I've had my Mach 1 now for just about 2 months and its my daily driver. I am really enjoying how Ford made the car easy to drive every day and then if I want to up the performance and handling a couple of toggles and I'm off. Great job reviewing the car.

With the 700A and handling pkg it's $20k+ after taxes. 🤔💵

Almost bought one last week, but the Recaro seats were horribly uncomfortable... Just didn't fit my large frame, so I went with a GT Fastback with Performance Package instead.
I love my mach 1 I had the choice between 2 different ones. One with the upgraded wheels and spoiler with the Badr model seats, or the one with the nice Recaro buckets and base wheels and low level spoiler. I went with the seats
Nice details, Great review! Have you compared these details against the SS 1LE? This is still my choice, aside from the earlier model PP2 option, but with the Getrag, more finicky on shifts.
Excellent review! I think the Mach 1 6-spd without the performance pack but just the upgraded wheels would be perfect setup for most people, including myself. Looks great, I'd never track it anyway (no tracks near here), so this combo would be a fantastic every day driver and wouldn't have the anxiety that comes with the front splitter!
The Mach 1 you describe is exactly the one I bought a week ago! And you are CORRECT, I have a non-handling package car (what Canada calls the Performance Pak) but it DID come with optional wheels that are black 10spoke just like the Handling Pack (except not as wide); I will never track the car, so the result is a car i LOVE to have on the road, smooth riding, powerful, magnaride is amazing!, ...and it doesnt have the low low front splitter or giant rear wing. I've seen many 1/4 mile times with the Mach1, but none with the manual transmission, do you have a Dragy or taken to a track yet? I'd love to see how it does
I'm not a muscle car or pony car guy. In fact, coming from JDM, I've had a slight hatred for muscle cars and the muscle car community, but this particular car checks all of the boxes for me. In my opinion it's impossible to not like this car. In fact, even with the GR Corolla, 2023 Nissan Z, manual Supra, this is the car is the car that I want despite that it's a complete 180 for me. Mustangs have been a dime a dozen in my eyes in the past but the GT350R and this car, are truly special.
Why would you buy a manual over a automatic, or vise versa. I’m a lazy driver and since my late twenties have always loved automatics for the ease. So I’m wondering which.
As an owner of a 2019 Bullitt, I’m curious as to how you would you compare that car to this one. They seem very similar except for the Tremec manual and cosmetics. I guess there are some differences because of added cooling and aero parts, as well as cosmetics. I’m just wondering about the overall driving experience. The Bullitt is great in my opinion but I’ve not tested a Mach 1 yet.
Bullitt is more tame in the ride / handling, more comfortable on the highway, and less stressful without the low splitter and front suspension noise during parking. Still, Mach 1 is surprisingly easygoing, for a car like that, on the daily. They'll put similar grins on your face, I think the Bullitt is the more well rounded experience.
@@JustinPritchard - That makes sense. It’s like a GT350 due to the low front splitter and more aggressive ride. Frankly I love my Bullitt and wouldn’t trade it for a Mach1. To me the only benefits are the Tremec manual or option for an automatic, but those are not reasons for me. The Mach 1 also costs about $15k more on a trade.
Thanks! To me, for the dollar, I would be going with the Mach 1. I think you're just having more fun more of the time when you're driving on the street or highway. You can go through a few gear shifts without getting a speeding ticket. It's not as powerful but more accessible more of the time. If you were doing some weekend lapping, as a novice, both cars would be relatively approachable but the Shelby gives you more hardware to grow into. It's been a while since I've driven that Shelby, though I can't recall any complaints on the highway, relative to the type of car it is. I can tell you for sure the Mach 1 is ready for a highway road trip, it can be loud and stiff, or quiet and comfortable, relatively speaking. Hope that helps you line the two up against your tastes!

Ford really screwed up the Mach 1 pricing here in Canada. There is a $14k MSRP difference between an equally equipped GT 301A with PP1 and MagneRide ($54,200) vs a base Mach 1 600A ($68,100) without the handling pack.
