    I used to sing from the age of 2 until about 3 years ago... I stopped because of paralyzing anxiety in my life, feelings of unworthiness, and other personal reasons I rather not go into.... but I decided to bring my voice back and found your videos on UA-cam. This video in particular brought me to tears because your soul and your love for teaching resonates so deeply. I have never had anyone give to me so freely and so willingly in teaching anything. It is such a blessing you are doing this. You are a gift to the world. A true blessing. I am so so grateful for you and all you do. You are a light in the world And I cannot wait to train my voice so I can sing to my fullest authentic power and grace and then if anyone asks how I did it, i will point to you. God bless you and thank you from the bottom of my heart! I had a blast practicing with you!! Can't wait to do it again🤗

    Killer workout!! One of the best I’ve had. I’ve been a professional singer for almost two decades and the thinking of resonance in the back as you go higher fixed a huge discomfort I had been “working around” for years. I do the morning warmup you released 8 years ago every single day. And for the past few weeks my voice has literally undertook a metamorphosis because of it. For some reason it is developing my voice and my pitch so well and it is just a warmup which is pretty weird but am really grateful for it.
    I was wondering if you could please do videos on falsetto......
    Just one video touching on falsetto and how to develop it that I can do every day to build my vocal strength for it. In the morning my falsetto is very free and easy to access but later as the day goes it becomes increasingly more difficult to access it to a point where it feel totally uncomfortable. That would be really amazing if you could cover that for us.
    Thanks for all the amazing help you give to us aspiring singers it is greatly appreciated.

    • @voicelessondotcom
      @voicelessondotcom  3 роки тому +5

      I'll put the idea for a falsetto video in my queue - but in your case it seems the way you speak may be the problem. Keeping your speech light and free throughout the day would allow you to maintain the same access to your falsetto that you have in the morning.

    • @ruantristancarlinsky3851
      @ruantristancarlinsky3851 3 роки тому +1

      @@voicelessondotcom That's a really interesting point. I think I can try it out and we'll see. I must say I have noticed that when I speak normally I have a lot of tongue tension in my neck area under my jaw and I have been working on loosening that area and it is helpful.
      However, just falsetto exercises to work on it daily would be even better because I know that different registers need to be worked out every day for it to become stronger and I currently do not know how to approach exercising falsetto because I tried a lot of youtube videos and I am not making progress. So Thanks for reading my message and I hope that you can find the time answer my request.
      In the meantime I will do what said about talking freely and more lightly and we'll see where it goes😄.

    Wow, thanks Mark, my friend! This is Mick, with the son Brandon you know well, lol. I've taken some recording courses recently, and started to record and get back into it again, since it's just my dog and myself at home now. First off, because of my past lessons with you, I've noticed my voice, nor range has not suffered what others our age has, and is still as resonant and clear a sound as you help me achieve. I just saw this warmup, as I was doing one of your other warmups I like and have used in the past, and wow!!! My performing days may be over because of my back issues, but I can see now that with this and some of your other exercises, it will allow to record my vocals as I wish to present them, and not have to write around them. Much love to you and the family brother; thank you and stay healthy!!! Oh btw, I have drums and keys now, so where do I find your lessons for them? lol...

    Back for therapy. I didn’t get my first 100 days. Pulled down the rabbit hole again. Watched your most current interviews with prior students to ease my panic last night. Worked. Soothing story telling interviews. I am here to heal another layer. Hoping to make my 100 day goal this time. To think most come for voice lessons. I come to heal my lifelong betrayal trauma. Thank you Mr. Mark for wearing many hats.

    Great warm-up. So fun to do.
    I don't breath through my nose though. I find it quicker and you get more breath, by taking air via the mouth. Why is it you suggest that? I'm a classical singer and taught that way.. ..is it different breathing because of the vocal style do you think?
    Anyway... Thanks for all your warmups and vocal health videos. I like the 10/15 second hums and the dbds 🙂

    • @voicelessondotcom
      @voicelessondotcom  3 роки тому +2

      Yes - mouth breathing is quicker, so if you need a big breath fast that's the way to go. But nasal breathing warms, moisturizes and releases vital nitric oxide into the inhale. Whenever possible - no matter the genre of music - it is healthier to breathe through your nose. Especially important when singing for hours at a time - less drying and fatigue.

    This is hands down the best and most fan/epic vocal warmup I've ever done personally! (and believe me when I say I've done plenty haha) It has become a routine for whenever I need my voice to be ready for whatever I need to sing! Thank so much for the effort you've put into this!

    Thank you for this Epic Warmup Mark! Here in Belgium it's raining but behind the screen the sun shines. Gradually I feel my voice is opening up, I still hear screaches and other strange sounds when I'm closer to the higher notes, but I feel your exercises are preparing my voice to gain its freedom ... . I'll add it to the daily exercises in my logbook!
    Also looking forward to your new book, wish you all the best!

      It seems you are getting ver close to achieving balance through your range. Just remember every new note is a new relationship. Balanced singing is a moving target!

    Every time I do this (nearly every day haha I mix it up - I do!!) it instantly puts a smile on my face and I’m immediately back into my flow. Connected with my source energy again. Feeling joyful. Your musical productions and your personality are just so incredibly pure. You are so fun and I’m def gonna have to get a lesson or two from you, just to make singing even more fun, but LIVE with you!!hah Im excited! I just had to tell you that! Thank you so much for helping me be happy again….this is exactly what I would like to do for others. Help them feel joyful so I think it’s cool how I found a teacher who helps me feel the most joyful …along with a few other scatters or too haha but seriously I’m so glad I found your page. Thank you, you’ll be hearing from me soon!

    After 17 days of intense practicing my throat was feeling very sore. It was nobody's fault but mine. I had stopped doing Mark Baxter's vocal warm up exercises a month back. I thought I wouldn't need them anymore. I was wrong. Thank you Mr. Baxter for this wonderful new video.
