The Mach1 is definitely worth the price. Before it was released I was considering purchasing an Mustang GT Premium for $55k. Only $5k more for the Mach1? Yes please!
Even then, you can get a Mach 1 cheaper. Our Orange one came in at around $54k
I purchased one a week ago. Is it worth 60k? -- Advice? go drive one. Really research what it would take to build a car of this stature. I think it's every penny worth the price I paid. I drove a ZL1 1le. YES, it's an amazing car. Then, I drove the MACH 1. even naturally aspirated and all, I wouldn't have done anything different. -- But hey, to each their own. -- Both of them, are amazing. Simple as that. Crazy handling, sounds and looks great, and goodies from the GT350, GT500. Coolers, torsion bars and hell, it's ready for a fun day at the track. IMHO? you only live once, do it. Life, is short.
its not worth that price, we got robbed by ford. 2021 mach 1 shouldve had the 5.2L voodoo engine plus least 505hp for 60k

The Mach 1 is fantastic from inside and out. I keep hearing about the missing shaker hood. My first new car was a red 1969 Mach 1 gold stripes with a 351 Cleveland. It did not come with a shaker hood. I had a closed black scoop setting on a black stripe center hood decal I found the scoop could be opened which I did and added a vacuum ram air breather. It worked great. The shaker hood was mainly available on Cobra Jets and Boss cars. So not all Mach 1s came with a shaker. I think the hood looks fantastic without the Shaker. I've been shopping the Mach 1 and even finding extremely low mileage copies selling for $60,000. Thanks for the ride along and your take on this fantastic Mustang.
The Mach 1 logo script looks just like the logo on the rocker panel of the 1970 Mach 1. Very retro.

@@345vinny u did right by ordering the Mach 1 with the handling package. That’s the only way I would have ordered if I were to have bought one. The base Mach 1 just doesn’t do it for me at that price.

The handling pack changes make the car look sooo much more aggressive!
My 2019 Bullitt has the diff cooler and diffuser with Magna ride 350 intake and Throttlebody. 480ph, 425 torque.
Crazy that Ford makes you pay extra for the built in Navi/GPS when it's included with the 401A on the GT.
I got a fighter jet grey coming (auto) here to Australia I wish we got the handling pack down under.
We don't get it in UK either. Sucks.
4.9 seconds with a wet floor is not bad although I don't think there is much difference with a dry floor but it would be fun to see another with a dry floor and a 1/4 mile
I ordered mine couple weeks ago with the handling package and the Recaro seats, grabber yellow, have to wait till late spring early summer next year for it to be delivered

Noises at 8:03 are road bumps guys, you know, those little indentions in the road before some intersections that vibrate everything to make you aware you coming up to a stop sign or something..

At first, I was not happy that Ford had skipped out on the Shaker hood. Now, after seeing the CDC shaker option, I've relaxed on that. Not saying that CDC did a bad job, but the rectangular shaker just doesn't compliment the car.

I used to do, and think, the same thing, man. Keep on, keepin on, you'll get it if you really want it. -- I have an 07 GT500 -- a 14 Sting ray Z51 -- a 2019 GT base built the way I wanted for the strip -- and Now, a 2021 MACH 1 -- Time and effort, my bother, time and effort. The GODS are watching.
FYI: TREMEC comes standard, even on the base Mach 1!

Agree most in thread, It's the gunfighter in color with every option or I wouldn't bother (gotta say, 10r80 is growing on me as left knee not enjoying the 97 DRW 2nd gen 12 valve shifting, figure it won't like it too much more in MACH1)

If I didn’t already have a pp2 I would consider a Mach 1 but only with the handling package manual. The price on these things are outrageous. A low mileage 350 is cheaper or nearly the same price as some of the Mach 1s new especially with markups.
Man that's awesome but it would be even better if we could add the Tremec. He'll, I'd be willing to pay to upgrade to the Tremec and add the diff cooler too.

@@PrPr-lc7hk The Manual in the Mach 1 is one of the best on the market, but the 10-speed Auto will destroy it any day of the week.

what's is the possibility Ford puts the Tremic 6 speed in the standard GT? The MT82 6 speed is problematic and the Tremic is reliable and a good performer. I want a GTPP1 with the Tremic. the Mach 1 has too much stuff for me and the price is too high for a mustang. Give me a GTPP1, no magneride, no luxury add ons, with a Tremic for under $50K and I'm in...
So Steeda couldn't get the handling pack version or film on a dry day???

Dropping the shaker hood was for pedestrian safety. What would the EPA care about the shaker hood unless it increased emissions?

My local ford dealer has one and they’re asking $10,000 over msrp for a total of $68,500. Just absurd!!

I'd take all the badging off and just have a Mach 1 on the rear deck lid. I'd also remove all the sticker/stipe crap. I like the clean look.

Does it really have the adaptive cruise control? As far as I got told they were not able to offer it since the turn signals are not the LED turn signals with the cameras integrated in it anymore?
Yes, the adaptive cruise control is an available as an option in the Mach 1.
@@steedaautosports No, the ACC is not available on the Mach 1, no matter what the order guide indicates. I just took delivery of my Mach 1 last week and I can confirm it is not there. See the Mustang6G forums for much discussion about this oversight by Ford.
Mine doesn't have acc but I do have lane keep assist
@@jdweigand45 Lane keeping and driver alertness are both there and can be enabled/disabled. Collision warning and pre-loading braking is there, so the radar unit must already be in the car. Looks like a matter of enabling the programming and changing the switches in the steering wheel.
Front fascia looks different from the other S550's but it doesn't look good!
Funny your talking about the 10 speed auto in Camaro but correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t Ford create the 10 Automatic and licensed it to Chevy?
The Ford and Chevy 10-speeds were co-developed but they are not the same gearbox.

