- Playing my Yamamoto Talus. Guitar. It has a Fishman under the saddle. Played through Fishman Preamp, AFX Mini EQ Pedal.to A Bose S1. In addition, playing into a shure mic. Recorded on an iPhone

Yes, you showed this guitar a while back. It’s truly well thought out in every possible way. Yes, it’s a 12 fret, but that cutaway lets you gerbil up to and beyond the 14th. I’d call it a 12/14 fret guitar, lol. Thanks for sharing more details about this beautiful guitar. I was curious about it when you originally showed it to us. Looks like a joy to play!
Would be fascinating if you could find the Mr. Yamamoto to see if he’d do an interview by video - would be fun if he remembers you from the shop and/or this guitar! I’d love to know how he got into building them with an engineering background. I know a similar story happened with KLOS Guitars where one of the Klosowski brothers studied engineering and just happened to love playing guitar and then one thing led to another with a project he did at school where he built a carbon fiber guitar . . . and before long, he and he brother launched a Kickstarter and a brand!
