lol My ah ah ah ah turned into a Ha (ha ha ha) Ha with your "I'd be wearing pants" still giggling Mark, love your sense of humor :) Thanks for another awesome exercise :)
damn after trying another vocal warm up on another channel "V V Technique" I should of just stayed with what works. The other channel strained my voice with their exercises. Your are the best vocal on UA-cam.
After 5-7 months of not practicing, my voice is gravel-y, cracks, harsh so after hearing the 50th celebration allows me to be the clown and relax and keep practicing without judging myself. I love to sing. It’s healing. Once you commented to me to move forward from my past. PTSD sent me down into quicksand darkness for that 5-7 months that I didn’t practice. I did journaling and watched everything from brain plasticity to motivational creative artist speakers. I am healing and able to return to your generous, genius talent. Your vocal lessons are not just for singers. They help us heal ourselves through developing new neural pathways form in our brains through creativity. You also makes me feel safe. Just seeing your kind and smiling expressions and hearing your voice. I’m 68 pushing 69 and I haven’t felt safe all my life. So if you are reading this, Mark, I feel like I can live joy and true happiness for the rest of my life because of you and your lessons. You helped me save my life. I no longer contemplate suicide. I won’t be singing professionally and say in front of thousands that you got me there. I can say in front of thousands on utube that you helped save my me on the stage of life. My gratitude to you is enormous!
You're absolutely right about creating new neural paths via creativity. So glad you are taking the brave step to rise from the quicksand. You are a big inspiration!
Looked at some of your other vids this afternoon and did 2 or 3 exercises as well, after doing my usual upper body warm up/work out. I learned how to do lip trills before I discovered you Mark, but you are different, you explain exactly what they do and how and why they are needed in order to sing well, or at least better. Your approach is obviously fairly serious, but you make the lessons fun too. I will never be able to thank you enough.
I have recently had almost no time to sing or vocalize... now it's been about a week or more and I have some freetime and your video popped up on my recommended list. Decided to do this rehearsal and I'm feeling as powerful singing as I could be! \m/ Thanks, man!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE LESSONS MARK!!!! (The pants comment broke my concentration as I laughed out loud and had to work to get that visual out of my head! LOL!)
thank you Mark for your awesome lesson videos for always - this one is also really helpful to check how my body reacts to go through the passaggio to the mix voice range and enter into the head voice range.
Ich hatte monatelang Halsschmerzen und habe dann Pause gemacht vom Singen. Jetzt brauche ich einfache Übungen um erneut zu beginnen und fühle mich hiermit sehr wohl. Danke vielmals !!
Awesome video! Thank you so much. I have been straining my voice. I am learning so much from your channel thank you for sharing your knowledge! I was sure to subscribe.
Hey Mark! Out of all your lessons this one is my fav! Simple warm up vocalizing with great info! The voice is improving slowly. Tx again for all you do!
Brilliant vid Mark, great lesson as usual. I thought I was doing fine before I discovered your channel, but I swear I've improved even more since I've been with you. But then, I'm deadly serious about singing. It's a drug now, and I can't get through a day without it. Your comic quips on screen wonderful as usual. My grateful thanks, amazing guy that you are.
You are amazing. What a teacher. Just stumbled upon your videos. The real deal...unreal..that we are able to vocalize with your instruction. We are all so lucky. Thank you
You crack me up Mark! Great video - I've been using it almost every morning before making phone calls so i don't have that "just woke up voice". Thanks for your guidance and encouragement:)
These 5-minute workouts always seem to take me about 10 to 15 minutes the first couple of times lol. But I honestly love how you put these videos together, I feel like I'm taking a real class!
Mark, just a quick note to say I love your videos/approach - I've watched so many and bought some introductory courses but like coming back to yours! I'm a coach about to start a blog series about skilling up in different areas, including vocals) and will be linking to your site and this channel. Thanks a million for all the good content, and wishing you a great 2017!
I am finding what you teach so good and so easy to get my head round without all the major explanations of things by doing it so I thank you very much and I’ll be watching and I feel I am improving when I pay back the recordings so thank you so much
"It doesn't hurt your voice to sound bad." Boy, does that ever bear repeating. Thanks Mark.
Many thanks fo all of this. I can never control the 'ah' vowel, but I hope it will come with practice.

lol My ah ah ah ah turned into a Ha (ha ha ha) Ha with your "I'd be wearing pants" still giggling Mark, love your sense of humor :) Thanks for another awesome exercise :)
Watch him turn and look at the piano at that point! I think he had to stop himself from laughing at his own joke.
Me too. I almost had to stop singing. Lol. 😀😅
And they all sang " Can you see the possibilities Oh Yeah" !!!!!!! :-)
Big thumbs up!!!
Got me!
