    Pete needs a velvet dressing gown and a rotating bed with a mirror over it if he's going to carry on playing like that closing jam. Naughty. Also, on a nerdier note, I love how good he is at switching from major to bluesy pentatonic at just the right moments in things like this - has such a cool effect on the feel of the jam.

    I love how this Pedal is so nostalgic in the sense that it looks like there is a cassette tape recording... but you don't quite remember pressing the play and record button.
    Very very unique design.

    A tape echo that fits (although barely) on your pedalboard, with two delays, chorus and tap tempo - there's really nothing like it currently. It also seems very easy to maintain - change the tape, clean, etc. I would definitely be using it for analog synth tracks as well as guitar.

      i've got a behringer tube screamer clone, for 30 notes its really very good. also had an line 6 style fx unit but that was pants. Sometimes but not always i think the high price you pay for some of the more high end gear is dissproportionate to the quality you actualy get.

    Great guitarist! Great sound! Massively overpriced! I mean it's not like a helix or a kemper where you have to pay for the research and development of the product, this is 50 year old analogue technology? I'd happily pay £200 top

    • @andertons
      @andertons  8 років тому +9

      +Strabbs12345 Well, good guitarist, yes, old technology, well, not really! Also, you have to remember these are made, all by hand, by one person, it's not mass produced in the Far East, all hand made in Denmark at T-Rex HQ! Plus all the research and development and time that has gone into this to get them to the final product, that has all cost time and money. Analog tape delay, with three heads (times), chorus and a tap tempo, try to come up with a way of putting all that into a box this size. We bet you that is not easy! Anyway, you were saying? ;)

    • @Strabbs12345
      @Strabbs12345 8 років тому

      i totally appreciate that, and it does sound amazing! you pays ya money you makes ya choice I suppose. I never realy understood the attraction of "hand made " bit however! Pete is still my favourite guitarist though! makes me wana nick his licks one minute, then quit all together the next!

    • @arensel84
      @arensel84 7 років тому

      Andertons Music Co they should have made this 1/4 inch tape. I don't get why trex keeps pushing this as "classic/authentic" tape echo. It's like comparing a 4cyl to a V8 engine! Great concept for a pedal nonetheless.

      Buddy Martin just get a used cassette tape deck with a line in and varispeed. You will get nearly the same tones just no tap tempo. Blank cassette tapes are pretty cheap too! Your looking for a 1/4inch tape echo if wanting classic tape delay tones like all the greats used.

    • @budandbean1
      @budandbean1 7 років тому

      That's actually a great idea, thanks! I could get a cassette and adjust the speeds with an Arduino. I would be awfully close. I might even try this... And its not like you would ever run out of tape to use, one regular cassette would finish all you ever need. You get a plus 1.

    • @arensel84

    Cough! Too bad you didn't make it 1/4 inch tape like all the classic tape echo tones that we think and drool over! Cassette tape delay should not be considered classic tape echo. Props for the marketing hype though. I see plenty of people saying this sounds like Gilmour's delay or echoplex/space echo players tones! Smh🙈
