Hi, as someone who constantly hits the 1,2,3 keys in blender this is great. I don't even use a tablet much but 15 years of c4d has made it muscle memory. Thanks.
I've always preferred the 1 2 3 navigation for C4D and never liked the other navigation methods. Now trying out Blender so being able to match the navigation is exactly what I was after, thanks Shawn.
Shawn - this is KILLER. Thank you! I'll explore blender a bit more now. The built in "emulate 3 button mouse" option still felt uncomfortable for people with RSI like me! You are SO right about clicking the pen buttons as little as possible. It's why I switched to C4d years ago.
Hi, i came here to learn some tricks for C4D, i use blender/ Graphic Tablet and for navigation i use: Alt ---- Rotate the view Alt Ctrl ------ Zoom in/out Alt Shift ----- Pan Alt win ------- frame selection They are the best hotkeys for me because i have always my fingers naturally on Alt/Ctrl/ shift/win Thanks for the video
I use the pen buttons in both C4D & Blender but I press with my thumb, so I don't have that issue. I like your workaround, though and might have to give it a shot. Thanks.
as a mosue user i never think that Cinema 4D or even blender have this little features! since i always broke all my miffle mouse key using alt middle a lot
It doesn't allow to input number string on macbook's keyboard. I had to emulate numpad, then export the keyboard configuration file and change "NUMPAD_1" to 'ONE' and then import that into blender and turn off numpad emulation again. This is so messed up, why Blender is like that?
Unfortunately, when hovering over the gizmo it doesn't work. For example the move gizmo when you have an object selected - the object then just flies away. Did you figure out a solution for this?
Shoot I'm sorry I'm just seeing this now. I have not experienced what you are talking about. Also, though I have not used Blender in a bit... Next time I'm in there, I'll see if I can investigate.

As a fellow tablet c4d user who also struggles with blender, I thank you kindly Sir. Thank you very much.

Thank you for sharing Shawn. This is one of the reasons that kept me from trying out Blender fully.
Just downloaded Blender to begin learning it as a C4D user. I hope this will make the transition or addition much smoother. Thank you for this!
That is Incredible. You are my savior bro. Thanks for your great tutorial. Know i'm ready to try learn blender with c4d navigation. haha

Amazing Tip Man ! Thanks !
quick and easy thanks
Thanks for the vid, but would have been even better if you simply uploaded the file to set this that we could download.
Damn useful!
I can't navigate Blender's sculpt mode using this tutorial.
Do you know which key would be affecting sculpt mode?
Am I the only one to get strong Walter White vibes looking in Shawns face? ;)
Thanks for the tips!
haha, great costume idea!
