To drive while intoxicated and seriously injure two others, one of whom suffered a permanent limp, is not trivial. For someone described as being so talented and successful, how was it that he got behind on paying the $275K restitution to the victims? I am NOT suggesting that the revenge was justified, or that his murderers didn't get what they deserved. But I am concerned that those who owe restitution are allowed to skip out on paying.
