 роки тому +1

      Man i want to do something to the exhaust. Itching to do so. However I have active exhaust so not sure I can tamper with those adjustments without setting off a sensor.

    • @aliag70
      @aliag70 3 роки тому +1

      I had active exhaust valves too. They’re just actuators that open up in sport mode and I removed them with the muffler. No sensors or lights or warnings or anything of that nature.

    • @BoostedWhipz
      @BoostedWhipz  3 роки тому

      Oh man I didn't know. So does it just come off easily with the mufflers or got to disconnect it prior? I may upgrade to a full exhaust system. Was working with a company but they dropped the project because the real functional active valves on any system makes the cost rise immensely. This changes everything. If this can be bypassed or skipped, we can do a normal exhaust system with no actuators/valves.

    • @aliag70
      @aliag70 3 роки тому

      The actuators are after the mufflers so they don’t even have to be touched. You just have to cut the area prior to the mufflers and it’s like the muffler delete of any regular car like there were no actuators in the first place. You can get a regular exhaust system and get rid of the actuators/valves cuz they serve no real purpose

  • @ep2622

    Ok so I've watched and researched on other videos, others say that it does have a negative effect on your car. Not just hp but also on how effectively your trubo/engine runs...ie acceleration,launch control, idle...etc. Cuz of how it's supposed recirculate air back. But that the Genesis dont have the air meter or that its not in the same place. So Could you plz explain in a little more detail if does or doesn't. I don't understand how removing that one hose affects your vehicle.

    • @BoostedWhipz
      @BoostedWhipz  2 роки тому

      The Genesis G70 doesn't have a MAF sensor. So it doesn't recirculate. The excess air diverts to the intake, hence it has a "diverter hose".

    • @TheRedRaven_
      @TheRedRaven_ 2 роки тому +5

      @@BoostedWhipz Well wouldn't that extra air build atmospheric pressure in the manifold and potentially give you more hp or at least better throttle response (because it's extra pressure in the intake side)? This isn't that cut and dry, someone needs to do some more research into this, I'm only stating laymans science on engine/throttle body design and how it works.

    • @BoostedWhipz
      @BoostedWhipz  2 роки тому

      Not precisely... The extra air is being pushed out. It's just unnecessary excess of air. No gains or losses. It's diverting that wasted air through atmosphere or through a direct channel.

    • @TheRedRaven_
      @TheRedRaven_ 2 роки тому +6

      @@BoostedWhipz You're serious? This is anecdotal, that's why I said this needs needs to be looked into beyond the scope of anecdotal's. Someone needs to plug a ecu prog and breakdown what is actually happening, if it's beneficial, it it's detrimental, etc.

    Hey man nice mod and I like the sound after, but I was doing some research and found that there is a boost pressure sensor up in the manifold (393003L000) and I wonder what's the impact on that sensor readings after this mod and consequently how that affects the overall running of the engine ?

    • @LegendsPizzaCo
      @LegendsPizzaCo 11 місяців тому +3

      This is my question. Just plugging up a hose doenst sound like a good idea. It has to mess with the computer. Does this affect the car at all?

    • @BoostedWhipz
      @BoostedWhipz  11 місяців тому +2

      It doesn't affect it. The air circulates to the intake and disperses. Removing the hose you are just venting full to atmosphere just like aftermarket BOVs

      Is it really louder than it was with the aem intakes? I feel like the aem intakes would amplify the sound, since the pressure is running through the small tube into the intake.

    • @BoostedWhipz
      @BoostedWhipz  3 роки тому +4

      It is louder because the compression is fully vented to the atmosphere. The intakes you get the sucking air spool and when the valves close, the BOVs air vents out at full. That hose actually is a suppressor kind of like a silencer on a gun. So although it may seem the air would be released into the intake it won't amplify it because only suppressed air would go through the hose as oppose to full pressure exposed to the air with no travel. Not sure if that makes sense.

    I get it that your trying to increase your sound, but won't this cause you to run too rich and actually lose power and mpg? That air you are now venting to the atmosphere has already been measured by the cars sensors and the ecu has already determined how much fuel to add for that measured air. So therefore the ecu is now sending too much fuel for too little air. Just sayin'!
