The Mustang Mach 1! Taking the Coyote 5.0L V8 and pairing it with various performance powertrain and track features from the upper tier Shelby GT350 and GT500 models! Sounds like a great combination. We got to drive the Tremec 6-speed manual, Handling Pack equipped Mach 1 at Road America, which is a fantastic track and a great way to experience on the most track capable versions of the Ford Mustang. As a Shelby GT350R owner and former Boss 302 Laguna Seca owner I was very very excited to see what this Mach 1 is like. Luckily, this iteration fulfilled my expectations and I had a ton of fun driving it. Check out this POV track drive and vehicle walkaround as we find out what it is like on the track, how it compares to the 10-speed automatic non-handling pack, and how it stacks up compared to the Shelby Ford Performance models!

6:27 not true ford originally intended to only make HP cars with the 6 speed but because the average mustang owner is 50+ years old and the demand was so high they started putting HP on the 10 speed.

This was a great review of the Mach 1, I have yet to see anyone do pov drive of the 2021 Mach 1 around a track! Love the way you described everything and were very honest about how you felt about it. I’m a big mustang guy! I love older mustangs just as much as newer ones so you can say I’m a real mustang enthusiast.

It's going to be a sad day when these performance machines disappear off the market, and I wish there was a way to keep the "classic muscle car" style of a coupe with a stick and a v8.

You are incorrect concerning the handling package. It is available regardless of the transmission selection. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that. Loved the track work in your video! I just ordered a 22 model. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. My first muscle car purchase! I’m selling my beloved BMW M2 Competition. I hope I’m not making a mistake! Keep up the great work!

They really neutered the track for that press day. So much so that it is NOT ‘Road America’.
You can combine the Automatic with the Handling Package. When they revealed it, it was Manual only but they switched it. I ordered mine with the HP & Automatic.
Yeah the Edmond review of the car is and auto with HP I think the Smoking Tire review is also auto with the HP.

You have to drive the X Drive M4 that thing is insane I ordered mine for 2022 and they gave me a trial ride. It does 0-60 in 2.7 Secs and great around the track managed to beat a C8 out there lol

4:54 I don’t know why when journalists review these cars they all turn off the auto rev match. It does a far better job than anyone can do. It matches the revs precisely every single time.
Because if I wanted the computer to do the shifting for me, I'd just get an automatic. More fun doing everything yourself.
What about a Mach 1 handling pack WITH an auto trans to go with it? Will it continue to feel like a GT?
Good video, but you can get handling pack with 10 speed auto not just with manual.

How did you like it compared to the N55 M2 you drove? I have an N55 M2 and sometimes I think about going American and perhaps getting a ZL1 1LE or Mustang.
If it were an M2 Comp, I would stick with the M2,, but since it's the N55, I am tempted to go American next.
American cars are so much better than European cars except Porsche, Porsche is on its own level

So compare this to the 350R. I don’t care about the auto Mach comparison with the 350R if it’s just like a GT. Disappointed that you didn’t talk more about how capable the car is in your opinion