My 10R80 shifting is jerky as f#*@. Switch it to sport manual is even worse and the lack of proper SMOOTH rev matching down shifts is awful. Almost 3 years now and still no firmware fix from Ford. Definitely the worst part of my 2019 GT and regret not going with the manual (which I've always done in the past).
The 10R80 has been heavily improved in the Mach 1 to fix those issues.

I have a Mach 1 and I have driven the GT350. The 350 handles great but does not have much torque and throttle response in the low and mid range, Mach 1 has more power down low and is a better daily driver in my opinion. As far as the price mine is a 22 model and cost $60,000 with the Tremec. A GT premium with some of the same options is right at $57,000. So the car is not really overpriced in today's crazy market. All this "parts bin" talk is bullshit. All cars are just the sum of it's parts. If you don't like it or think it's too expensive then don't buy one.

They unfortunately did, the Michelin PS 4 are much better then the crappy Pirelli tires now on the GT performance pack
A stock m340 is doing 3.9 all day not to mention the 21 m3/m4. They need to make it awd.. Anything over 4.5 is slow with 480hp

If you want some relevant performance figures instead of just a hole shot/60 foot evaluation (basically traction) instead look to 1/4 mile trap speeds and 60-130 times

I wish you could get the handling pack with the Auto as well. Love the 315 wheels and front splitter better than the regularone with the Auto transmission version. I just wish Ford added a heads up display and the performance recorder like the Camaro has to make it more appealing. Feels boring how they pull parts from their parts bin and call it something else but it's the same car and more expensive.
I believe you can get the Handling Pack with the 10R80 Auto! It's an option they added after the initial release. You can read more through this article below when they made the announcement late last year. -Chris

So they took away the nice wide wheels of the performance pack 2, make you pay for the “handling package” to get them, slap a tremec in a pp2 and call it a Mach 1. Good job ford!! An extra $10,000 for a tremec transmission and the “Mach 1” package.
There is quite a lot more to it than just that in the car.

The morons at Ford called this a Mach 1 instead of the Boss 302 Mustang that it was designed to be. Other than the GT350 and GT500 the only other Ford Mustang track car was the Boss 302 Mustang. For the Mach 1 I would have brought back the supercharged 5.8 aluminum block Trinity engine (2013/2014 GT500) or used the Ford Racing/Roush supercharger to make the Mach 1 a Hellcat Challenger and Zl1 Camaro competitor.
The Mach 1 isn't supposed to be a Hellcat or ZL1 competitor. That would be the GT500 in both performance and price.
@@steedaautosports You might want to do some more Ford history Research. The 2012-2013 Boss 302 magazine reviews discuss the upgrades from the GT including the two fake headlights, the similar to the GT350 intake, Brembo brakes, 444hp compared to the 412hp GT, all of the track focused suspension, etc. Call this car a Boss 302 and nobody brings up the shaker hood and the 428 cobra jet Mach1 heritage. I hate to break it to you that the 2020 GT500 was designed and priced to have the 797hp Hellcat Challenger Redeye and 755hp ZR1 Corvette as it's competitors. Bring back the 750hp Ford Racing/Roush supercharger the Mach 1 would slap this 480hp version of the car, a 717hp Hellcat, ZL1 Camaro and ZO6 Vette. If you take the extra $10,000 this car cost over a track pack GT and buy a Whipple or Roush supercharger it would slap this Mach1 around at on the track and 1/4 mile.

I think it's a great car, but it's too much money. It will also lose 10hp and torque in 2022. I just see these devaluing extremely quick and they are making a ton of them. I'd buy a 12/13 Boss 302 honestly.

Correction… The Mach 1 and the GT PP2 do not have the same tires any more… as of 2021 MY, the size is till 275 40 29 and 255 40 19 but Mach 2 has the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The GT PP1 has the Pirelli P ZEROS. Not the same at all. Pirellis are trash! The Pilot Sport are Z rated. The Pirellis are W rates. WTF is that shit!? So no, not the same at all

Terribly overpriced IMO. This is a Mustang GT with a Mach I option package. How is that Mach I more refined vs the "comfortable" PP2? That's laughable.

Put a rear diff cooler on my 18 10r80 and were even.
Love the Mach1, but for a little more I can get a ZL1 Camaro that has a lot more on it! Plus dealers are adding extra to the sticker for the Mach1. Where you can deal on the ZL1. I still have some time to make my choice.
The Mach 1 starts at $51K it all depends on how you option it out. But if your dealership is charging a markup then they really should not be YOUR dealership. I work at a dealership in San Antonio and we haven’t sold any of our Mach 1’s with markup...👍🏽👍🏽
The tricky part is if you don’t get all the options why get a Mach 1? Its just to say you have one. Sadly guys with regular 21 GT’s can make theirs look like a Mach 1 as it a parts bin.
Yeah right, you can get in a Mach 1 for a lot cheaper than a ZL1. You can’t compare MSRP on one to actual sale price on another.

It's technically the best from the PP2/Bullitt and then took a lot of the performance parts from the GT350 and GT500. It's more than an average GT could be.
Spend 10k more and get a base c8 !
4:21 Ford still using those nasty yellow interior light bulbs even on 2021 high end Mustangs. And don't even get me started on the hood prop rod. 🙄
