M4 is nice if tech and creature comforts are your thing. Mach 1 definitely when you want to go for a real drive. My m4 is my daily for its comforts and tech and my GT350 when i want to have real fun and feel good😊 no other car has given my such joy as my GT350 and that includes the Porsches I've owned.
Strange. Unless you owned a first gen Porsche Cayenne or your definition of fun is a bit awkward, there is no car journalist ever, not even the most American minded (chauvinist) car vloggers, who dared to say a Ford Mustang is a better drivers car than any Porsche 911.

Like you I've owned several Porches and I once had the opportunity to test drive a GT350, I had the complete opposite impression, I thought the GT350 handled like a boat and wasn't remotely in the same universe as my Porsches. People say they like the "drama" of these muscle cars, but to me it's all bark and no bite, I'll take the precision of the Germans.

As the owner of a 2019 gt pp1, I'll tell you there's no better value for the money than a Mustang. Yes, the BMW is better, but it is not twice better. Im going to be looking for a Mach 1 in 3 years, and I'll be keeping it for a long time. I'll be doing some mods and maybe some day be able to go to a track.
You guys are short shifting the hell out of that Mach 1. It eagerly revs all the way to 7,500 rpm in a hurry, especially once your over 5,000. I drove mine yesterday before the hail and snow and god that car rules. It shows you how good it is that a $62,000 mustang is up against a $100,000 M4 comp.

An interesting thought...I'd still put my money on the M. I love the Supra regardless of what anyone else says, but I don't know that it would keep pace with the s58 much past 0-60
Too much music and too little lap times. A more valid comparison would be the Car and Driver Lightning Lap. These two (2) vehicles (and the M3) are very close in track performance. However, as mentioned below, the the Mustang does not have the ability to change colors, spontaneously.
Due to the nature of the event we weren’t able to get true representative lap times which of course wouldn’t be fair to the manufacturers. However I will say this, the BMW even on less aggressive tires would be faster. The torque from the turbos gets it out of slow speed corners and up to speed faster

The MT82 is STRONGER than the Tremec TR3160 in the Mach 1. The TR3160 is a better driving transmission but not more durable when you add boost. The MT82 doesn’t have any issues with driveline power loses. Not sure why that misinformation is being put out there.
Stronger to that degree of power? I know people with boosted Mach 1’s rolling with boost with the tr3160 and have no issues. I’m sure once you get above a certain point it will need some love but at the end of the day the tr3160 is FAR superior to an MT82.

The only reason we were able to do this video was because we were at a media event with a specified fleet of cars (no 500) and we weren’t able to hot lap the track so couldn’t record indicative lap times. I realize this isnt really an excuse but we try our best to put out the best production we can given our constraints. We hope you liked the video even without the lap times, etc

@@saleen367 sport auto did a lap on the ring with pilot 4s as well on the m4. It was two or three seconds slower than with cup2.
